With the Note 9 receiving One UI and Goodlock 2019, the only advantage the S10 has is the camera setup and fingerprint sensor. However, the spen reigns over all of them.
That fingerprint sensor on the s10 is not as great as people make it out to be. I would have to buy a 50$ screen protector now because they forgot the sensor does not work with normal glass if there is even a nanometer between it and the screen. Sure there are some that work i.e. white stone, but that installation takes 30 minutes, with a high failure rate, or you need one with a hole over the sensor. The one on my note 9 takes 2 minutes to install and costs 5$
@@d.ritzer 🤔 you for sure don't have the s10 and just throwing some random shit here 🤔😂 the s10 comes with preinstalled screen protector fron really good quality with free warranty for 90 days. At some point you have to upgrade to a phone with the same fingerprint scanner what I gone do then 😂😂 you probably will say something else than. Also it isn't the size protector that makes the scanner not work it's the material
Wait for note 11 why upgrade from a 1 year old flagship if its 2 or 3 years old its understandable cause the s11 and note 11 will be very similar in design to the s10 and note 10 but with a more of complete product finish like the s9 series was from the s8 series
@@sulaman4280 I'll argue it depends on what you like and how long you keep it. If you keep your phone until it breaks get on the S7/note7(rip)->s9/note9->s11/note 11 cycle. That's the refined product cycle. If you are on a two year cycle get the s8/S10 note8/note 10 cycle bc that's the one where major features are released. (no doubt Samsung makes a lot of improvements but the most obvious ones are on even cycles and the internal refinement is odd cycle. With the note you really are better off if you like to keep it longer term bc it's more expensive and really the major features come with S line. Esp of late s line is on the bleeding edge of that year. By the time the note comes out you're at the end of the year and too soon to when all the new SOC and features come out. The note 9 is rather outdated standing next to the S10. It's still a great phone. The perfect end to the era of uninterrupted screens. But really standing in front of the S10 with the 855, wifi6, in screen fingerprint reader, on and on. The S10 looks a year old bc it's effectively an s9+ with bigger battery and s Bluetooth spen. If you like writing and have good handwriting or artistic please go note. But if you're like the rest of us you're really just getting note bc if pedigree bc with the advent of the S plus series the note isn't so different. In fact battery life is often better on s plus bc it doesn't accommodate spen.
I only have the s9+ but I am 13 and very blessed to have a phone this expensive I should of got the note 9 I could of but my family got 5 1000dollar phones after vacation. So we spent most of our money
I left the S10 Plus for the Note 9. Feels more premium to me. I'm not waiting on the Note 10, they are doing away with the headphone jack and I much rather have a bezel display than to have a hole punch type cut out for the front camera. It was cool at first but the Note series is what suits me.
A tie in the features? Seriously? The note has the S Pen which is enough to get the win. Most of the differences are neglible. Of course the note 9 is bulkier than S10 but is not bulkier by a serious amount. Also it has to provide housing for the s pen. Screen to body ratio is not a win for S10 because the sacrifice is to have a hole in your screen! Unacceptable. The fact that S10 is lighter by 25 grams can be explained by the extra hardware and the s pen. The aperture of 2.2 for the third front camera in S10 is not so useful. with 1.4 and 2.4 you already have in note you are pretty much covered. Personally i do not care if i can take 30fps at 2160 when i can take at 1440. 4K recording at 30 fps would be the most useful for our 4K tvs. In my opinion the only valid differences are: 1. benchmark - although i am not sure if the extra 20% is noticable in everyday use 2. dynamic amoled. it should be better i suppose than the super amoled but i am not sure how much better. 3. graphics 630 vs 640. But how much is the difference? 10%? is it noticable? Alll in all these differences do not justify the investment of DOUBLE amount of the cost of note 9.
I won't deny that the Samsung Galaxy S10 is a good looking and powerful phone. However, the Galaxy S10 isn't worth replacing my beautiful and powerful Note 9. The Note 9 is my very first Note phone and I'm in love with it. I won't be upgrading this year. I would like to keep hold of my device until the Note 11.
I had the note 9 for almost half year today ive changed to the S10 plus, and the S10+ its noticeably faster, better screen, camera its almost the same, but the GA lense its great, i had the 512GB ceramic one, feel nice, firm, strong and well made as the Note 9, the s10+ ive tried in the store 128GB (glass back) feels noticeably cheaper than the ceramic one, but definitely im going to miss the S Pen !! The video its much better than the note 9s because the stabilization, for me, worth the upgrade, but im sure im going to regret when the note 10 gets released
@@cntrl5465 yup its facts but how about when you go and look at every thing the phones do side by side, and the s10s better? thats fucking facts dude go see for yourself if you want
Jus bought my note 9. Loll. Everything is cool for now. One lose is ghat note 9 dont have zoom out for their camera. I tried my sis s10. The zoom out is something good.but one thing that win is im a solo traveller and the spen camera function is super...
