Hey guys, my main IG account got compromised and disabled, so if you wanna show some love and check out my new main account @hallofbirds, that would be awesome. Thanks for all the support here on YT and over on Instagram, it really means a lot.
@@BrentHall I honestly didnt care much about the camera or taking pictures.wasnt my thang but I'm getting into using my camera more..man you really broke it down for me in this video.like a mini picture taking class..watched it twice now...thanks man..damn good job..took your time didn't rush thru it.
@@BrentHall I guess the intro of this video you're talking about: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4o3jqHYFsdA.html If that's the one, then it's awesome!! 👌🏼
We used to be able to shoot video in PRO mode but we can no longer do that. That capability was present in the 9 series when it came out but it was removed or disabled in early 2019. For that reason, I started buying real cameras.
Idk, it's pretty similar to the others, at least in terms of camera stuff, plus I don't have one or know anyone who has one for me to mess with, so that's a bit of a deterrent for me.
I actually just mess with the pro mode with properly understanding it. Until now! I really love this tutorial of yours, making it quite simple but in details.
I shoot in monochrome frequently. In ordinary photo mode it's available by entering my filters , you can even save the filter settings from other pictures taken on another device. ...can't find a way to shoot monochrome in pro mode though. Good video that thanks.
Thanks Brent I enjoyed that. You have inspired me, I will definitely get out and use pro mode now. I have a question, how do I set as "default" so my camera returns to my last used setting? For example if I am using video then switch camera off, I want it to reopen on video. Hope you can help, thanks.
@Brent Hall i need a suggestion how to take long exposure shots for water fall? I did increase the shutter speed for 5 secs but it got over exposed i tried to reduce the ISO to the lowest by didn't worked..can you pls suggest how to take that ...and also sometime I want to take photos directly focusing sun light but too not giving perfect pics what I am looking for ...could you please tell me ...by the way i am using Note 10 plus
I love your youtube vids on the Galaxy. I had a quick question on a tutorial I've seen that I think you created regarding photo editing. The task is simple, just editing out someone's face and copy and pasting another image on top of the cut out, like a mesh. I cant find it anywhere but I used to be able to this on a note 10. Can you recommend a tutorial or link? Thanks!
Always wanted to know how to use pro mode on my Galaxy phones. Glad found this page. Would you be making similar vid with S20 Ultra? Just got one There is a new beast in town
@@BrentHall I actually learned something with how to use those controls on the pro camera. My problem will be trying to remember what you had said. So I'm sure I'll have to keep referring back to it to refresh my old pitiful memory. Good day, sir
Thank you, Brent, for your, always interesting, and informative videos. I wanted to make sure I understood you correctly when you mentioned (11:45) that the pro mode video feature was taken out by Samsung. I just bought (I always wait until more affordable) mine and it has a pro video option. Are you talking about something entirely different? What'd I miss?
Also video! The pro mode doesn't seem to have access to the note 10 plus wide angle camera though. I wish we had a pro mode for shooting video too. Hopefully with a next update
My old galaxy S8 plus has pro video mode in video. I can adjust my iso, exposure, white balance, frame rate and quality of the video. Many new Samsung products can't do that.
Hello Brent, I'm a very big fan. I really like your videos specially the mobile photography tips you're making. Thank you very much for the tutorials now I can be able to shoot like a pro with my Samsung device. Anyway, do you think you can do Timelapse with your Note 10? There's an available Intervalometer at Play store. Maybe a challenge shoot for you? Holy Grail Timelapse thru Note 10? :) Cheers! Keep up!
@@BrentHall Actually there's a built-in Hyperlapse on Samsung's camera. But the traditional way of making timelapses is I think the one you preferred. :)
Yeah, learning the basicss is always helpful! I have a few videos about that and a playlist for it too, that you might like. Here's one of the videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z_3ZyAX_3gY.html
Thank you for this video. Very informative. Can I ask about the actual processing. When I shoot in pro mode and zoom in close to something, the jpeg version is indeed a close-up but the dng raw file is not. Is this how it works or is there a setting I should be using?
That's because in Pro Mode, it only allows you to use the main lens, so when you zoom in, it's actually just cropping in on the main lens and not using the telephoto lens, so it saves the original raw image, and gives you the cropped in jpeg as well.
@@BrentHall Can I ask another question? Can I change the timeout settings of the camera? I'm trying to shoot birds at a bird table from a tripod using my SPen. Whilst I am waiting for a bird to arrive, the camera screen goes off and if I long press the SPen button to get the screen back it is no longer in Pro Mode. I tried changing the screen timeout to the maximum of 10 minutes but it does not seem to work in the camera mode. Any way around this please? Thanks in advance. Carol
Hi, I love photography and taking scene pictures but don't know a lot about settings. I love editing pictures after I have taken them. So does that mean when you shoot in raw that after you have edited the picture you still have the original? So you have two pictures? This has been my pet hate as sometimes I've edited the picture too much and lost the original. Loved the video, thank you 😄
Yes, most image editing is non-destructive, so if you push it too hard, you can either undo it in the editor, or you can trash it and start over with the original.
Do you know if the note 10 (not 10+) can take good pictures of far away objects for example the moon/stars? If so what would be the appropriate aperture and what not for capturing a photo like that? Thank you in advance 💗
"Good" is a very relative term, unfortunately. Yes, it can take moon and star images, however; your definition of "good" may vary from mine or others'. Personally, I think that the moon is still one of the hardest things to photograph with a phone (any phone), as they're just not well suited for it hardware-wise, and I don't do it. Stars, on the other hand are a little more doable with phones (including the note 10, to a point) and more decent night sky images can be obtained with the phone if you're willing to put some knowledge, time, and effort into making the image. I have quite a few videos on photographing the stars and milky way with phones, and while they may not all be with the note 10, the principles are the same for any phone or camera,
Yup he's right, I just saw the new Galaxy 22 top tier can take decent photos of the moon, when not even the iPhone 13 could. The technology just isn't there for phones just yet. But we are real close
Not after the android pie update. Samsung removed the video features in pro mode. If you want manual controls for video now, you'll have to get a 3rd party app.
Hi. I'm new to the note 10+ and wanted to know how to take non-fuzzy action shots e.g. from a moving vehicle - but without going through pro mode. Is there a single click way of doing this?
