That PiCar might make for an interesting autonomous patrolling sentry bot. There's certainly navigation and facial recognition software for the Pi that could be combined. (I enjoyed seeing the dogs in the little tug-of-war at 1:30! I had dogs who loved that game so much -- I would come home to find the two of them asleep on the floor, each with one end of a rope in his mouth.)

Filmic pro and some other apps do the same focus feature, and much more without loosing the camera hardware features. Sometimes it adds more then the default camera app can access on the hardware.

You should into NewTek NDI, way less cables and same (if not better) functionality than actual hardware.

I think you used the zoom wrong. You're supposed to press the small 2x button on screen for the optical zoom. If you do it manually you use the digital zoom which makes it blurry and broken up.

I'm going to upgrade to the +01S at some point

if you had s8, the s9 would not be so surprising. s8 has great camera also with auto focus peaking, slow motion ect. Fixed aperture sadly.

Das +6S ist eine tolle Kamera, ohne Frage. Das einzige, was mich daran stören würde, wäre, dass ein Samsung-Smartphone dran hängt. Gibts die nicht auch einzeln? Ich will mein OnePlus 3 behalten (oder im Grunde jede andere Marke, die Android-Telefone herstellt und *nicht* Samsung ist)... ;)

How is the little robot powered? I built something similar with a usb power bank but the raspberry pi isn't happy once the engines get some heavy work :/

I have the s9. I noticed in the camera settings that no matter what setting I put it on the stabilization is grayed out. Does that mean it’s always on or is there an app problem?