What happened to DEX? Both are Android 9 Pie, Note 9 has an excellent S-Pen, DEX, front facing is f 1.7 (brighter than S10+). Does not annoy looking at the screen due to punch hole (i know you can black out that area & hide it). There aren't much major difference really. And price is a big factor.
S series is for youngsters who search for high spec with a staylish design. Meanwhile Note series is for boss or working people who tends to have a lot of meeting and presentation So stop commenting "note 9 is all way better than s10+" " s10+ dont worth my money" Because this is samsung marketing way, and it is AWESOME.
In my humble opinion the note 9 is still a better overall device because of the S-pen and Iris scanner and no cut out in the display. I also like a heavery device. Note 9 all day
The Note9 wins half the points, but definitely isn't half the phone the s10+ is. Honestly, from having an s10e and a Note9, the only thing I wish the Note had was a wide angle camera. Every other bonus the s10 series got is really just a small bonus.
The S series and Note series are two different breeds. You can't just compare directly. The Note phones are business oriented and are a little low on specs due to the space sacrifice for the S Pen but it is worth it. A whole new world opens up if you can fully utilise the S Pen. It is not for everyone. Don't always go with the numbers.. Even if the spec numbers are a little low compared to their 'S'siblings, they are not at all outdated and the Note series phones sure are some of the best phones Samsung has offered so far. As far as I'm concerned the Note series is the most utility oriented lineup compared to any other of it's Samsung siblings or any of it's rivals after all that's what smart phones are supposed to do right. I can say without any hesitation that utility oriented phones are more POWERFUL than just looks oriented or high spec'ed phones who just don't do what a "smart phone" is supposed to do. I hope Note 10 gets an in display finger print sensor and also a head phone jack;).. that's all I'm looking for in Note 10 coz the specs of Note 9 aren't really bad.. I can use it for many years to come without any problem. Only true NOTE fans can understand what I said.
The only difference left is the S-Pen. Wasn't mentioned in the video. It all depends if you will use it. If you do, go for the Note 9 or wait for the 10. If not, go for the S10 Plus.
@@DestroyCode I think both apple and Samsung have pretty much ended the battery explosion thing. And nothing is perfect. That's just how I talk. I'm probably about 20 years younger than you so there will be that generational disconnect. Have a nice day.
You forgot the most important thing : the assholes on the S10+ screen versus the Note 9 completely clean screen. This is 0 points for S10+ and 3487 points for Note 9. The visual screen satisfaction is on a scale from 0 ( zero ) points to 3500 points.
There is a correction while you are comparing Note 9 Longer and wider = 2 points! the s10 has a punch hole which looks like a black hole -1 point and you didn't give the point to the Note for the Pen!
Some of the info in this video is wrong anyway both have android 9.0 and the 10+ has a 1tb version but the video says the 512 is the biggest. Expandable memory is wrong to the 10 plus 128gb and the 512 GB can have a 1tb memory card put in it.
S pen really takes smart phone exploration to a new expedition ..I can navigate through the screen with minimal hand gestures, click back to and scroll all without using my fingers. N10 will have the power of s10+ & S pen, Can't wait for the beast this fall!
If you dont need a pen of course s10 wins. If you do need it then note 9 is better suited for you obviously. S10 is better on paper but lets be honest here. In actual real life performance there wont be noticeable differences anyway. Were all just being attracted by bigger numbers in the specs sheets. Another advice. Dont get a note if youre not into sketching stuff.
How much do you want to bet Metro put a lid on this dude? Back in the day this was the absolute best Channel to see stuff that was coming out way in advance. He would leak phones that weren't set to come out for another 2 to 4 months, it's already March and from what I gather Metro has no new phones coming out for 2019 so far because he hasn't mentioned shit. All he cares about are these stupid kind of videos with that terrible music in the background
Dear you cannot compare two devices having two different launche dates... note 9 was launched in August 2018 while as S10+ in March 2019. Obviously the laltest model would be having good features.... but still Note 9 is the winner and is way better than S10+ no matter it got only 7 Greens.
I donned a Note 9 512G till recently I lost it(otherwise I would not be even watching any comparison videos) . I'm now thinking of getting another note 9 but I am swayed towards the S10+. Unfortunately the S10+ does by fine margins beat the note. But only just. I will probably get the S10+ but only as a journey phone till the Note 10 comes out in next few months. Also the resale value of the S10 + will be better than the note 9 when it comes to upgrading for the note 10.
