the cameras are meant to scan things and make video calls not take picutres of your surroundings. they're actually pretty important if your gonna use the tablet as a tool.

Had a Lenovo M8HD for a couple years andI got tired of the slowness . Got the Tab A7lite for $140 out the door at Best Buy. It runs circles around the Lenovo and much more user friendly.
I got 4/64 version, after using it for a week i found that this tablet exceeded my expectations. So far using it for media consumption and light gaming. Not aware of any lagging. Screen although only 720p, surprisingly performs well. I paired it with my galaxy s10 phone and for this price i cannot find any other reliable tab as this.
Indeed right. I just dont get it people, complaining about this tablet,and probably the dont even own it. Well, for basic usage i think this tab works well. Depends on the usage of course. Paired it with my note 20 ultra
Bought a Tab A7 Lite with the 3GB/32GB configuration two weeks ago. It generally performs fine, aside from the occasional lag and stutter. I used it to watch on Netflix and RU-vid, and while I really loved the crisp audio from the stereo speakers, the video quality with the low resolution screen leaves much to be desired. August 2022 Update: My Galaxy Tab A7 Lite was updated a few months back wherein the software was downgraded to OneUI Core. That meant that the AOD-ish battery percentage indicator while charging was gone. The device has seemingly slowed down too and I'm worried how well the upcoming Android 12 update will work on the device. Also the 32GB internal storage isn't enough. If I'm buying a new tablet, I'm sure getting one with at least 64GB of built-in storage :)
@@christaylor9492 Hi! I haven't downloaded any games in the Tab A7 Lite because I was unsure if they would be any good there 😅 If you like gaming in your tablet, maybe an affordable Realme or Xiaomi tablet, if available near you, would be better.

If you are not stuck on psycho about age then the s3 t820 original list 800.00. I just bought for 130.00 new works And completely smokes any of the 5 budget-mid I have owned. But if you like sporting the latest beast that sucks, do as you like suckers
@o_O I know right people just look at paper specs and not the display quality itself, you can have an IMAX resolution screen and still have sht display quality
Picked this up to use as a larger screen for navigating overland routes using GAIA GPS and Fatmap. Seems to work pretty well at this point. No real plans to use it for anything but navigation but will be adding a micro SD as the map data fills up the internal storage really quick.
I'm about to buy one to run Back Country Pro on. I see you've had it for about a year now, how has it held up to just using it for GPS? That's I'm intended purpose as well.

Forget the negative Nit picking on alot of these reviews... This is an awesome tablet that's affordable and for its price its great for watching movies online surfing on the go, it's great for the price, these reviewers expect it to be like some apple air etc for the price it's amazing.

Bought the A7lite about a year ago. I use it off and on, for RU-vid, Hulu, Netflix, etc. It gets the job done. Even got it for a nice deal from Samsung.
For $129.99 at Costco with the book cover included, this was hard to pass up. I'm old school with tablets and don't look at them as more than a streaming, e-book, light browsing device. And for that I find it more than adequate and not worth $370 more for an iPad Mini.
I bought this after owning a Fire 8. night and day The operating system is way less constricted and the storage actually feels like it's meant to store. It doesn't feel cheap at all. It is way snappier and can handle more multitasking unlike the fire tablets. These are not only affordable but blow the fire tablets out of the water

I have this tablet and it is amazing, everything is good with it, it's so much expensive here in my country but I'm happy to have it, the size is perfect not small not big and she is fast in multitasking. I had before tablet samsung galaxy tab A 8.0 2019 and difference between is so much big, I don't use gaming or movies don't have time lol but the quality is quite good for videos and the screen is clear ... it's the best 8-inch size in my country I wanted tablet 8" with S Pen but not disponible here ... I'm very glad to have this A7 Lite it's do all the job...
My dad got this tablet with his new Samsung phone from his provider and is giving it to me no strings attached. Great for 2nd device for reading and browsing internet and movies is what I plan to use it for.
Use this as a remote control for my living room. Lights, curtains and all my audio and video equipment. I am using the Home Remote software. Works like a charm. Only payed 129 Euro's. The screen is not the greatest, but as a remote control it's efficient.
I just bought this to to replace an Lenovo tab Ive been using for a head unit in my vehicle. Should work very well with Torque, podcasts, and Nav running. Connects with my Samsung phone with the bluetooth or hotspot WiFi
As someone bought it. It runs great but the display is horrible for videos.not worth it if you're planning to use it to watch videos. It's definitely worth the extra $60 to get A7 or A8.
8 inch tablet is always my go and I've been waiting to upgrade from Samsung Tab S2 8.0 but everything has gone down hill since. I've mostly use tablet to watch movie when I'm laying down on bed, so great high res screen, at least IPS display is a must and 10 inch is just too heavy to hold it up for hours. Now my S2 is finally saw the end of life and I've been force to buy 3yo Huawei M5 lite because there's nothing else to pick. Low budget one with terrible screen like A7 lite won't cut it. This just sad as I've been Samsung customer since S5 and now iPad mini is seem to be my only option.
Agree, none of these new smaller android tablets can beat the specs of the sony xperia z3 tablet compact aside from android vers. that's from 2014. it's pretty pathetic..

