I don't know why you hate this phone... i have this phone and i can say is the best phone. Phone is fast as samsung s10e and battery can live all day without problem and camera is good. I agree the phone is overpriced, if you have no money for it don't hate phone

I thought it was Samsung's "glastic". Also, why would they ditch the headphone jack? There's already no chance of waterproofing.

I just bought the phone and do not let the reviews fool you,the fone is amazing! It has a lot of on board memory, there is no need for extra. Secondly they say it has no headphone jack, another lie. You plug in headphones on the charging outlet and works like a charm. It comes with an original case,debunking claims that you can't put a cover. The only slight downside is it is slightly heavy,so for gym rats like me it becomes slightly inconvenient to carry. Otherwise overally it's a great phone for the price i got it for at least. I'm happy

This could add more budget to greater camera and a really good selfie cam at the same time..This really shows the real and cool things samsung has been doing to their phones.... we need to sacrifice the time lag frm rear to the front cam but its definitely worth it... I would give a couple hundred bucks for phone like this.. The cam quality can be even doubled up cuz I think this is already a great phone and bigger and better cam would just make it even better.. Sometimes a cam like this is really useful for a mid range phone.. Its only disadvantage is that of it not being waterproof which I think is not that big of an Issue cuz we have lived without that before and Nobody wants to use their phones underwater.. samsung has also paid a lot of attention to the detail of this phone and Idk why this is soo underrated.. I m not sure if this has a face lock cuz that could be a bit slow.. But I myself a A70 user, feel really good while using the on screen fingerprint scanner.. I think the price is a bit too high for a mid range phone.. cuz A70 is much cheaper as compared to this .. Also the 6 gig of ram gives it a bit more than required ... its ok and the one ui is the best.. Cant wait for the 1UI update to be on this phone.. The great motor of this phone could be a great example to other companies..There is a slight risk in any physical parts of the phone... If one plus starts doing this... it might be cool.. but those camera.. thats smthin they would lose .. overall A80 is a beast!!🤯

Maybe its not as good as the A70 in different ways, but I think its a nice way they are going. The teardrop nodge is not my thing, so I really aprreciate the new model A80. The screen is huge and looks amazing, which has some advantages :P :D

I'd like to get this in the states, but I think my connection will be HSPA+ or even 3G, This looks better than the Asus phone.

Samsung is very innovative. Thinking outside the box. While other manufacturers (apple) are changing the size of their phones along with tweaks to their software, and renaming it. People should appreciate that.

It's just fragile plus that price isn't exactly budget for a phone lacking some basics like a headphone jack and sd card. No thanks.

Solid review

Worst variant of A 2019 series yet, no headphone jack, no microsd slot, small battery. Sd 730g is decent for midranger but around A80's price there are many better options that offers sd855 like Asus Zenfone 6 and Redmi K20 Pro. Really disappointed with Samsung on this one.

Thanks, when I kept looking at focuses reviews like the flip camera actually being reliable, etc., I was really liking it until I saw this review. Yikes! Lots of people use blue tooth for listening needs, but I prefer plug in while driving or traveling as I think battery life is better. I also prefer to use plug in head phones a lot of times so if I need to, I can blue tooth to something other than a headset at the same time. Huge loss to me is that the light flips around but won't turn on. No auto focus in selfie mode??!? I was thinking to use it as a RU-vidr where I'd get better face shooting while being able to keep an eye on the shot. I still could, but lacking stabilization front AND back? Yikes.

Why would they not include a headphone jack? All the other phones in this series have one...

And they put this tech to a mid class phone just to see if people would want it the camera to be like that so they won't waste too much, nice(explains why it has no sdcard slot too). The camera concept is not bad, i wonder what makes it better if at all than the other similar ideas thought from the engineer's standpoint.

What's the point of making selfies with 48mpx main camera when you don't get the same features as when you're taking regular pics?! This is probably just a test to see how market reacts and to figure out manufacturing and day to day user issues before they do the same with new Galaxy S and Note phones, only implemented much better.

I'm buying a new phone tomorrow and I'm stuck between the a80 and Huawei mate 20 pro. Would the a80 be better for me? I usually just watch Netflix, RU-vid and browse the web on my phone. Occasionally I play a game or two that catches my eye. I like the idea of a 6.7" notchless screen since I hate notches. And that's my main problem with the mate 20 pro, hudge arse notch and a smaller screen. Any of you folks can give advice and experiences with either of the devices?

Didn’t get a dongle so couldn’t test audio out quality? I mean do they have proprietary tech for usb c to headphone, cuz if they don’t you should have a dongle lying around! Little bewildered with that dongle comment in the video.
