This is a comparison between the LG V60 ThinQ and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Today, we will go over the spec's and photos taken side by side on both devices. #samsung #lg #lgv60 #galaxys23ultra #specs #comparison #android #review
Keep in mind that this is a 2020 vs 2023 phone. Most of the things we have in 2023 are not available yet in 2020. But nevertheless, LG was truly ahead of its time.
@@gabrielooss Precisely. People didn't give af about quality or features. They only wanted the brand name, because it's cool. I despise these people so much, it' shard to describe.
The V60 is great. I switched to one three weeks ago from a Galaxy S9. It's a lot bigger and heavier but it feels good with a thin clear case. I had to cut away a little of the case material around the headphone jack so my headphones plug would seat completely. The cameras work well, the battery is giving me about 8.5 hours of SOT, and the phone does feel like it's built like a tank. I got mine used for about $140. I highly recommend it.
Hey. I bought a new Samsung A14 had it for few months . My sister was about to buy my mom a new phone I ended selling my Samsung. Bought a LG v60 problem was the SIM tray was broken I fixed the SIM tray it's all good. Mine has 256GB the battery is amazing 😍. I also had to cut the punch hole for the earphones... honestly I paid half the price for my LG v60 than the Samsung and wow I was sleeping on LG
Anyone having charging port issues should look into magnetic charging cables. I currently have a tcl 10l plagued by the same issues, the magnetic nub just stays in the charging port. The cables themselves can be spotty and tend to degrade faster than a regular cable, however replacing cables is a lot better than replacing the port or using wireless charging all the time. I'm making the jump to the v60 shortly since it has android 13.
i want original lg v60 phone But nowadays that can be bought only products that have been repaired to make them look like new. If you want a model v60 unboxing 1 or 2 hands from the factory Where can I buy it? give me some advice
The LG has worse contrast and the colors were a little more natural where the S23 had better contrast and the colors were a little more vibrant. The LG took longer to adjust to a brightly lit environment than the S23. LG photos are a bit dimmer which I think led them to have better photos in lower light scenarios than the S23, but the S23 photos look a bit better in more brightly lit scenarios. I personally prefer the LG for the more natural colors I just recently got one and I'm loving it. Sucks they left the phone market one of the few brands not only to keep the headphone jack, but have a quad dac for it as well one of the main reasons I love their phones.
The v60 has a video enhancer built in. You can turn it off in the settings menu and colors will look more natural. Also a few patches ago they include a brightness boost. It's in the settings menu. It's labeled "extra brightness" in the display settings. Make sure it's toggled on.
Considering the price ($200 or less used) of the V60 in 2024 to the specs that it can offer, definitely it is a good steal. Average consumer will love it and may not notice the fee upgrades you get in the current year’s flagship. But if you want the latest and greatest, and you have all the money in the world, just buy S24 ultra.
I would assume so. I've had a Classy White and Classy Blue TMobile Variants and both had issues. On TMobile, only the blue one came with the dual screen case.
Mine still works perfectly. Although I've always been careful about the USBC cables I use. I used the LG cable I got with the phone and all replacement ones have been Anker.
Imagine how good an lg phone would be in 2023... I truly thought they had a solid fan base to keep producing phones but i guess they decided otherwise. I own 2 of their tv's which are excellent so i cant complain too much.
I ended up going for the LG V60 in 2023 because it has a wider aspect ratio at 2460x1080 (2.27) vs the S23 Ultra at 3088x1440 (2.14), meaning you can see more on the screen at once. For my spreadsheet work, a larger aspect ratio means I see more at one time. I got mines at $150, and given what the V60 can do, versus the pricepoint of the S23 Ultra at around $1000, and the lack of mmWave in my area, I feel like I made a good decision, given what I cared for. I can get the S23 Ultra 2+ years later (assuming the V60) and I think I will be okay LIke, does anyone here always go out to buy the newest car? Or do they realize they can save over 50% and settle for an older model that still achieves over 90% of what they're looking for? We're not made of money.
