For those wishing to learn smartphone filmmaking and work with me directly, here is a link to my ZD CREATOR ACADEMY (aka Smartphone filmmaking course) - zdenkadarula.com/zdcreatoracademy
For me this is the best video that just explained everything I needed to know about the camera settings on my S24 Ultra. Simplicity and giving us options to choose, this is thumbs up
I very much appreciate how easy you make it look. I'm getting my S24 Ultra by the end of the month and your channel was the most helpful and up to date with how to maximize its camera. I'll buy a Moza gimbal for it and as many Freewell lenses and filters I can afford to. I'll get the 1 terabyte, so I won't run into space issues while I learn all this.
I find your videos really helpful. I have the 14pro max and always torn between the huge range of options Samsung have, compared to the iPhone. You clearly know the subject and for me, I think you do a great job putting it across to suit various levels of ability. The fact you have almost 200k subscribers means lots of other people agree with me 😊
Thank you so much for your feedback and such a support. I’m right now working on a script for more of a location filming video so that might apply to variety of smart phones even though I will be filming again with this S24 Ultra…. Then will move back to iPhone. I’m happy you are finding the videos helpful
@@ZdenkaDarula You are welcome. I have also watched a few of your videos on gimbals. I was one of those folk who went out and bought a DJI gimbal for my mirrorless camera and then also the Osmo 6 for my iPhone. Now, after trying them both out, I am heading on vacation to Vancouver/Vancouver Island next month on vacation and guess what, I am only taking my Osmo 6 😀 The DJI RSC 2 is a great camera gimbal and works really well, but it gets very heavy, very fast. Still taking my camera and long lenses for wildlife photos, but after watching your Osmo 6 videos, you have shown me that's all I need to take for video.
OMG, thank you so much! I have gotten used to how easy it is just to take a good picture with my iPhone by point and click. Now, with your settings, I can do the same with my s24 Ultra and save the manual settings for the Sony A4IV. Again, thank you!!!
Thanks for your video. It was very informative. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the "Camera Assistant" setting. Ui 6.1 update from April I have installed.
I think the scene optimizer would have it turned off, I see that there is less delay when taking the photo, and it gives a more natural touch and does not exaggerate the contrast and saturation that Samsung sometimes gives it
Thank you so much for this series! I've always wanted to learn how to use the camera on my phone to its full potential, and you provide the perfect opportunity for that. I can't wait for the next video in the series.
Thanks for this post about the S24 Ultra. One question: When I work with the Hohem MT2 and the Hohem Joy app, I cannot use the Camera Assistant app? Is that right? Or to put it another way: Are the settings of the Camera Assistant app retained even if I work with the Hohem Joy app? Thank You Zdenka.
Unfortunately, you have to use only one app at a time. so you either use camera app or camera assistant will be enabled or you use Home app but it’s not gonna work there
Something is not right with s24 ultra, compared with the s22 ultra pictures lack detail and are way too processed. It's like they do 100% noise reduction and then they crank the sharpness up. It's impossible to run off the "optimizations", sometimes it overexposes by 2 stops and overall the camera app is crap. I tried a custom version of gcam and the images are night and day apart, so it's not the hardware
Thank you so much for your support and many greetings to India. Unfortunately, I would have to know your phone model first to be able to recommend a gimbal.
Hey Zdenka, sorry I didn't give you all the details. I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I really appreciate you answering me. I'm so impressed with your work. I've also seen your video on work-life balance. It's amazing. You're a great person who handles everything smoothly with planning.
Very helpful video to watch! I've got s24 ultra and at first I wasn't getting the shots I wanted. I tested 100x zoom on s24 ultra on the moon and I'd say s21 ultra is better shots of moon at 100x zoom. I want to learn more about cinematic videos with s24 ultra and I use lightroom mobile. I find taking photos in low light with photo there is a lot of noise so I use pro mode. I like the shots to look natural like you seeing with eyes. Time-lapse is something I'd like to try more often. Thanks for the video!
