The V50 may have a two-year-old SD 855 chipset, but that chipset is still relevant in 2021. Even the Desktop Mode works well despite not looking mature enough. But the real reason why I pick the V50 is because of the optional DualScreen case, 3.5mm audio jack with Quad DAC, microSD card slot, and front ultrawide camera. An easy no brainer for me right there.

Still go for the LG V50 speed difference is only marginal and the camera is probably a bit better on the s21 but the difference is not that great also no SD card or headphone jack plus with the v50 you get that extra dual screen and DEX like desktop that I found very useful when multitasking or gaming so yea still LG V50 all the way

Maybe I'm just a hipster but I've always been partial to LG devices. I've owned the V30, V40, G8X, G8S and will soon be buying the V50. There are no current phones that really appeal to me right now and I will use the V50 as a stopgap until something tasty comes along.

Main differences: software skin, updates, high refresh rate display. The S21 is $699 now, even free with a trade in of a S9 or newer on TMobile and some other carrier deals. But if you only buy unlocked I'm not sure it's worth the extra $400 over the V50.

I YAAAM ABOUT TO RETURN MY S21 it's crazy how the display looks so pixelated on the s21, and prior ive been using a g7 for reference. I prefer my g7 display but the speed on the s21 is awesome tho

Funny as it is, I would choose V50. Reasons: headphone jack with DAC, micro SD slot, PRICE, dual screen support, glass at the back (gives a more premium feeling). Samsung removed ALL the features that I like and tries to charge premium for their phones.

@@pkboss8324 I was thinking about it but it has the exact same internals as the LG G8. And there is not a factory unlocked version of the V50. There is a Sprint version which runs updates through Sprint/Tmobile. I'm skeptical of the updates.

As much as I like LG devices, buying the V50 to me just seems sort of like a bad buy given their software support and the fact that eventually Sprint LTE will probably be phased out when customers go to T-mobile

I love LG so sad they are leaving the phone biz. I can not be without the headphone jack and audiophile dac built in saves me money as I would have to buy external hardware to get the same quality or better. I got a message to day from tmobile saying I would need to upgrade before Jan or I would lose service on my lg v50.... Anyone else gotten that message? If that is true is any one on another network and can confirm service? Mine is unlocked so should be good on others.

I'd choose the v60 instead of both of these. The 865 is still a beast to run everything flawlessly. The 5000mah battery just seals the deal for me

I just received the V60 from LG's Second Year Promise because they didn't have the G8 in stock. Still trying to get used to the size. It's huge! However it makes for an incredible Android Auto device! I thought that the G8 was the perfect size, and the V50 is quite liveable. I wish that the V60 was the same size as the V50. It's a shame that you can't get a flagship today with a 3.5mm jack. Samsung really dropped the ball on the S21...no 3.5mm and no expandable storage.

@@edhardn Bastante buena la cámara, al mismo nivel que ese Samsung y mejor que el mismo en grabación de vídeo Entre esos dos modelos no sé porque escogerías el S10e :(( su batería es mala unas 5:30 de pantalla mas o menos El LG V50 me da hasta 8 horas (el brillo al 30-40% mayormente) Graba mejor que muchos otros celulares eso si!