I always thought the far battle is V60 with the dual screen case vs whatever flagship.. especially when it comes to the Ultra cuz guess what the 🖊️.. so the V60 dual screen case is equivalent to the ultra pen... Just saying 🤗😉 Oh you can also use active style pen like the Ultra. Which they never advertise.. I the LG has a better pro modes too.. also you can record live to RU-vid straight from your phone.. I remember the LG G8 was the first to have the RU-vid live.. You got night mode setting to I believe. I about get the lg V60 again with the dual screen
I must say that my LG V60 (now backup phone) has much better battery life than the S22 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max that I use daily. Speakers are better and I love the heft of it too. The only thing I do not like about the V60 is the tear drop notch. RIP LG!
Hi. Watching from South Africa on My recently purchased V60 256GB , in my country is Samsung and iphone so people keep asking me what phone is this a good few dont understand what a powerful phone this is. The battery life shocked me 😮iv never owned a phone with a better battery as the V60
I fixed my LGV60 charge port issues with Radio Shack Tuner Cleaner. I sprayed it into the female USBC ports and the male USBC ports on my dual screens and all my problems went away... Even the green screen of death stopped on both my dual screens ( I bought a second one when I thought it was the screen when it's the ports). USBC PROBLEM SOLVED! It's like brand new now!
Thanks again for the great content. I traded my LG V60 W/Duel Screen and my Stylus for a New unopened pixel 7 8G 256GB variant the week that the pixel 7 was released a deal that I couldn't pass up. So about 2 weeks ago I decided to purchase another V60 because I really missed it but let me tell you I didn't realize how much I missed it until I had it back in my hands. And yes I'll be keeping this V60 in my arsenal. That Samsung S23 looks nice especially with the Gen 2 chipset. On a side note I have the T-Mobile V60 variant and it's running Android 13 really smoothly I love it!!!!
I want the original version of this phone. But nowadays that can be bought only products that have been repaired to make them look like new. If you want the 1st or 2nd hand box model from the factory Where can I buy it? give me some advice
@@SICERIKTECH It's great. I bought the lg v60 att model even though the software couldn't be updated. But it runs very well on Android 10. It's as smooth and fast as any modern smartphone today. With the camera, sound system and battery I can use it for 3 days. It's really awesome. I
If only lg had good looking and good quality display like 1440 p they would be the strongest competitor of Samsung. But there devices looked outdated outside. But years ahead inside. They should not left the business they just needed to adjust few things 😢
Nice video. It's quite astonishing that the difference between these devices isn't wide but that of changing times, which is normal with technology. However, the V60 is a great device for holding on till this time, especially given the fact that it took three years of tech tweaking for Samsung to get it right with its Galaxy series, the S23U.
V60 owner here. I'm totally happy with the phone. However, I think it's fair to say that the S23 has better image quality in most but not all shots. The S23 colors pop more but the question is, are they more accurate reproduction compared to the V60. I would prefer an accurate color reproduction and enhance the colors to my liking rather than having to soften every shot. Either way, the V60 is still a far better value, and that makes it the winner in my mind. Great video! You're still bringing the heat!
Have you tried the 64MP Photo size setting? You get 9248x6936 resolution with it. I just tried it and I was surprised by the greater quality you get with it over the 16MP setting. You have to set it to 64MP again every time you want to use it though.
My LG V60 is always faster on wifi and 5g than my s22 ultra. Doesn't matter what im doing. Especially 5g is quite a bit faster. Alot of review sites agreed with my findings and most of them declared fastest modems of the year and strongest reception.
I have both phones currently. S23U is my main driver and V60 i use mostly for work. For the most part the S23U wins at most of the features except for headphone jack, expandable storage and Quad Dac. But i love the dual screen if you buy it for multitasking and movie watching and video content. Either way you cant go wrong with either phone. All im waiting for is Android 13 for V60 since i have Verizon varient.
