On the note 9 when display screen lock or swipe is better if it gets locked & says sim puk code is almost impossible. It happened on the note 20 ultra should be on swipe. .
@@poligonzo5300 it's been this way for a while but phone upgrades aren't really worth the money unless you're upgrading from like 3 or more years behind
@@HearMeLearn yup you right my note 10plus is insane, battery life and fast charge, screen, man, total package, I'll wait a little longer, , plus 12gb of ram, I don't what's wrong with Samsung by doing this crap, the only good thing is the 120hz rate
Its amazing how the note 10 plus still offer things the note 20 ultra/s22 doesn't have. 3 yrs later and still no reason to upgrade. Samsung really made this the Rolls-Royce of phones when they built this! 💎💰🎩
Just upgraded 10 plus and side-by-side I see the 20 ultra's more beautiful because the bump looks industrial, higher refresh rate, 5g download speed, slightly larger screen (movies yes!) and improved telephoto are worth it! black 20 ultra is more neutral "hue" than the "bluish cool" black 10 plus and more reflective, cool!! I'll wash my hands!! I use a jump program and upgrading is less a shock w monthly payments! ♡
Thank you! I couldn't make up my mind on which to buy and you made it exceptionally easy. As a long time RU-vidr commenting is just not my jam but I had to tell you that your video is exceptionally well done, informative and to the point. You made my decision so much easier, thank you so much and keep up the good work!
I was waiting for the launch of the Note 20 Ultra. After 10 days of watching reviews and thoughts on that phone, I arrived to the same conclusions and I bought a reconditioned Note 10 Plus for 650€. The Note 20 Ultra is a solid flagship, but it isn't perfect (battery, Exynos, 120Hz on 1080p only, huge camera bump), and there are too little progress over the previous Note. It is simply overpriced for what it is.
The Note 10+ 5G is my most recent phone. Can't fault it. Got a privacy glass screen protector within a metal gorilla case. Still getting updates often too. 👍🏻
After seeing the 128 Base Storage of the Note 20 Ultra. Then I looked up to my Note 10 Plus storage saying 128 used of 256 memory. I whispered toy note 10 plus. You are safe Buddy. Not yet...Not yet... 😊
Thanks for this fantastic information ❣ I now have the note 8 plus and choose for the note 10 plus because of your overall explanation 🙏Thank you. Aleksandra from the Netherlands 🍀🧚♂️
Saki, I really like your channel. Your enthusiasm with it. Note10 was the phone that made me left Apple. And its a phone I bought at the pré-release and It still, almost one year later, impressing me with its features! Im not changing to note20. It simply not worth it. I know that those companies have to sell and earn tons of money and they recicle their tech and I mean, Its the same phone from last year, and each year we want something new... So the math doesnt closes properly if you have to make something really new and lifechanging each year. So they recicle their tech. I get it. But they shouldnt presente it as something really new and better than the last year. I really love my note10. I dont feel that on a smartphone since I bought my first smart phone, which was an Iphone 5s. Nowadays I still think we could be at a better place, with better tech, but what we got on the market, and for the kind of user Im, the note10 its the best! Finishing this subject and changing for a question for you: I'm a person who bought the note10 for the s-pen. I draw. A lot. So Im the kind of user who draw, write, use the s-pen daily and other tech that I need (like tablets and pc/notebooks) I usually look for digital pencils. My question is: what do you think to direct your videos about those gadgets, like note10 (or the note line, note20, etc) for the people who really work with the pen? For example, I imagine that you doesn't draw, so maybe you wouldn't try to make a review for artists with a note 10. But I think this could bring more people to your channel, and to review that you wouldn't need to be a artist. Just to know their demands. Like app, tech quality, pen precision, the surface, the feeling of drawing with this tech, the price, comparissons with other kind of tech which could do the same or better, prices, etc. Anyway, thanks again for the video! See ya
I LOVE my Note 10. I've had it almost 2 years now? I was extremely excited to upgrade to the Note 20 when I heard about it; however, after watching this video, I think I'll keep my Note 10 until something happens to it. My Note 10 doesn't have a scratch on it and its the first phone that didn't have a cracked screen within the first 2-3 months, like all my previous phones. That says a LOT considering my 8 year old steals it from me every day for half the day.....lol
Thank you so much for the comparison. I find your RU-vid videos very helpful. Please keep them coming. I am keeping my note 10 plus. When 5g becomes more available, then diffinately will need to upgrade. The camera size on the new note 20 ultra is a big problem for me. I really like the slim design on my now 10 plus much better Cheers!
