You can do reset in the phone using the settings, don't do hard reset bacause your phone will be locked.

I can get into my phone and I want to remove the password for the lock screen. I cannot remember the pin code. How can I reset that pin code so I can access the lock screen window?

If u dont remember the email address or password adsociated with the phone youve had it bro

If you do hard reset with gooigle account, you can't open your phone anymore even you know your Google account, there's a procedure of unlocking the phone with Google account not remove before doing hard reset.

It has to be plugged into the laptop i think its a security measure incase the phone is a stolen device for example if a thif grabs the phone from your hand & runs off he wouldny be able to reset it straight away because chances are he doesnt have a loptop with him ,Now you onnthe orher hand could get internet access somewhere like a internet cafe & log into findmymobile.com and track & trace your stolen phone before the thief geta the chance to reset the phone

It should take u into the stock recovery mode when done correctly

of course its going to ask u for your google account details its a security measure bro just log in using the google account that u 1st used when setting up the phone when u took it out the box

@@TheRealAndroidDoctor once you locked your phone by doing hard reset you can't open anymore even you know you Gmail account, all you have to do is to delete the Gmail account that you had been log in before, ang create new Google account. But it's very hard if you have not doing this before.
