I dislike exynos so much....to even consider it, it needs at least 6 months to prove itself and from your comparison it seems like S23/+ is better(best case scenario the same) at a lower price
Thank you for the comparison. One comment about batteries: Samsung displays battery history starting from 12AM, not from the last full charge. So it was affected by the usage existed before you charged them.
Great video , a real bummer for those getting the Exynos chip not the snapdragon . I do have to say one year upgrades are rarely ever worth it so even if you live in an area where you get the snapdragon chip it’s not worth an upgrade from the 23 to the 24. You need to wait a couple years to see any meaningful difference.
I finally de ideale on 24+ exynos as 2 tests showed it was more efficiënt than a gen2. Even Just a little. I Come from a 20FE. I also realize I need to turn off auto correct ;-)
@ionutbagmuianu884 100% true facts I'm here in Canada 🇨🇦 and Samsung phones 📱 have the Snapdragon Chips!!! We pay top notch for cell phones here Canada 🇨🇦 like 35% more than the Usa 🇺🇸 If they put a chip in these Samsung phones that were worse then the Snapdragon chip I wouldn't even look twice @ Samsung phones 😤 I feel for other countries that get ripped off not getting the Snapdragon experience!!! Samsung should of learned over the years & just put the same Snapdragon right across the board and call it a day!!! 😉👊🏻
Why s24 was already 45 C when starting antutu? It only had 2 C to start throttle. S23 was 41 C so it had 6 C to start throttle... I have s23 but lets be fair.
True, although other benchmarks I've seen between S24 Exynos and S24 Ultra (Snapdragon) were showing that the Exynos phones run around 2c hotter under load. It may not have made a big difference even if he waited for both phones to cool down before running the test.
Galaxy S24 has almost same level of performance and camera as S23 if not better. Because of that, I call my S23 as S24 because 2023 is a bad year for me.
Samsung S24 has the prettiest and brightest display ever!😍Also design is little bit prettier than S23,i has S24 in cobalt violet colour and it's gorgeous!🤩Best phone i ever had, with the perfect size!💙
After watching some VS between S23 & S24, S23+ & S24+, Yes S23 S23+ better than S24 S24+. But we must know samsung made a great development progress for their SoC, Exynos. The difference not that big enough already, like before when SD8 gen 2 VS Exynos 2200 VS Mediatek D9200+. Hope they will reach Snapdragon & Mediatek level in the future 🙌🙌🙌 Nice review bro👍
I had s23, I got s24 plus, I get about 7/8 hours of display, better screen, better audio, better photos, less overexposure, really useful artificial intelligence... I don't understand why shovel shit on this phone, just for exynos
Great video comparision my question is does it feel lighter or no? I have s23 and always get 5-6 hours screen excelent considering my last phone was an iphone 12 mini super bad on battery hehe
Just by looking at the comparison video, the brightness of the two devices is different. The S24 is much brighter. I understand that the S24 is brighter at 2600 nits under the sun. If the brightness is not set equally for both devices, it is just a sloppy test
When using auto brightness mode: Galaxy S23: 1750nits Galaxy S24: 2600nits In the video they look identical, so I'm assuming he was using manual brightness mode.
s23 or s24 i am a 3 year phone user since i love tech i constantly upgrade my phone in 3 years and since there is a worlds biggest samsung manufacturing plant in my city s23 costing me 480 usd sealed box what should i do?
I think the brightness isn't different at all. In manual mode they look identical. I think in order to get the 2600nits vs 1750nits you have to use auto brightness mode.
I thought for a long time whether I should buy the S 23 or S24. but when I look at the test, the S23 is actually the better choice. Performance and camera are very good for both, I'm less interested in benchmarks. You also have to be fair and maybe treat the S24 to a few more updates, although a top smartphone has to run perfectly as soon as it comes onto the market. It's a shame that the S24 got this Exynos again in Europe. Battery life is also better on the S23 because of the CPU. I'm switching from the S22 because the battery life is a disaster. Greetings from Not so Sunny Germany 😊
@@RedskullPro This is so sad for such an expensive phone. There is currently no real argument for the S24. Maybe the AI, but that's just a gimmick at the beginning
Hello Alex thank you very much for this review! I'm coming from samsung galaxy S10e so you can imagine that it will be a big upgrade for me but I'm still thinking should I buy the S23 that has everything under control with the uptades or should I go for the new one and waiting for the update to be in a better place?? Camera for me is a big one in the phone.I really like what they did on the outside with the titanium though.Thank u!
