Probably. Text message, social media and online apps are the way to go.. don't really need a phone to actually talk to people but good the option is still there😄
I agree, and they should also test signal quality. There are so many reports of the s22 ultra having bad reception, and this was never covered in reviews.
I'm swapping to the Galaxy S24 Plus after being an iPhone user since 2008. I'm almost giddy with excitement about it. My main reason for not swapping for a long time was just comfort in familiarity. In recent years though, I've started to code more as well as getting into more indie gaming. I haven't been able to use any of that stuff on iOS, so that's been my main drive to make a change. Really going over the S24's specs though, I'm even more excited for the move. These videos about this device are getting me so hyped haha.
Good honest review, upgrading my S22 Ultra to the S24 Plus after this, hardly using the S-pen now so it makes sense and you have also diminished any fears I had in connection with the camera.
same for me, upgrading from the S22ultra, i hardly ever use the S pen.. plus i like the look of the S24 plus over the ultra, which prett much as the exact same design
We chose 2 S24+ phones, upgrading from Pixel 6 Pros. Soooooo tired of "feature drops" that break important parts of it only to "fix" the following month. AND NO MORE WATERFALL DISPLAY. I have ZERO desire for an S Pen or squared corners, so hopefully this phone hits my sweet spot. I'm a recovering LG guy who still hasn't found a happy place. Yet. Good content. Just what I was looking for!
I had Samsung in the past forget which model then on to the iPhone. I currently have a 6pro and I'm tired of the battery dying so fast. I'm about to move to the 24+ and hope it's better. Good luck with your new upgrade.
Feature drops of Pixel phones are just features they copied from One UI anyway lol. Whenever they announce something, I'm always "they didn't have that?"
I was very curious about the s24P vs the other two. Because I usually skip their reviews thinking that the are lacking. But I must say I am very impressed with the s24P. I think I may go with the s24P this year! So happy I found your channel because it digs things others are afraid to take on. Thank you so much 👑
Unfortunately it goes with Exynos here in Australia which sucks. I was gonna go for this coz my s22 ultra is still performing like the day I bought it. But I ended up getting the S24U am🤦
I couldn't resist the titanium and flat display, so I went with the big boy. This will be my 3rd Ultra, so I'm used to them. Having said that, I nearly went with the S24+ because of the QHD 1440p panel.
@@robmalcolm8042why do you care what a phone looks like anyway If you're putting a good protective phone case on it, you're not gonna see it anyway Is it a phone or a conversation piece ? Lol who fkexes what their phone lolks like to strangers or your SO or friends or at work No one gaf what someone's phone looks like 😂 or pays any Attention to it That's weird It's not a car. That's like flexing how your auxiliary power bank looks Who gaf 😅
I wanted this comment plz help! I'm getting a phone hopefully and I can't decide between iphone 15pro or the s24 plus Would u plz tell me why u made the change?
Probably the most honest review so far about this S24 series. At first I was really into the plus, but the raid if reviews praising the Ultra made me question on how better the + was. I think you settled it.
Nice video mate. I got S24+ too yesterday and it's great. I have only one concern - is your power button a little wobbly and not as clicky as volume buttons?
Got My S24+ today after 10 long years with iPhone. The display at QHUD is amazing and the camera is great too. I got the Pixel 8 but I didn't like it but this S24+ will be my phone from now on. Only issue is the phone is does not feel as premium as a iPhone. Watching from Somalia.
The s24+ IS the sweet spot. Is it me or do the pictures look better on the regular s24? The ultra looks more washed out or "smoothened". Thx for doing the + review.
I just got the plus yesterday and I'm loving it given it's downsides like you can't adjust the brightness on the AOD and it doesn't have the super fast charging option but other than those things I'm obsessed the camera works great the battery is a beast and it's comfortable to hold overall a nice phone I just upgraded from the S21 plus so to say it's a step up is a bit of an understatement 😆 I definitely love it though.
@kwes1 I'll try that but just wish it was automatic like before where you can hold down the screen and it gives you the option but I will definitely try what you are saying and hopefully that works thanks
I actually went from a S22 ultra to the S24 plus preordered. Tbh i never used the pen much and the zoom while cool in only used to hella far signs. The bump to qhd was extra cost to the ultra got me to "downgrade"
Nice job on the video looking forward to comparison. I got my 24+ the other day and so yesterday I was at four hours and nine minutes with 61% battery left so I’m thinking this phones gonna have great battery life I am I’m in the US so I have the snap dragon version.. If I have any complaint, it’s just a bummer that they haven’t upgraded the cameras since the what the S 21
Same situation here. Jack and SD card will be missed... My s10+ sd855 version is way too good! Not a problem what so ever! Though... Lurking for a s24+ Qualcomm version.. It's almost impossible to get one in Europe for now...