I just ordered this for my kid. At first I planned to buy the Amazon Fire 7 kids edition, but changed my mind after seeing all the bloatware they added to it. The Fire 7 Kids edition also did not allow home screen customization, and also strangely pushed a lot of political books which I found to be a weird thing to add to a tablet meant for a small child. Anyways I decided to purchase this instead, and I bought a child proof case to go with it. I don’t feel comfortable spending anymore money on a tablet for a small kid 😅 This is certainly no iPad but I think this will do just fine for small games, and movies for the car 👍

I got the Amazon tablet for my kid and hate it. It's almost unusable it's so slow and the app store is very limited. Think I'll be trying one of these.
This one reminds me so much of Samsung’s old tablets back in the day. Wonder what it would be like using this tablet after being with the M1 iPad Pro for over a month. Even just going back and using my mom’s iPad Air 3 (same tablet I used to have) it feels slow and small with its 60Hz 10.5” display.
I have an iPhone 12 mini, and for portability it’s amazing. However sometimes I find myself at home not wanting to use my iPhone 12 mini for entertainment and neither my 55 inch Roku tv so I ended up buying this, and as much as I wanted the iPad mini 6, it’s easily over $500, for plain entertainment it’s more than good enough, no games as that’s why i have my Xbox series X for. I used to own a s8, s9 plus, even a note 5, and while samsung has improved i do still prefer the iPhone as my phone.
Can you imagine if this budget tablet in 2003? It would have blown your mind! You would have said that with those speakers you could get rid of your auto stereo.
Not sure if this was mentioned in the comments anywhere...but the screen is a IPS lcd panel and not a TFT panel as Samsung just refers to this name any screen that is not anoled or Qled and not sure why they do this as if it was a TFT screen when you move to view it at angles the colors will shift and with a IPS panel the colors will not shift...and on some sites it mentions it is a IPS panel also...this makes this tablet even a little sweeter. 😊 And good video of this tablet also. 👍
I think Samsung missed the trick with this one. It's beyond me why they haven't come up with a tablet that weights below 300g that could be held on one hand for people who want to use their tabs instead of also carrying their Kindles with them. Ipad mini comes close but beyond me why Samsung just ignores this gap in the market for android.

I know I'm late to the video But am I the only one that wants them to do an 8" tablet with 8GB of ram I don't care about the storage as long as they give me an SD slot you slot on an 8" platform basically to compete with the ipad Mini because I just think that it's used cases are a lot more useful in the long run and it's not so unwieldy to bring around with you
I'm not worried about the slow charging. But this thing is saddled with only USB 2.0 speed on the USB-C port. 5:28 TFT literally means 'thin film transistor' which means it's an active-matrix LCD panel. It has nothing to do with IPS vs VA vs TN... as all of those are TFT displays. I'd love a replacement for my LG GPad but this is only marginal at best: lower resolution (I got my GPad in 2013... yeah.) I'm sure it will be a bit faster and stuff but overall meh.
I got the cellular A7 Lite for free from my carrier. It's fine enough for emails, watching RU-vid or something to look at while while waiting for appointments but it's not really good for competitive gaming.

Honestly not a bad tablet to have at home tbh. Got the SIM card one and the kids can text anyone from it. I mainly use it for streaming movies and shows so that’s pretty cool. I also use it as a Nintendo DS emulator but I’m pretty sure that’s the best it can do as far as emulation goes lol

I think the Tab S6 Lite is a better budget device. Although the price is more expensive, you do get an S-Pen along with 64 GBs of storage and 4 GBs of RAM in the base model.
In Indonesia we get free original back cover in seller package, and also is not usual TFT Panel.. but PLS TFT, IPS version that develope by Samsung (IPS develope by LG)

What I want from a tablet is 8-9 inch screen that I can use to watch RU-vid videos and read manga and check my email. I am getting this with my flip preorder for no additional cost which is a plus. If this doesn't do it for me then I will just consider this a down payment to the new ipad mini
@@milestones305 it's great! The screen size is roughly the size of a Manga book. I read some complaints about resolution, but the screen is pretty crisp. I have never read so much Manga in my life 😁
I don't really see the benefit of having a tablet. It looks kind of like a useless item to have. Is a tablet for people who can't see well because the screen is so big?? Or what is the idea?
Based on the MOSFET (metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor), TFT (Thin Film Transistor) was invented by a US corp in the 50s and is the basis for all our flat screens (as opposed to cathode ray tubes / CRTs), and something that LCDs (liquid-crystal displays) are a part of. In turn TN, MVA, IPS and OLED are all types of LCDs. When a display is only advertised as TFT, LCD or LED it often means that it's a TN panel, the worst kind for mobile devices like tablets or phones due to the poor viewing angles.
Only when viewed from the extreme sides. Otherwise it's pretty much okay, i use Galaxy Tab A 2019(the bigger 10.1 with full hd screen) and it does it's duty as a laptop sidekick.
I have an Amazon Fire 8 and it's just okay, it's really slow and the screen feels unresponsive and dim. I STRONGLY dislike the Amazon store and the fact that Amazon LOADS IT UP with apps you can't delete, it wastes most of your storage. I did the work-around to get the Google store but it isn't the same. I just ordered the A7 Lite and am really looking forward to it!

How does Netflix and kindle works? I read that Netflix resolution is not up to mark.. and for kindle it’s hard to read at night due to blue glare.. true??
The best 8" is the Tab A P205 or P200 which is the 2019 8" tab a with s pen. The 2020 8.4" is good as well but no s pen. This one has a shit 720p display :(
The worst part about the 15w "fast" charging is that for some reason, it doesn't even HAVE a fast charger included - I wondered why anytime I used the included charger it would say "Cable charging"...until I put it on my A32 5G's charger, and boom, fast charging.
Samsung doesn't provide the proper charger their device is capable of. The tab a7 lite is capabale of 15w charging, but samsung only provides the 7.7w charger in the box.
Super strange, they could have just not added cameras. Had 6gb standard ram and fast charging and would probably sell double. I cant imagine samsng couldnt omit cameras, have a 3100mah battery and it be more expensive.
