The Bixby button actually saved my life when I crack my phone screen rendering it completely unusable. Was making calls and sending texts all throughout the Bixby button for about a month until I was able to fix the screen.
Samsung is taking hardware to another level Google is taking software to another level Iphone is taking price to another level😂😂😂 Edit: omg! Thankyou guys for so many likes
Hey Lew, let the haters hate, but Samsung nailed it this time around. From the UI to the Ultra sonic FPS plus I love the night mode on my s9plus. I really wasn't gonna upgrade but I'm having second thoughts. Way to go Samsung, for myself the s10plus is worth it's weight, yikes!
Hope your battery can last over 2 years. I had a s5 that I only upgraded due to the screen cracking i replaced the battery twice in the 3 years i had it. Around the second year the battery gave up on me. Now I have the s8 and it hasn't worked as good as my old s5, the screen cracked within a year with a case.... and almost 2 years after the battery is dying at a rate of 10% per hour if not faster. I hope the s10 battery can atleast last 2 years without an issue. Because when I first had my s8 the battery would last up to 2 days and a half. Now I'm lucky if I make it thru my whole work shift.
What company right now makes the most advance smartwatch? What company right now dominates the creative market? What company makes beautiful commercials no others can compete? Apple. So shut up.
Oh, forgot to mention. Apple makes the most powerful phones and tablets EVER. Their chips are from a whole new world Qualcomm can only dream of competing.
even if i am a samsung user, lol no bro, samsung does not listen, S8, S9 still no bixby remapping only until now, also that hole in display, no one asked for it.
Kei _ I agree about the camera hole... the iPhone notch doesn’t bother me at all.. (just my opinion) but everyone fucking hates it. Samsung makes a hole in their screen and everybody cool with it
Nah, Apple already ditched to outdated fingerprint scanners... face id’s much easier and will improve even more in the future. Samsung is just upgrading ‘older’ technology cuz their face unlock systems s*ck big time.
@@robindc9391 Samsung literally had facial recognition before iPhones did. By two years. They just know that facial recognition isn't the best or the most secure. This fingerprint scanner is freaking sci fi stuff
Invented this... invented that... Samsung had so many things years ago... remember scrolling when just nodding your head ? But they ditched it cuz they were not able to improve it to a level of where its an ease to use on daily basis. Same for the face unlock... compare every face unlock from Samsung to one from Apple... yep there you go. Fingerprint unlock is nice, but the face unlock technology is still in its early years. As i mentioned before, it will improve in the future. And I surely believe it will reach a point where it’ll almost not noticable when you unlock your phone.
Seriously. Head phones will always be around and i looked up decent quality bluetooth headphones... they are like 3 times as expensive as wired headphones!!!
You can also make it a 0 step unlock by enabling the automatic wake up in settings (not sure what is this setting's name). Basically, when you pick up your phone, it recognizes it and wakes the phone up.
You should, been an iPhone user all my life then my husband convinced me to get a Samsung galaxy 9 plus and I will never turn back to iPhone again and I was a huge hater to android. It's a beautiful high quality software and hardware phone so imagine the s10
Usagi Snow I was a android user for a long time because android phones Cost more less than iPhones then a few months ago I switched to iPhone because a lot of apps you can’t get on Android you can get on iPhones the iOS software you can download whenever you get a pop up update saying you can download the latest iOS update android you can’t update the software unless you buy a android phone with better software or root your android phone seeing this review makes me want to go back to android upgrade to the s10+ or s10 5g this review makes me not care anymore about Android not letting people update the software & you can’t download all the apps iPhone can download
Go ahead and switch, try something new,you might like it. I switched just because of the notch,to be honest. Once the notch goes away I'll happily switch back to iPhone.
Looks like Samsung has been listening to it's consumers and building off all the criticism. Truly an innovative company that loves it's customers and real tech.
A RU-vid Channel with no name they used to but now they really don't update their on the market products that much like the Surface Pros. They really dropped the ball on those when they stopped selling them with the pen and started marketing them as laptops but not including a keyboard. MyChemicalDisasterTo has it right, they jacked up their prices, making you spend almost another $200 ($160+ tax) to make the Surface Pro "laptop replacer" into a laptop and another $100 for the pen, $40 more than the previous pen.