Hey, since you keep the phones so long I think you should get the S24. They promised updates for 7 years on the S24. I don’t think that applies to the S23. Typically in 4-6 weeks after the initial release Samsung seems to fix most camera issues after a couple of updates 🤷♂️ My S24 didn’t get any updates yet
@@RedskullPro the 24 with exynos is worse and has more bugs than the snapdragon so this review should include that as the snapdragon doesnt share those issues, any 24s sold in usa canada or china have snapdragon
I believe your Antutu benchmark testing is invalid. You started S24 test when the CPU temp was 45C, it started to thermally throttle at 47C, but S23 was started as 42C, hardly fair. When measuring peak performance, you sould start from the same baseline, not after running multiple tests. I'm not defending Exynos, I'd rather have the Snapdragon, but your data is wrong. My score, on S24 with Exynos is 1716140 - which is inline with tests performed by others and way higher than yours.
But that is not how peak performance is measured. That's more of a sustained performance, but even so, not really fair. Sustained performance is done in a controlled way, running the "stability" benchmark, in an automatic, controlled way. Manually running benchmarks back to back does not offer a good/repeatable result. Plus, there is no way to verify your claim that you ran it the same number of times in the same conditions. Again, I'm not pro Exynos, I hate that Samsung pulls this kind of c**p while stating there is no performance difference; it clearly is. But I still believe your representation of data is not exactly fair.
Sir hello i want to buy for only social media and camera and long battery which one need to buy s23 or s24 and i didnt want to my phone overheat sorry for bad english
I am really doubting if i should go for the S23 or the s24. Sadly I dont get the snapdragon in the s24 wich is pretty sad and what also makes if more difficult for me to choose. I mostly wil use the phone for video recording and some occasionally gaming like Honkai Star Rail. The thing is, I can get the S24 for cheaper right now. It's around 70 euro's cheaper than the s23. This makes it difficult for me to choose the right one. Can someone please make some suggestions on what I should do?
Indeed.. your termed it perfectly.. the "cloudy lens look" .. you get that cloudy lens look on all Samsung phones (varying degrees).. that's one reason iPhone camera scores over Samsung.. if you compare iPhone videos vis-a-vis samsung you ll notice that always
How it is possibile that s24 has 1.3m in AnTuTu where in the internet exynos has >1.6M? what is more ufs on s23 is 4.X and in s24 3.X...this comaparison is not relevant for me...
tbf when concerning the battery he did use the s23 almost 30 minutes less than the s24 and the s24's screen does seem noticeably brighter which isn't quite fair. There was a 5 percent difference between the 2, which is probably negligible and an argument could even be made that the s24 could do better if all the variables were controlled and fair.
I won’t be able to get a Snapdragon S24 🥲 but I bet the video stabilization would be much better, performance would be better… maybe even better battery life 🤷♂️
I think you might be a bit biased about the exynos. I've seen a lot bench marks and testing and the exynos is better than the snapdragon8 gen2 but worse than the snapdragon8 gen3. So the s24 is actually better
i really want exynos to be great, but better synthetic benchmarks doesnt translate to better experience, you can have all the geekbench score but if the apps are not that optimized for the chip it will not give you a better experience. for example when exporting in adobe premiere rush, the 8 gen 2 is almost 3 times(cmiiw) faster than the exynos 2400
@@suisegs69420 Exactly. Its not just benchmark software, its day to day to use. also how its conneciton it is with mobile networks and wifi etc. I have heard the exynos drains quicker when on 5g data than snapdragon
I don't know if it's that fair though to compare a phone that's been optimized for a year now to a phone with no updates yet. If there's something I've learned about Samsung is that they never release a very well optimized phone, it always takes a few updates to sort some things out.
i hate these comparisons, of course it can be a lil glitchy sometimes, S23 has been around for basically a year now, the software is already mature and a lot of bug fixes due to the software updates that it has been received. Same will happen to the Samsung S24. Now, I also agree that these things should have been fixed since they are already releasing them, but I guess that's how the brands handle these things nowadays, fix stuff with the feedback of customers.
