This was my first flagship phone, I loved the round design and Samsung version of Android at that time. I would also see the Google version with vanilla Android and wanted that one so bad, I've always loved vanilla Android that's why I'm #teampixel now
*omg, you were so lucky! it was my dream phone back then.* I remember myself imagining to have it when i was 10, and now at 20, i can finally afford to have their flagship phones such as galaxy note 10+ & z flip 3 which im currently using rn 😆
Personally, i think this phone is not too bad in 2023. It still somewhat holds up, and it's the first samsung phone where Samsung went on a roll, also for android in general. Very important phone. It really improved its specs from the S2. Obviously don't buy it as your main, but if you live simple and want an old and basic phone, then get it.
Exactly. Despite Android having something for years, when Apple finally adds it to iPhones, Apple sheep act like it is “new” and that Apple are the innovators of said “new feature” 😂😂😂
@@danteerskine7678 Nothing wrong, but I doubt that the Galaxy A03 would be better. It is probably the lowest model from the current range. I would say that the S3, even though it is so old, would be faster.
This phone was dope. I had these young and I would break a lot of phones. But the phone was complex in a way that you could do anything on it. The only downside was the camera going bad
I recently ordered this for the kid (teenager) as it was the absolute cheapest thing I could find on Amazon that had both Wi-Fi and a touchscreen. He won’t have a SIM card for it either. We would have gotten him an iPhone 11 (at the lowest) but he decided he’d rather do summer school instead of having a brand new iPhone.
I remember this being the official London 2012 smartphone. It felt like the best android money could get back then. "Galaxy" felt so premium unlike today. I really miss the aesthetic of old smartphones.
Samsung S3 had a option to shoot macro photos closer than 1cm. That made macro photo insanely good. I could literally take a photo about vinul disc grooves what you cant see with eyes. Today latest samsung cant focus closer than 5cm
I remember this phone was in Mall at my place, on display on stores where you can test it connected with cable. I think they even put an gameplay of Temple run 1 on it, game was also showcasing in one of monitors in store. At that time i had Galaxy mini 1, and it couldnt run temple run or San Andreas so i wanted to buy this phone so badly. I bought it used one for 200 EUR, but i got bad deal, soon one side of screen went less responsive on touch.
Had the s3 until the s4 active came out. Then had actives until they stopped making them at the s8,i think. They were great at the time. Better water resistance. Very tough. Kinda still wish i could get something decent that isn't glass and aluminum.
S3 was a beast back then, it could handle all of the games even heavier ones till 2016-2017. If only it had 2gb or RAM like the Note 2 it could have lasted a bit longer. It started lagging as games got updated.
For my samsung collection i prefer keep the j7 core/j7 nxt model which the last one samsung phone who takes the earlier design, removable battery, and still the greatest chipset today
This was the phone that really started the fued between samsung and apple. Samsung released a top notch product that actually rivaled the iphone which many thought would never happen.
@@Gamingvids3204 call me crazy but I actualy bought this S3 20$ only to get A13 on it. I find it somekind beautiful. I'm dayli driving a much more recent devices :)
I’m here hoping to see someone try a larger mSD card in a Galaxy S III since the maximum is almost certainly more than the 64GB Samsung and everyone else claims.
I have this phone to this day, but it's not working after hours of charging it at 1 or 2%. I have even tried different cables, so it must be the battery I will probably buy a new one
I have the black one and it works fine I don't know why the world is so materialistic I mean can you tell me what and i phone does so well that it's price is so outrageous and will keep increasing a phone is supposed to make calls not come with a butler a maid etc and basic phone does well in 2023
I hated that piece of shit I had one in 2014-15 i remember it was super slow and always ran out of memory so i smashed that turd with a baseball bat and got a Sony xperia..