So your telling me that samsung could fit all of this tech inside their smartphone and still have a headphone jack but apple on the other hand says that they don't have room for it.
They're concern more on profit thru iPhone sales than Macbook or iPad or even iPod. Since iPhone will always contribute majority of Apple's profit, they have to rip off the headphone jack and offer the user the Airpods. So they got more money on that.
@@jonmarcmondor for sure, but it's not uncommon for massive RU-vidrs to still stretch poor quality content to 10 minutes. Lew seems like a pretty genuine guy, I think the tech community is pretty good in general.
@@SwastikSwarupDas exactly. I don't dislike Felix either, I just think his content could be improved massively if he didn't focus on getting every video to 10 mins. At this point I don't know why he doesn't focus more on quality over just money.
You got a couple very important things wrong here Lew. 1. You can set up the phone so that you don't need to swipe after face unlock, just like you could since the S8+ 2. You didn't mention that unlike the optical fingerprint scanners, with the S10 you don't actually need to turn on the screen first for the phone to illuminate your finger(which is annoying as hell imo). You just touch the fingerprint sensor and the phone is on. That alone makes it inarguably the fastest in screen scanner because you don't need to press the power button first.
Also: 3. You can change the size of the icons as per your comfort. These "tech experts" praise Oneplus for customization where as you can customize this skin too with different themes, animations, icon sizes. And in support of point no. 1, one can also turn on "raise to wake" screen. Bixby button can be disabled as well even without any software update now.
Now, it's time to say Samsung has done a great job. And the S10E might do some great sales since there's very less compromise. :-) Great Video Lew. Thank You. 😊
I wouldn't say Samsung invented these technology, but they r definitely one of the best if not the best at packing technology into a aesthetically pleasing design. btw, love the new one UI.
*_They implemented the swiping up after being authenticated by the face unlock because in case you just wanted to take a good look at your notification from the lock screen... Believe me it's very annoying if you turn your phone on to look at you notification but it just unlocks immediately and now you have to pick it up and open the notification Bar to see them. I hope it makes sense!!_*
Damn the night mode makes those cameras almost disappear along with the darkened wallpaper for the corner. Plus the night theme gives the added comfort to your eyes reducing eye strain. I call that a win, win and win!
@@catboy3471 Come on don't be that way, i mean you find it everywhere now... Apple users hate android cUz iT haVe PotAto cEmerA *when it actually be better*. No it doesn't. Im just as tired of this as other android users... I don't think there is any point to start being mad at an android user for saying a tiny little joke about apple compared to apple users roasting android users all the fuckin time... Can't find a single meme page on instagram without this bs. Change my mind if you think im wrong...
What the hell are you talking about my dude? My S7 has the exact same "pull the top down for one handed use" so it's been the same for AT LEAST 3 years.
Guys... Don't confuse the features: S7 (and S8, S9...) have a feature where you do the swipe gesture to enable one-handed mode, where the entire screen goes to the bottom and fills the rest with black. What he is talking about is exclusive to One UI, meaning all screen menus, buttons and etc are placed at the bottom of the screen.
5:00 In the section for Facial Recognition in the "Biometrics and Security" settings there is a setting that allows for the facial recognition to start as soon as the phone unlocks, and a separate one that allows for the recognition to take place and immediately take you to the home screen. Obviously, not everyone knows this, but it is a nice feature that Samsung put in their OS
I’m an iphone user. Honestly most of my teenage and adult life I didn’t even look for whatever else was out there. My very first smart phone provided by my dad was an iphone. I just stuck with it. Looking at other options is pretty cool.
@@WingStorm it works for me, go to the search bar and type in either intelligent scan or face recognition . From there yo go to to the settng which says "stay on lock screen" and you uncheck it.