exynos in S24 is still better than snapdragon, I ordered S24 and I am very happy with the purchase, after a few years I will gladly come back to the Samsung store to buy a new smartphone, their promotions, discounts and prizes are brilliant You won't get this at Apple, they are greedy for money love samsung AI AI :)
@@senpaibeast2851 if I use 4G and the phone is connected to charging, it heats up quite a lot but also not always sometimes when it comes to Wi-Fi the temperatures are stable everything else design flat frames one hole for the speaker and the marble gray color is amazing for me the phone is very pleasant to the ear the camera is great, I never had the impression that the phone would fall out of my hand, it is also lighter and despite the flat frames, very handy and very nice software, I switched from the old S8 + so I feel a big upgrade, best regards
The only thing I found great about s24 is a new form factor, new edges feel as a much better experience. In my country the price difference is only $100 so I'm still wondering which 256 gb version to buy: s24 or s23
Great comparison bro! Actually Im about to buy s24. But after seeing this, I need to think twice. Let's say both IPhone15 & S24 have the same price. But you get 128gb on iPhones vs 512gb on Samsung with sexynos. What would you choose ? And guys if you read this pls lemme know your thoughts as well. FYI s23 is about the same price as s24 in my town. That's why I'm a bit confused to choose ^^
Yeah, 128gb isn’t enough unfortunately so the iPhone is out. If you could get the S24 ultra… that would be a nice phone… but the S24 is kind of disappointing imo
For the price that you give on a S24 you could buy S23 Ultra easily and get the same performance plus the benefits of being ultra with s pen, larger screen, larger battery and many more, just get S23Ultra
To sum it up, the newer S24 phone has the inferior processor, makes less sharp images, has the same or worse battery capacity .. So, why would anyone waste more money at this point?
I have seen tons of exynos 2400 reviews it's not as bad how you are showing it it is better than 8 gen 2 and can also say it is as poweful as 8 gen3 check Nl tech video he tested everything
If we are paying a premium for our device then why are we getting the subpar processor. They should restrict Exynos for their FE VERSION we want best chip for our phone if your gonna charge so much.
This comparison is horrible. Da wird die Laufzeit verglichen und gesagt, sie wäre beim s23 besser. Guckt man sich aber die Daten an, ist diese aber zumindest ähnlich, wenn nicht besser beim s24. Seltsame Wahrnehmung. Auch der Rest ist irgendwie unsinnig erklärt. Hauptsache das s24 schneidet überall schlecht ab… Unsubscribe this channel
Would have tanken the s23 but Vodafone kicked it out and sell them not more tho had ni choice! Well after 2 years will I keep it only for dex and go back to Sony also change the provider. But luckily is the exynos this time not as shit as the one as in the s22 😅
From what i gathered to all videos ive seen, exynos is shit when you are gaming the battery will drop fast. But its ok if you are only watching vids or browsing.
In my opinion, this video look like not like s24+ with exynos 2400 and to much love with s23+...and you say, "hope you guys enjoy the video" ??? Not all enjoy the video because of what you saying😂😂😂😂
thanks for talking about the fact the little rounded edges are more comfortable and better to hold it is completly idiot to change the design for those squared, rectangular edges which are not good ergonomically, not comfortable, like it adds literally nothing good samsung making idiot design choices to copy apple, useless and sad nice video, just : I think benchmark results really aren't things to really take into consideration that much, if the real usage is good this exynos is not the best chip that's for sure, but it seems to be MUUUUCH better than the 2200, and it is very good battery difference against the snapdragon seem very minimal and that's good too (and GPU performances are better on exynos, good for phone gamers) let's not forget for the cameras that the S23 has 1 year of updates behind, while the s24 is completly new (and we know samsung improve cameras after launch), in your little images it seemed the exynos version did better in the night photo samples, but daytime true that for now the s23 (in your samples at least) seemed much better, more colors, better dynamic range... BUT it seemed overexposed a little more on S23 sometimes too anyway, let's wait for some updates for the s24 exynos upgrade from s23 is totally useless, that's for sure, but I am pretty happy they are starting to improve their chips, having some competition is good
