You can cut off the Softkeys and use onscreen ones instead . It's a much easier repair and you don't risk to destroy the screen but have your USB (not only charging )port back
Hellow everyone. If you buy new complete charher conector from market it will chage but first charge not working. If you buy only usb port then first charge will be work. Thank you everyone.

Do not even attempt this you would have to replace the screen, those square pads are very sticky. Just fun to watch. You would need to be a magician to do this.
No matter how much time I spent applying heat, the tabs would not come out and ended up breaking off. And still cannot get the tabs out of the slots so I can install a new one. What do you suggest?

When i pulled the last part out (the two black squares) on one side i ended up pulling out more than on the other. A clear plastic with a white arrow in a "U shape" came out. Is this supposed to come out or should this have remained inside the phone? Any help appreciated. Thanks

I did this repair to sort out the Fast charging the problem as Samsung said it wouldn't be possible to fix . The fast charging doesn't work still (i have tried different cables and chargers) plus now my buttons don't light up but they work.
yes, and the original cable. ive tried other chargers and cables and all sort of different combinations. There is very little online about what to do, samsung said replace the charging port. but it hasnt worked
