Tell me about the camera's Does the phone overexpose everything ? Yes or no ?

@Andrew Lines JAH cameras to me are really good. I didn't notice no overexposed pics on my end.

@Andrew Lines JAH I was taking pics of my daughter yesterday point and shoot and pics came out fine. That's with wind and her hair all over the place. Tested the 200 mp 50 mp and just a normal shot and all came out fine. The videos are crispy and clean to me.

I'm in a similar position i think. I loved taking pictures on my Huawei phones back then. Aside from that i was using Fuji cameras. I switched to S22 from my P30 but was never happy with the pictures. I tried the Vivo X80 Pro, the pictures were amazing, especially raw files had incredible detail. Unfortunately it had GPS issues and the 5x zoom was barely usable. So I'm leaning towards the xiaomi 13 pro, but the price...it's more expensive than the s23 ultra and really the only thing better is the camera. For like 1000 euros i wouldn't even think about it and just get the xiaomi. Soon Honor Magic 5 Pro will be available and Oppo Find x6 should be announced in a week. Maybe it's a good idea to wait and see. Btw. I also tested the Pixel 7 Pro, can't beat the price really. It's 700-800 eur. The cameras are pretty good and reliable, especially the focus. Downside is that it has almost zero control. So not really for photographers.

Glad it's not just me who sees the oversharpening on Samsung photos. The S23Ultra is an improvement over the S22U, but the sharpening needs to be further reduced if the photos are to have that natural look. Artificial digital sharpness still continues to be a problem with Samsung image processing. It's by design and I just wish they'd stop doing it.

@@nipunsharma5351 agreed. I dont get the point of having a 200mp sensor if theyre going to crank up the sharpness to the max.

Same, I came from a Note 9 and did similar comparisons indoors, coming to the conclusion the Note9 made better quality images in real terms, as well as more pleasing to look at. Some of the 'party tricks' are fun on the s23, but as always I'll stick with a real camera over a smart phone when it matters. AI shmay-eye

Now that they have a phone with only the one chip, fixing any problems will be easier. Camera wise, they will really be able to fine tune everything twice as efficiently.

Interesting. Yeah, something about the footage here by Joshua makes the videos look jittery. Is it just me?

@@NewToneProducer Cause he's recording in 8k24fps likely. 8k 30fps is better. 8k is not something you want to use for movement, only minimal. It's quality is fantastic, deff if you use pro mode and turn off the bit rate cap. 4k ultra 60 is the best. I'm confident he was using pro mode however in this one, as the lighting on the sides of the buildings remained constant, and didn't change. I prefer to do my video like this as well, because it is consistent with no banding, or mass changes in quality. but the 4k 60 is what I'd recommend for general use. 8k has it's place tho.

Did you get it from the actual Samsung store? Or did you buy it for a 3rd party source like Amazon? Anyway check your camera settings and make sure to turn off scene optimizer and make sure to raise your camera settings all the way up

@@neilmcguinness4422 such a clever reply. I was talking about the lack of saturation and dynamic range. I think we've seen better even on previous Samsung phones.

@@otogiokami Good mature balanced comeback to my friendly jibe @mobilegaming dude..👍 I must say that I for one appreciate the natural look of colours on my new S23 Ultra over the more saturated look of colours on my old S21 Ultra and I know many people will share my opinion. I genuinely respect your opinion as many people will echo your feelings. Sure you can add extra saturation in the new very comprehensive video editor on the 23U if it isn't your thing , as I have experimented with this myself for both extra saturation and exposure, and it gives quality results. I have been taking many pictures and videos on my phone for 4 days now and already I feel uncomfortable going back to the more saturated slightly over-processed (sometimes) looking pics and videos shot on my S21U. Many phones image and video style and saturation can appear a little alien at first, but not normally with a Samsung to Samsung upgrade as they have traditionally gone for high saturation as you rightly say. I for one like the new direction and applaud them for it. 👍

@@otogiokami Also dynamic range is only fully controlled on the S23U in my opinion when you add the camera assistant section to your camera settings after (bizarrely) downloading it from the Galaxy Store. It does need a little fine tuning to me also even when you gain full control over it.