How's it holding up? I have the note 9 as well and want to get either the 10+ or 20 ultra. Leaning towards the 20 ultra because I can actually find it in bronze lol but I would want something that lasts
@@GrenadaLovee Good! I trust this glass a lot more. And everything works fine, but in all honesty, I have owned the Note line for a very long time now, and if you own any past Note phones, it's going to feel right at home. I remember when I switched from the 8 to 9 I was like... did I even get a new phone? Lol. So, in my experience, it truly hasn't made that much of a difference. So I'd recommend any recent Note phone really, I enjoy them all :)
It took me A LOT to finally agree to upgrade my Note 10 Plus 5G Aura and I am so happy I did. The Note 20 Ultra Mystic White is actually beautiful and such a nice upgrade to the Aura. I was tired of the awful rainbow mirror finish. The photo quality is worth the camera bump to be honest. I still think this year's release was disappointing and not worth the upgrade in general. Considering I'm on Samsungs upgrade plan it was a no brainer. Paying less a month and can upgrade to the Note 30 next year which will hopefully be amazing.
Im using my Note 10+ its still great after a year even tho im using an exynos variant😑 Im only tempted to switch to Note 20 ultra due to its better camera hardware and most of all 120hz display but from day one ive been using my note 10+,ive made the all the animation to 0.5x in developer settings and i kinda feel like its "compensating" for its slower 60hz display Its still slicky smooth with that turn on
Didn't they just change the name? The note had an s-pen, the s23 ultra has a docked s-pen.... (oh maybe s23 ultra wasn't available when you commented....? If so, sorry 😊)
@@markjamison9132 you don't need to say anything, i live in bosnia and here 4G was released about a year and 3 months ago, soooooo I will buy 5G phone 2026. XD
Everyone’s complaining about it not being an upgrade but honestly this isn’t a phone for note 10+ owners. It’s a phone made to get Apple owners to switch. And it WORKED I placed my order on release day and will be trading in my iPhone 11 Pro for this.
dude thank you so much for the video i was thinking maybe i'll upgrade from my note 10+ to the note 20 ultra but after watching this oh hell no its not worth it so once again very well educated cause of you very well clear cut decisions and comparisons thank you so much!!! just subscribed too cause of this video
I'm on the Samsung upgrade program. They are asking me to upgrade. I'm on the fence. 3 things keeping me from making the leap: 1. 256GB Base storage. I'd have to pay extra to get the 512GB. I don't need 512GB but I need more than 128GB. Not sure why Samsung reduced this. 2. 45W Charging. WHY did they remove this? 3. My phone is the Aura Blue, which is likely the most beautiful phone I've ever owned. The Note 20 colors don't come close. At the end of the day, I'll likely stick with my Note 10+ for now.
This was super helpful thank you, i try to keep up to date with my note series and just got my 10 plus then the ultra came out 2 months later so I wasn't sure
Still want to upgrade cuz i ended up getting an Exynos note 10+ when i specifically chose the 855 on Amazon. I believe that the difference in performance is too great to ignore going from Exynos 9825 to Snapdragon 865+.
Thanks. Im convinced now no need to upgrade.. My note 10plus bought 2019 is still powerful and i only use it for little browsing, calling and texting. I even barely used the Spen thingy, dex and still figuring out other cool stuff note 10+ have. And 4G network is excellent. Will save me some buck instead.
I still have my note 8 stored away. I still have my Note 10 plus in use. But, now that Note 20 Ultra has been out for awhile I purchased it for just $515. I always wait a couple of years to buy any worthwhile upgrade phone.
The only reason I'm using to the now 20ultra from my note 10plus, is because on a white lighter colored screen, you can see the keyboard and letters Frozen onto the screen and the multi screen line across the screen. It has never been exposed to water and has always had a case on it. When I was younger, I would have to get a new phone at least twice a year from throwing it or dropping it, but I take care of my phones now. Too much $$$ lol.
thanks for the infomation . ive been having some issues finally with my note 10 and been trying to decide and ill just be getting another note 10 now . thank you somuch
I didnt know if it was bc u didn't have the brightness up all the way on the note 20 but it looked like the note 10 has better brightness and I like that.