Thank you. I'm new to the phone and had the opportunity to take some sunset pictures while on a recent trans Atlantic voyage. I'm a sailor, and the resulting images this phone produced of that remarkable sunset made me realize l had to learn to use it properly for other chance moments.
thank you so much for your advices i applied most of them and they already show their difference right now im looking forward to use them in my next trip
I ordered an s24 ultra 2 days ago, i hope it arrive soon. With all the option out there. Im going with freewell case and lens. Since most other brand are pro iPhone and lack choice and accessibility for android. Other than that, do you have a video explaining lenses for phone. Because i can only find video reviewing lens. But they dont show how they are suppose to be use or when to. Lens, filter. I see you have freewell in this video that would be perfect for me
Thank you very much for sharing. I am glad you are going with Freewell. The quality is very high and you will be happy but those lenses. I have a tutorial different brand, but it should help you to learn about different lenses. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q2dzo9dFD2Y.htmlsi=TwBkEGR5Bixd1Dpc
Appreciate the tutorial. Only Gripe i have with samsung is they could have just implemented camera assistant into the camera settings rather getting it separately from the samsung app.
I would like to express my gratitude for this highly informative and beneficial video that you have created specifically for Samsung users. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, and I encourage you to continue producing such valuable content. FG .
Excuse me Thank you for the tutorial I have one question ❓ please When I use the 50 / 200 MP and zooming in, after photo is taken, I notice the taken photo starting optimizing then the photo goes little darker! not as I saw it brighter before capture it!! Is there a setting needed please?
I just had my S24 yesterday and I'm kind of disappointed. I like to take pictures and this is the main reason why I bought it. But on my selfie the pictures appears to be so sharp and saturated and it changes my face in a bad way. Still trying to figure out to change the settings otherwise I'll be returning this. **Hi all this my update of S24 after a month later** So, as you know I was having trouble with the Camera of my S24 ultra. After changing every possible settings to take a better picture its just wasn't working for me. So, I decided to return it and exchanged with the same model though I updated it to 512 gb. Although, I don't think the storage matters but I'm telling you the pictures looks so much different. I'd say I just propabaly got a bad batch at first but I was happy to give it another chance. I see dramatic result on the pictures compare to the first one I had, I mean so much different so for now I'm keeping it.
Just a few days with my s24 ultra and I am watching videos like yours to take better pictures. It seems to me that after completely disabling Intelligent Optimization I got better results. With it on, I found out too much contrast and too much sharpening which could look good in the phone's screen but terrible in a large computer monitor. Do you agree?
I use camera assistant that takes away the over sharpness in photos… in some instances it is better in other situations it is better off…. It depends on the scene and lighting
I started watching your videos on how to use the Osmo Mobile 3, now I bought the S24 Ultra today and I am amazed by this video, I admire your work and thank you very much. Greetings from Mexico
I am an artist and trying to take the best quality photos of my art. I have been told that although the quality of my shots are good, the images are stuck in DPI 72 when DPI 300 is required... is there a way to do this with my Samsung S24 Ultra? Thanks in advance! 🙂
hello, I follow you with love, I have a samsung s24 ultra and I set it as your camera, the problem is that I don't have the Camera Assistant option, it's simply missing, the phone is for Europe. Why can't I find this option in the Camera settings?
it is not contradictory ? Quick tap shutter and prioritize focus over speed ? I dont understand it. why is it possible to activate both at the same time ?
You are very welcome. I’m glad the video helped. Next one will be filming on location with this phone so you might not want to miss that one. I should be done with that one on Tuesday next week.
Hi there everyone hope you doing well i have a problem i dont have the option camera assistance bcs its not supported from my region its any solution about that.
Thank you very much for your support. It is very difficult for me to say what to do. I would have to look into your settings to see what you’re doing…. Sorry.
I have s23 ultra and i don't know why the quality of the videos is not good when i try to upload it to social media like tiktok is there is any solutions , i try so many things and feel tired of it
why do you think the s24 ultra does not have 960fps video recording like the S20FE? That's a recording mode I use often and I was expecting that the s24 ultra, which is much more powerful, would have 960fps recording with longer times and more options (like better resolution, HDR, etc).
@@ZdenkaDarula found the answer! _"After you are done recording your normal slow motion video on your Galaxy S24 Ultra, go to your gallery and tap on the slow motion video you just made. Then tap on the pencil icon to open the editor. Inside the editor right below your slow motion video you'll see and oval with (1/8x) in the middle. If you tap on that oval it will give you several different speed options (1/2x, 1/4x, 1/8x, 1/16x, and 1/32x). The 1/32x is the speed of 960 FPS which is 4x the regular 240 FPS which is 1/8x."_ I tried to post the reddit link but apparently youtube does not like it and my comment was deleted.
To be honest, I’m divided, and I don’t know myself… The compatibility is certainly better with iPhone, but there are so many great features on Samsung now… I keep finding myself going back-and-forth
