All phones need cases and screen protectors, why are people acting as if this is the only device that will break? Glass breaks easily guys, be careful with your devices!
Well, phone covers....cover everything , ergonomics. Companies spent most of their time designing the curve of the phone etc so that it feels good, but a phone cover....destroys everything
***** no harder than any other. On the edge area it will just be thinner than the rest. We already had a case come through that is i think 15 bucks that would do perfectly well protecting the phone. Nice stand off from the screen etc. Looks like a rip off otterbox case type
VanessaPerez0 I'm saying drop any phone can be cracked who cares about gorilla glass 4 you're just gonna put a case on it if you're in the right mind.... stupid bitch
You don't know how they suffer right? Imagine if you hadn't nothing to eat you are starving since 4 days the only thing that you cand find is dirty water that you'll probably throw up. If that isn't enough you even have a lot of diseases and there's no hospitals there just clinics that go to help. I simply don't understand your jokes about african kids, they aren't even funny because they are dying while you make fun off them. This is howthey are leaving idyeah.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/starving-child-5.jpg and you simply joke about it. What a good guy you are making fun of someone dying and if it was someone you love? Would you still laugh at it?
My s6 edge fell down 7 feet from my bunk bed, fell from the couch flying because I pulled the headphones without realising they were plugged in, fell more than 5 times from my hands and not a scratch.Pretty happy about it..
The Galaxy S6 Edge was an excuse to have more "innovation" in a phone, but when you drop it, Samsung wants your money to repair it because they know that the Edge is less durable.
StewiebossProGaming That was just dumb to make the back out of glass. Just more chance to break your phone easily. The back doesnt even come off with the S6 so that's kind of a deal breaker for me. I want to be able to remove the battery and put a new one in in a flash if need be.... Don't go with a sealed phone Samsung... I want the SD card and battery access. Lets see.... Making screens out of fragile glass so they breaky easy, making the battery non-removeable, making No SD card access. Jacking the price. hmmm Sound familiar.
Bruce Wrigleys Gumchewz No SD card for many people should't be a trouble if you buy even the version with 32 gb,since some don't fill up the entire memory with apps, music and other shit! But the non-removable battery and the back made of glass are bs!What if the water got to phone battery and you want to remove it to dry the battery! What could you do?
That's what bothers me, they removed the sd card port and interchangeable battery... Samsung was good before. But, the frame is more durable than iPhones
This is probably the 4th drop test I have watched. Basically what it confirms is that although the glass is fairly tough, there are so many variables that can still leave you with a broken phone.
He has the best income by destroying new products and apple products thats why he almost always uses iphones. Plus people look at iphones as expensive devices and people be like wow to it.. Haha
The Emerald Ghost well not really actually... IPhone have and always will be more expensive unless they drop this "Logo is expensive" thing they got going on... Don't worry I'm no hater, I own both flagship's and both have their pros and cons but for me personally who loves having things the way he wants no matter what, Android is just the best for me. I'm not saying that apple is bad, no no, not by any stretch of the imagination. I'm a modder and I will always be. And android just overall doesn't leave a mark on my wallet if you know what I mean.
Eric Sjöström The thing is that android phones lose their value really fast so they're considered "cheaper" (speaking only of price, not quality). You can usually buy an android phone for less than 50% of it's original value after one year while an iphone will not lose its value that fast. Some people use that as an argument against apple, some use that argument for apple and vice versa. Personally, I think it's better to have a phone that doesn't lose its value that fast because you can sell it after a few years and still get a decent amount of money for it. And if you're stupid enough to buy a phone on its release day, you're going to pay the same amount of money if not even more than an iphone. Phones are never cheap on their release day, so basically every phone can 'leave a mark on your wallet' if you're stupid enough.
swagmaster100 No the galaxy s6 looks actually more like the iphone 4 with glass on the front and back and stainless steel on the sides, the iphone 6 can be a copy on the htc one m8 but the 5s already looked like that except that it had glass in between the antenna
it's definitely a durable phone, I've dropped mine(normal s6 not edge) a few times and (fingers crossed) no damage as of yet. I'm definitely going too buy a case after this though... all in all though, best phone I've ever had!
A Samsung is and actual smart phone.... Honestly it's smarter than any apple device and I've had both.... It has more apps more capabilities typically a better camera, it's main screens look better and do more and it's on every service unlike iPhone which mainly runs on verizon.... But they are both smart phones,,,
Sami elrayes the iPhone literally has zero functionality. I mean seriously less processing power less ram less pixels in its screen. The only thing more that it has is price 550 quid or so for the 16gb version wtf
connectivity on iphone yeah right. at least with s4 and above you can use your phone to control most gadgets in your house. also you comment has no basis whats so ever learnthe specs before commenting jackass
Ladies and gentlemen this is how you make true art. This piece of work captures beauty fear and destruction... here I am with my S5 in the shower not worrying about a care in the world... but wishing for an s6 and now suddenly I'm ok with keeping this phone #waterproof lol
Holly SMOKES! Thank you for posting this video. I'm so happy I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge 4 instead of the 6. I've already dropped my phone from about 4 feet (SUV car seat) onto the street. It took the hit well and didn't show any damage :)
Hey good vid you must be the 2nd most best youtubers in the world keep the good work going nice channel maybe in the future your going to be the king of youtube
i can't believe that back drop O_O! Definitely getting a thick case. Why kind of ground is that? is that gravel? something with a bunch of little rocks?
Well done. We finally get to see a proper drop test on the front and back. It's pure physics. As soon as the glass hits two points at the one time the shock waves collide at angles and that's what shatters the glass. All the other drop tests show the phone hitting one edge which makes it easier for the shock wave to disperse it's energy before cracking. Now you have to wonder why Samsung would but glass on the back if it can break from a simple fall? Because now you have to worry about the cost of breaking two glass surfaces!!!! And being a uni-body, it isn't going to be cheap to fix. It's a great looking phone but that beautiful design is going to be wasted in having to put the phone into a case.
I WAS WATCHING THIS WHILE MY BABY BROTHER WAS MESSING AROUND and he dropped my moms phone on the tile floor while watching this and lucky it had a case
Wow that phone is really strong compared to iphone 6... I dropped my iphone 6 from pocket height and it shattered completely and it didn't turn back on.... I just had to throw it away... Now I'm planning to get Samsung galaxy S6.... and it seems way better than iphone S6
We are here begging for one and you are there dropping one of them...,It doesn't really make sense...LOL..,But it was a really helpful video...Thanks man...
Yo Tech, I've been watching your videos for ages now, you should invest in a slow motion camera, like a few thousand frames a second - won't be cheap but it'd be deadly.
I feel that this channel is just a way of getting anger out electronics... (it's amazing) He's doing you guys a favor for not making you spend the money on this stuff. He is also sharing the satisfaction of doing all of this... THANK YOU! lol
You do realize most drops fall from your pocket and where you're holding your phone, and for most average people that is around three feet or so... No one unless they're 7 feet tall or intentionally dropping their phone are gonna drop from 5 feet. This is not a real world scenario
I dropped my S6 edge today and it was knee height onto a rough concrete and it smashed completely but still working. So it all depends on the concrete and how it lands it doesn't matter the height.