@@maheshmurali2697 got the note 9 and got the ultra and sent it back. Didn't see that much to upgrade to . Camera was better , couldn't focus on really small stuff. 50 x zoom still sucks . @@Wise2010Guy Yea where is it 833? Also, that is still very expensive. I know the note 10+ last year in november was on sale for 29/ 24 months which comes out to only 696 so you still paid way more than you should have for a year old phone now..
Does one really need 512 gb or is 128 gb enough. I am asking because I am getting an incredible offer on S10 Lite for 8gb/512gb variant. Should I go for it?
@@AmandeepSingh-oc7sx I have had my note for about a year and I am half full. I take some amount of pictures and video of my kids every week. I have probably 400 apps installed. So honestly 512GB is a ridiculous amount of storage.
Thanks for the awesome comparison! As a fellow Note 10+ user like many of the reviewers here, I came here to see what I'm missing out. It appears that I can give Note 20 Ultra a miss, since the improved hardware ain't that significant to warrant a change.
I fell for the 120 Hz meme and upgraded from the 10+ to the 20 Ultra mainly for the trade in deal. It's a gorgeous screen, but the refresh rate doesn't impress me. It eats a TON of battery, too. I've since went QHD @60 Hz and am getting similar battery life to my old 10+. The biggest upgrade to me are the speakers. Looking back, it's not really worth it.
Made 2 of us but luckly i stood with my note 10+ so i can go back & return the 20 ultra is pointless in upgrading 🤦🏽♂️ there wasn't enough new features in the 20 ultra that Note 10+ doesnt have
@@MarkReynoldsIT not a huge difference but also in my case, the way I hold the phone, my finger covers the bottom speaker now if I'm holding the phone without a case since they switched the bottom layout of the s-pen, speaker and mic on the 20U.
My wife went from an iphone10 to Notebook10+ No issues. Even camera is close almost.. a great value still. I just got brand new Note10+ at $200 That's value
Trying to decide between tab s7+ and iPad pro. I do like the option of sd card and the better screen of tab s7+ but my 2017 tab s3 lags so much now and the battery took a big hit. Can't decide
The Note 10+ remains the best phone Samsung ever made. It was so ahead of it's time when first released, and the longevity of this phone is unmatched with any phone in the market. Almost 4 years later now with HEAVY DUTY daily usage, my phone is still extremely fast with great battery life.
I've had my note 10 plus for around 3 years and just traded it for the z fold 5 , I have time to test it out before making the decision to keep it and send in my note so we shall see how I like it.

I've had my Note 10 Plus 5G since its launch. I pre-ordered it from Verizon. So yes, it does have a 5g option that I paid extra for, which in hind sight was pretty dumb because I've never even used the 5G as it is not readily available unless your in a major city. Upon launch in the USA, Verizon offered 3 versions consisting of the Note 10, the Note 10 Plus, and the Note 10 Plus 5G. After alot of research comparing the Note 20 Ultra with the Note 10 Plus 5G, I have determined that it's not at all worth upgrading, especially when I paid $1400 for my Note 10 plus 5g. The improvements just do not justify an upgrade. It would essentially be trading in a phone to recieve the same phone back. So, with the price of the Note 10 Plus 5G currently going for half of the price of the Note 20 Ultra, you would be paying twice as much just to recieve slightly harder glass that your going to put a case and glass screen protector on anyways. The battery is slightly bigger but not by much which is moot because I've had my Note 10 plus 5G for around 13 months give or take and the battery always lasts all day even with slightly heavy use it and even if I need a quick charge, the 45W Super Fast Charger will charge my phone completely in around 30 minutes. The processor is a little faster in the Note 20 Ultra but not enough to tell a crazy difference. The camera is better on the 20 Ultra but the camera on the Note 10 Plus 5G is fkn amazing and both phones take phenomenal pictures and video, you can't really tell the difference after 4k anyways so it's kinda crazy. Now, the refresh rate is 120hz on the 20 Ultra and only 60hz on the Note 10 Plus 5G, so that is a pretty awesome thing about the Note 20 Ultra but unless your buying it for strictly gaming purposes then again, not alot of difference when watching videos/movie etc.... So, the take away is.... I would definitely go with the Note 10 Plus, whether you go with the 5G version is up to you, The Note 10 Plus and the Note 10 Plus 5G are the same phone and same specs aside from 5G capabilities. The phone is Amazing and your probably going to buy a case and screen protector so the Gorilla Glass 7 vs Gorilla Glass 6 doesn't really matter at the point. Also, both phones run the Same version of Android so there will be no difference at all when actually using the phone. The choice is pretty obvious but I'll leave that up to you.
