One of the best reviews I’ve seen yet! E, you had me in the first minute. Long time iPhone user, always intrigued with Samsung but never fully making the jump because … everything around me, at home, in my car, on my wrist, in my ears…. is set up for my iPhone / iPad. Great quality of video and who knows, I may make that jump to the S23U 😉
Two weeks ago I had iPhone 12 pro. Sold it and bought S23 Ultra. Im all in Apple ecosystem... watch, macbook, magsafe chargers etc... Then after 4 days i got pretty good offer for it and sold it. Bought 14 pro Max 512 gb version in black. The iPhone is great and yes there is a big upgrade from my 12 pro BUT.... except the 120Hz great display i see it boring again like my 12 pro... Thinking of selling the 14 pro and buy the S 23 Ultra AGAIN. The hard thing is this ecosystem escape ... And I have to buy Samsung watch because im pretty used to wearing my apple watch all the time and receiving notifications... Im using everyday that instant synchronization between my Macbook pro and iPhone. OMG Im pretty stuck in this ecosystem. Everything is working flawlessly but I want to try after all this years of using Apple products something else.... Hope you understand me :D Cheers !
@@ThisIsE Cool, I wish you tried a Pixel too for the sweet, smooth and pure Android experience. Samsung's is quite bloated and inconsistent imo. Maybe the Pixel 8 series when it arrives?
@@thisisayushpandey Well with my experience with the S23 Ultra Samsung software feels a lot smoother then Pixel which stills feel like in a senior in high school to me at least lol.
@@thisisayushpandey Nah, I tried stock Android, Android One, and Pixel btw, Pixel is not stock and pure, common misconception. Pixel and stock is incomplete, misses a lot of things One UI offers.
Didn't see this coming! Brilliant review, great to see someone focusing on aspects different to the plain specs. It's amazing how good the battery life is (it is similarly good on the plain S23). If only the charging speed was a little quicker... 😑
@@ThisIsE the basic S23 it is, and it will be only while I complete the review. Somehow I never got used to Samsung's "flavor" of Android, despite the fact a Samsung phone was my first smartphone. Looks like I do use almost the same car as yours, though 🙂Nice color!
I got the Note 9 and pre-ordered this (same version - black, 512/12), the jump for me will be big, looking forward to that 120hz display. There might not be too many changes since the S22U, but for someone like me who hasn't upgraded in 4+ years, this is a huge improvement.
@@Lee-dr2im well, I waited for a phone with no hole-punch camera, microSD slot and a 3.5mm jack, but instead of adding on these features, they are removing them, so I decided to jump ship on the new S23U. Hopefully that Qualcomm will be a nice piece of tech :)
Great video! I just did the same thing and switched to the 23U from my 14 Pro. I am in the Apple ecosystem since 2012 and I just felt boring with it by now... It is something new even if I tried the S22U and the Fold 4 too.
@@ThisIsE What I miss the most is Apple Pay and I have to carry an iPhone for my Watch but the Android system is shockingly good at least for now. I spent a little more then a week with it so there is a lot to come, but so far so good!
@@JHSaxa They are not working with my banks in Hungary... I have to use Revolut all the time and add balance etc.. If it would work natively then one more concern would be out of the picture. :D
Last samsung I had was s7. I switched to iphone 11 pro and i have it for 3-4 years. Now im going back to samsung bc i got bored with apple. Same thing over and over. Samsung really improved by a ton since then
Probably the best tech RU-vidr right now. Way of filming, providing information, diction, everything is top level! Admirations! Keep it up and I wish you a million subscribers soon!
This phone is so good. The night time video is truly remarkable. Did a side by side with my snapdragon s21 ultra and the difference in quality is like 4x better. It's outstanding.
Samsung knows how to keep consistent with this device the battery life is amazing the S pen is great to have for editing or note taking and the screen size is just perfect for everyday use. this is one device i would carry with me every single day alongside my iPhone. great review/ Day in the life bro
As a newbie coming to flagship world, what would you suggest which is better for me. I have been using andriod eco system since many years, i once used iphone 5c. But as of now, I'm really struggling to which phone to opt sir. If you could help me, where should i go, iphone 14 pro max or Samsung s23 ultra?
How is the color? More yellowish or more on the white side? And what about frames of the phone? Do they look gold-ish? Thanks! I’m always on black phones and thinking about some change in my life :)
This is a well-done review. You focussed on the day-to-day while giving details on the unique features. This phone is a great offering, one won't be disappointed.