Martin Garcia settings>Biometrics and security> Intelligent scan (enter password and choose the setting you like) If you knew how much time i spent in the settings to find this lol
Kinda sad but the reason i watch these videos about phones is because it makes me feel like i have a good phone. Its not that i cant afford it its just that my parents dont give a shit if i have a good or bad phone as long as i have basic functions, i always see my friends with good phones and i know i wont get that
@@IntroducingWealth stop generalizing Huawei copied Samsung and Apple years ago. Now Samsung and many other companies are copying Huawei because of its success Huawei filed a lawsuit against Samsung for copying some technologies and Huawei won the court! Samsung had to pay a fine to Huawei
Honestly it was pretty bad for a heavy user like me phone doesn't last me even 6hrs so I wouldn't recommend it otherwise no doubt a killer phone, it's just disappointing you wouldn't be able to push your phone to its max performance due to battery constraints
The holes are even worse than a symmetrical notch tbh. This supposed high-end luxury smartphone looks like a riot shield from the back... Also the chin is still there and is not symmetrical again. The software looks childish and not precious as we are used to it by Samsung. Why would anybody pay 1500 euros for this when you can get an iPhone for that price? Samsungs whole success story was based on making affordable good phones, NOT luxury high end smartphones because that segment is dominated by apple! Huawei is the huge winner...
I totally agree to you mate. If that second lens had ultra wide like the Pixel 3 XL, then it would have been a consideration. And to be honest, I think 10E is a bang for the buck in the list for what it offers.
S9's have the new theme/skin as the s10, other than that there's not much difference between the s8 and s9, but still neither are that expensive anyway?
@@blooiefps9304 the average person has a job🤷♂️ where are you looking? Cause I'm seeing s9's for no more than 500 online, s8 no more than 300, not being a dick, just saying Samsung's arn't that expensive for how much phone you actually get, normally cheaper than iPhones when they're both released
For the past ten years I have disliked the fact that flagship phones were crazy over priced. For the first time in ten years, I can say that a flagship phone is 100% worth its price. I still wouldnt buy it, but if you have the spare money, the s 10 will give you for your money something that doesnt exist in cheaper phones, and that you will actually use. My respect to Samsung.
@@hvirus1 Charge sharing. Very useful. Under the screen fingerprint sensor. A shitload of Ram. Good battery. Amazing screen. Some might have one or the other , very few have all of that. But my main focus is especially on the battery sharing. If you know of any phones that have it let me know.
Well TBH you always can reprogram the bixby button with 3rd party apps. Simply, android today is reliable and efficient in customizability and UI. My tip for Apple users, if you can just simply reprogram your brain to believe whatsapp is iMessage ++ and use it. My god you will be amazed of how usefull and powerful Samsung devices are compared to the iPhones, which are simply a restricted waist of good hardware that sadly keeps getting recycled over and over while Apple sits on its accumulated cash that most countries phathom to even have one day.
I love it when people finally take night people/workers into consideration. I always have to put dark themes on. Even with the ui on my tv. It's less eye strain and saves energy
People are still gonna buy apple either because of the hype or because zhey don't orientate in smartphone world and they still think that it is the best
I'm Samsung, but oof y'all got wrecked 😂😂 This is why Apple has lost all their marketshare, most people want Android devices. Apple is just screwing over their customers way too much :/

joker 1 I’m kind of in the same boat. I’ve had a iPhone 6, 6s, 7, 8 plus, X and now Xs Max and the hardware wallet and full screen and fingerprint in the display has me reconsidering my max. One of the features I was most looking forward to on the X was the fingerprint sensor in the display. Face unlock is cool but I’ve noticed I have to kind of be at the right angle to unlock it. Most of the time the angle is just fine but it does happen more often than I’d like and to be honest I’m kind of been burnt out on the lack of innovation from apples camp. Not that Samsung is doing anything way better but they do have my attention now. I used to be all about Android phones, rooting them and adding custom roms and all that good stuff but android always felt like it slowed down incredibly after it started to age just a little bit prompting me to switch to Apple, does android still have that issue where the phone starts to lose its performance the more apps and data that’s added or removed? If not then I would probably consider switching.
@@festivalflightcrew2895 Nope, I have the S8+ still running fast and strong for almost 2 years now with custom rom and kernel, I don't think I need to upgrade yet.