If you put the v sexy against the s twenty ultra, everybody said the s twenty ultra was king , was better, it was bs lg enter Sammy's hole with this one but that s 20 ultra shit was buggy so bug ridden with lags galore...the v 60 let it flop out and made sammy wine as it slides in ... Samsung hole was taken in many ways. Lgs built better performs better and it was cheaper..a real sleeper an ultra reaper .LG was the best hands down...the v series was pure innovation..haters will hate but The life's good video sixty tin q five g Is a real mouth full and I am a real throat full full..lmao...velvet is good looking but it's no V...only lg phones I owned were v series... Z40 came out. It made my buddies who had Galaxy's jealous when they saw that beautiful quad. HD display at feather light phone 5 cameras. Manual camera modes the whole surbang. Lg really made other phones seem inferior and the unnatural colors of samsung photos , Is fantasy naturality l Gs true life? When it comes to their display technology It may not have the best specs but it looks the best specs but Find a four year old phone that's the smooth
Did the android 13 update made the v60 camera better? Or can I stick with the android 12. In our market android 13 v60's aren't available and I am planning to get one.
If I had a V60 with better camera zoom, 6000 MH battery and a better qualify charge port I would never want anything else.. Well, security updates....that's why I had to quit on mine.
So sad LG is out of the cell phone game. I've owned the LG G3 , LG G4 , LG V20 , LG V60 , LG VU all had something none of the other phone makers had The OG LG VU had live over the air TV from NBC, CBS, ABC , FOX etc. It was basically a tiny TV with rabbit ears.
I just picked mine up from Amazon Refurbished $200.00 and mine was flawless best $200.00 I could have spent make sure it's the T-Mobile Variant unlocked.
@@SICERIKTECHI thought Swappa was a good place to get used phones. TL;DR they won't protect you if a seller is screwing you over. I bought an S21 that had intermittent slowdowns, stalls, and shutdowns. It didn't happen right away, I messed with the phone for about a week before deciding to tell the seller. Seller agreed to take it back and repair or replace. I ship it back (at my own expense), and the next thing I know the seller tells me they're shipping it back to me. I asked what the issue was, they said it passed all their tests, there was nothing wrong with it, it just needed updated software (not that it matters, but I already updated the software, then I factory reset it to ship it back). So they weren't able to reproduce the issue, made no significant effort to do so, made no significant effort to repair anything, and then shipped it back. So I refused delivery and demanded a refund. They initially refuse, then insist I cover PayPal fees for the transaction. I'm already out shipping costs, plus I had to deal with a buggy phone, plus all the set up time for the phone. And I'm either supposed to accept a non-repair, or be out a significant chunk of time and money with nothing to show for it. I keep bringing in Swappa to this whole ordeal, and they adamantly refuse to get involved. I contacted their support over e-mail to escalate, and the response was not only unhelpful, but also snarky. Like at one point I was chided for trusting a purchase over the Internet. By someone working for a company that is supposed to build trust around those transactions. What the actual fuck. Anyways, Backmarket is pretty great!
Charging issues? My V60 is still going strong since 2019, and it's still outlast coworkers phones when it comes to holding a charge. Moderate use 2 days, compared to them charging every day or even less. So I'm very Happy with my V60.
Hi I need a suggestion. I want a second phone for gaming and watch video etc. camera is not my priority. Between lg v60 and Redmi k60e which one will your recommendation? Your reply will help me a lot
I'm not familiar with the Redmi, but I will tell you that the V60 is great. It will handle games very well with a old Flagship processor. It also have great speakers plus high quality headphone jack. Despite only being 1080p 60hz the display is really good 👍
I'm late on this one here. Awesome video, Erik!! Where can I find that awesome Transformers wallpaper app? Thanks for the always awesome and informative content!!
As a lover of custom roms LG really disappointed me. I'm now a Xiaomi exclusive simply because of this reason but was an LG fan since the G2 days. Why the hell did they decide to lock bootloaders????
"That", is pronounced "that", not "dat". It's so hard to follow a presentation when a speaker has poor speaking grammar! Appreciate your effort, though!