E you know you can swipe from either corner to go back right? You don't have to press the back button on the top like on iPhone. Also, Gboard. Samsung and Apple keyboard suck
Hey, bro. You said you couldn't use the wireless charging pad with the s23 ultra because of the size. Wouldn't it fit without the charging cable. This is because I have the peugeot 5008 and have always charged my S22 Ultra on the pad. Great vid by the way
You make any video with any topic fun to watch even if it’s not related to Apple! So why did you get this phone? I wonder if you would switch from iPhone to Samsung primarily? (I just bought iPhone 14 pro max and this video made me think twice)
Nice video man but one tip with android, the back is a universal gesture where you swipe from the right edge of the screen to the left. Makes the gestures super easy, I really miss that on iPhone 👍
YOU CAN PRESS "BACK" with swiping inwards from any edge of the screen 🤣 You dont have to find the back button on the ui everytime my friend please how do you not know this
Thanks sir always amaze us with your astonishing content, i got mine in green with 512 gb ( i pay it the 256 gb price) and got a lot of e-voucher. I hope u makes about your android set up, thanks
I have an iPhone 12 with an Apple ID would all my texts, contacts and all data transfer over when using the smart switch ? Also would you recommend the s23 ultra over the iPhone 14 Pro Max ?
@@ThisIsE omggggggggggg, I thought that u had a least 3 editors. You have my respect. I just started my RU-vid, so now I know how much work and how long it take to create a video. Hope to one day get a least a fraction of how good your editing is.
I really really enjoyed this video. The presentation was very well done covering some aspects of the phone that people really doesn't talk about. Just join the group
It will be appreciated if you make a video on Android home screen setup like you made for iphone !!! And some custom widgets too like iphone for android
You have to physically touch the device to silence the alarm??? I say "stop" to my Pixel 7 Pro and the alarm, stops. Cheaper, smarter, better software and arguably better cameras 🤷🏻♂️
For someone like me that had not changed phone since last 5 years ago this s23 ultra are really huge improvement. Btw Am done subscribe your channel and watching this review with my new s23 ultra with ram 12G and memory 1TB 😅 and actually i just found your channel, this is great review.. Nicely done😂🎉🎉and for my new s23 ultra which alsoni picked in black color, well it feels great after use this about 4day😅
There are magsafe cases for the s23 :) and there are gesture controls, I have a diagonal down swipe from the left to bring up the 3 nav buttons incase I need them
Came here after your shorts on the Pitaka case for the S23U grabbed my attention. Some quality content you seem to have here. I'm impressed! You've earned my subscription kind sir.
I don't understand how face ID is convenient to unlock a phone... You need to sit straight and keep the phone at the right distance for it to work. It's very good for stopping the morning alarms though.
I agree with you this Samsung keyboard is lackluster. You definitely have to put Gboard on it. Anytime I get a new phone that's the first thing I do. Although I have been a long time Samsung user I'm much happier with Google assistant as well as Gboard. One thing you didn't mention was the s23 has a beautiful screen compared to that big fat ugly rounded notch they laughingly call the dynamic Island. It's such an eyesore
As someone who switched from the Note20U to iPhone 14 Pro Max, I love these comparison videos which argue that Samsung's most recent flagship finally trumps the iPhone on all fronts, except ecosystem; I think we can all agree that Apple's still king there. In any case, it's clear (to me anyway) that Apple has lagged behind in terms of innovation. I'm ok with that since their ecosystem and devices provide me everything that as a regular consumer I need, without quirks and headaches on the Android side of things (i.e. updates and support). My last iPhone was the 7 Plus so the 14 Pro Max is a delight for someone to use. However, I can imagine (because I remember) how frustrating it is for tech types to pick up a new phone that pretty much looks and works the same as their retired devices. No incentive to upgrade there. Still, if you think about it, eco-wise, boring may be more beneficial. At the end of the day, to conclude, I welcome the competition since Apple postures itself as a tad too comfortable.
Евала . Много добре структурирано ревю . Няма излишни глупости , всичко е top notch ! . Keep up the good work ! Някога мислел ли си да започнеш втори канал на български ?
Good review man, really impressive. I enjoyed that so much. A day in the life type videos always give you a more realistic impression I feel so thank you for this
When using the bar/gestures instead of the normal navigation buttons. Swiping from either edge of the screen becomes your back button. So your back button is wherever your finger happens to be
@@ThisIsE you can just swipe from either side to go back if you enable swipe gestures on Android... If you've ever used one for longer than 5 minutes you'd know that
Went from 13 Pro Max to S23U. Minor things I dislike. Curved screen. And too pointy corners that kind of dig into my palm. I wish they'd make the S23 plus the same as the ultra without the pen. Would've got that instead.
Torras has a good Magsafe case for the S23 Ultra too. What I'm using. As for going back, there's a universal back gesture in Android done by swiping in from the edges. It works on both sides.