Excuse me for asking if you've covered this before, but the quality of your videos are unbelievable, as crisp as anything I've seen on RU-vid, what is your camera setup?
Any chance you would do a oneplus vs s24 ultra vs rog phone vs redmagic gaming comparison. I know it's only two of the 4 are technically gaming devices but... would love to see the comparison regardless. Maybe especially in terms of audio. Love you videos!
@@nokx78. no its actually the snapdragon 8 gen 3... my country mostly imports american products thats why... can confirm got mine yesterday im typing on it right now😂
I think the Plus is one of the best one to choose from all the S series. I think that it would be cool that you could use S Pen, even thou it isn't fitted in like the Ultra model. I really wish the S series brought back the SD Slot. And they improve the charging and wireless charging speed
The reasons I've stayed with the galaxy was the SD card. Everyone in my family have stayed with iPhones and I stayed with galaxy was cause of the SD card but now looks like galaxy is going to shaft everyone just like iPhone did. Sad I might as well then go with iPhone.
It will be fine. Slightly smaller battery (4900 compared to 5000), but smaller screen so probably similar battery experience. Both phones should be great for everyone as far as the battery.
Hi man, nice video! Got a question for you ... what is this on your device @minute 1:57 you can see a ... are below the wake up button, I have the Onyx black but i dont have that ... WTH ?
Im having a Hard time! I have the fold5 and just ordered the 24 ultra. But after seeing the 24 plus im thinking its the better purchase... What are the key differences? Between 24 plus and ultra. I dont really use camera much. Spen is nothing for me, I mainly use emulator, music, RU-vid, text, calling, thats all.. i am always in the sun and I kill thru the battery fast !! What would be better
Man, I hate my experience with Apple. Switched to it for the first time with 14PM and the only thing great about it is its consistent camera. Other than that, Android just makes life a lot easier and convenient. Like, why can’t I just move my apps to the bottom of my screen where my thumb is when holding a phone? Can’t wait to switch back to Android.
Tried the reg iPhone 13 2 years ago. I totally agree. And why no location toggle in quick menu...or that you can't swipe from left and right to go back? Freaking Apple
I have a 22+, people tell me all the time how my photos look so much better than theirs, mostly camera but people don't know how to take good photos. Considering upgrading to 24+, but not sure it's necessary.
Just ordered my s24+. I have the 22 ultra but it feels too heavy and thick and tbh i dont like the squared off shape of it, imo. Ive had it for a year but only used the pen like 3 times and other than a handful of zoomed in pictures never really utilize the better camera all that much. It compares almost perfectly to the specs of the 24+ and with trade in got quite the deal. Not to mention im not a big fan of the edge screen. This phone will be much better suited to me personally
@KingsDR it's only marginally smaller than the 22 ultra but I like it a whole lot. Haven't noticed any difference in the performance but It's got some really cool features. Also like I said the flat screen and the round corners are really an upgrade in my opinion
I don't know usage patterns of everyone, but I use phone for a lot of work-related stuff and this includes taking some photos of documents. S24/S24+ have the same issue as S23/S23+ which is causing blur on close-up photos (it's not bokeh!). That blur is present on most photos, but with document photos it's especially annoying, as it makes photographed text harder to read. I've heard that units manufactured in Vietnam are mostly affected. Mine S23 produced in Vietnam has this problem and it makes overall picture quality worse than S20FE. PS. Ultra units are not affected (only base and plus models).
2:13 What do you mean we should "expect" some really good battery life? Didn't you use this for 72 hours? Surely you could make definitive judgement if the battery life is good or not.
In Europe we get the infamous exynos chipsets in 24 Vanilla & Plus. So basically it's out of discussion for us and definitely not an option for tech heads. Peace!
I like you compared audio. Don't care about camera too much. If Samsung made audio a priority on this phone it would be a legendary epic phone. For now its an epic phone
I just bought a 24 + a couple weeks ago and I agree with you....I think the 24 + is a much better phone for the general populous of people. It upgrades to a QHD screen from the 24 (FHD) and, in my opinion, the S-pens are just overrated (had a Note 5 where the clicker end got stuck in the in position and I had to use a knife just to get the pen out). It fits the bill for the general cross section of users I think.
