My wife has this tablet and she lives on it. I was really worried when her tablet went down because right now I couldn't afford to get it fixed or get a new one. You saved my wife's sanity during self quarantine! She dropped her tablet last night. Your instructions are spot on. My only difficulty was getting the back off of the tablet. The fix required seating the video cable, then removing the battery cable for 20 seconds to get it to reset. Powered right up. Thanks for taking the time to post this!

It wasn't easy getting the back off but when I did I followed your lead and all it needed was to unplug the battery and reconnect. Its now working beautifully. Brilliant video. Fixed my Tab A 10.1 that had the exact same issue as shown here, a loose screen connector. Wouldn't have been able to do it without this tutorial.

OMG it works. Thank you so much. I have a Samsung tablet and been dead for years. When i took it to the repairer, he was ignorant and just asked me to buy one because he think it would cost half of the price of the new device. I followed them step by step with a couple of butter knives and tweezers and I managed to fix mine😊 I'm so pleased it's finally fixed even though I did manage to take a few chunks out of the cover with my butter knives but I am just so pleased it's up and working again. I've been trying to fix my son's T700 for a few weeks as it wouldn't turn on or charge, just no response, even recovery or download mode. Tried a new charge port and a new battery. Nothing. I saw this video and disconnected/reconnected the screen, which is a snap fit, not a ribbon cable. Put the battery back in and plugged it in - the screen came on & it started charging! You have saved me the price of a new tablet and I've subscribed. Thank you.

Thanks a lot! I knew that I might need to open it up when I bought it (used, 'bad battery' turned out to be just black screen, no charging) but your simple guide really helped me :)

It's sad that electronics manufacturers are making their designs so poor that an expanding battery can cause a ribbon cable to pull out. Sorin shows us that most of the time it's not something very difficult to repair. I really enjoy when it's the motherboard or something complicated because then you really get to see Sorin's talents at work. Smiles.

This solved my problem, thank you so much! I first tried all of the usual solutions (hold volume down + power buttons for 15 seconds, etc.) but nothing worked, then I opened the case and followed this video. The screen connection cable had slipped out a bit, almost identically to how it was shown here. Once I pushed it further in, reconnected the battery cable and connected the charger, it all worked. Brilliant!
