ORGANIC MERCURY Organic mercury can cause sickness if breathed in, eaten, or placed on the skin for long periods of time. Usually organic mercury causes problems over years or decades, not immediately. In other words, being exposed to small amounts of organic mercury every day for years will likely cause symptoms to appear later. Regardless, a single large exposure can also cause problems. The water evaporates into steam from the heat of the oil and floats to the surface as little bubbles. That's what makes the sizzling sound. A phone doesn't (or shouldn't, anyway) have any water in it, so it won't sizzle when fried.

+TechRax Remember this - When you heat up mercury, it will fume up and boil, and you will get a huge mess of mercury everywhere. Personally in my opinion, I would not do this with a mercury contaminated phone, as those toxic fumes that come right off the mercury are quite deadly.

After it get in there, the blood floes freely throughout your body, including your brain.. That is why mercury is so dangerous, because it can bypass all your bodies natural defences.