I was getting 5g from last August here in the UK so I know it works with 5g. I figure he doesn't own a note 10 5g if he did he would have known just grabbing views like everyone else
@@anniekesani1285 I did, read the whole thing. I honestly appreciate when people take the time to discuss details. Because if you don't focus on detail than maybe this phone isn't for you. As many simple minded people use iPhone instead.
@Dakota I agree with everything you have to say. Except that what comes out to me is the 50x camera zoom. The back of the phone looks ugly but the 50x on the camera makes our note 10 plus look outdated. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wrpZh9ShcpA.html
@@EMMANUELIWUOHA. yes. But compare *the best* with * the best*. All he does is NOT taking the best Note 10 series but takes the ultimate Note 20 series. Why?
Great review for those confused & wondering whether to upgrade, @sakitech, which I appreciated. You didn't mention that both phones are available in a 512 GB storage version, and that the Note 10+ is available in a 5G version. Also the extra gestures on the S-Pen on the Note 20 Ultra, speaking of which, do you have any idea whether this will become available as a software upgrade on the Note 10+ ? I loved your review, and am happier now that I missed out on the pre-order specials for which I was feeling miserable. I'm keeping my Note 10+ !
My thoughts too, Mark, about storage and 5G. Although in a year I have never actually run across any 5G service Also, In real life, are you going to use those pen gestures? I think it's cool but I can't see myself waving around while I'm using the pen.
I'm fortunate enough to have 5G in some areas via Telstra in South Australia,@@JerodMatlock, which is why I purchased the Note 10+ 5G. I agree with you about the extra gestures. They seem of minimal usage compared to the gestures that you already get on the Note 10+. The 512 GB storage is great, of course, but in my case no difference between the 10+ & the 20 Ultra, although I'm unclear about whether there's a speed difference through the UFS version, which is another thing that @sakitech didn't mention in his otherwise great review. Wireless DeX on the 20 Ultra is also appealing, though I'm more interested in Miracast for presentations, which the 10+ does anyway. I think that all in all, while I like to trade up every year and have the best of the best, there's not enough difference this year to justify the extra cost.
@The Quiet Kid I tried the S20U and I have the 10+ 5G. Ultra had some serious focus issues with the camera and even appeared blurry in photos. I don't have those issues with the 10+. Not worth a camera change for worse photos. Only advantage Ultra had was at 10X zoom. LOL.
I just upgraded to a Note 10+ from a Note 8, and so far I absolutely love it. The 20 Ultra is awesome, but the 120hz is only at 1080p and a battery hog from what I hear and it's still just not worth the price right now (8 months later). I paid 550 for my Note 10+ brand new from Microsoft and I feel it's worth every dollar of it.
The note 10 + is a much better deal. Now Feb 2022, you can find note ten + for $400 or less on ebay or Craigslist. The 256 gb base storage and 45 watt fast charge are why I'm getting the 10+ as my next every day phone. I'll look for a 512 version and then add a 1tb SD for unbelievable storage capacity
I have a Note10 plus as well and it's awesome!! Could you do me a favor and download the phone information app from the Google play store, and tell me what is your battery capacity? It says my Note10 has 4170mah.
Note 20 Ultra looks just "modern" bcos they made the phones now with this cameras, My Note 10 plus works great. The 20 Ultra looks cool, beautiful, but the system, gb ram and gb storage are still better then a lot newer phoness, cameras are also cool and the phone works awesome.
The funny thing about artists and pen latency.... most digital artists have delays anyways cause they use line smoothing which averages the movement to remove minute jitters, which makes the line lag behind anyways.
I also have the note 10+ and i love it, it makes the most beautiful pictures and 4k videos and i love the luxury design on my note 10+..... there is no need to up-great to note 20 ultra
