Well, it would be great for putting inside your pocket and watching movies on full screen but when are you doing the S24 or S24+ video or the galaxy buds fe video its been months
I absolutely love this tablet. I originally bought it as a companion for my a54 phone but it's now getting more use from me than the phone itself. I love playing older games on it via emulation, best $120 I ever spent
@@VinnyUnion I bought the tab a9 mainly for it's size. I know the 720p TFT LCD is a deal breaker for some, but me personally, it is actually good enough for my usage. edit: forgot to mention. I applied a matte screen protector making the screen look nicer and reduce glares.
The specs aren't the best but the experience is good. I also went into using this tablet thinking it was going to be bad because it doesn't sound good on paper but it works well with whatever you do on it. If it was more expensive it would be "cope" but it's $125. Good device for the price is not cope.
@@ShaneSymonds I got it at 180$, the 8gb ram, 124 gb memory, 4g version. It was reduced from 210$. In my contry are a little more expensive, idk why, but I think for the price and what is offering, is very good. I bought it for the size. I have a S6Lite LTE, and was much more expensive and it does greate whene it came to media but in the gameing department, is low.v
This tablet is very practical and convenient. For someone like me who just wanted an Android device as another option, this is very convincing. Good job, bro! Thank you so much! I'm really impressed with how well it performs. New subscriber here by the way. 😁
I've ad this A9 tab for 3 months now ,and I just wish it came with a spen Samsung really need to review this tab and make it the powerhouse it should be
I almost sell my A9 just because i fell bored with this device. But because of your review i end up reall love this device for the compatiblelity to play Gamecube games espescially the Resident Evil. Now i just need to buy some gamepad. Thx for your review, i'll subscribe & waitimg your gaminng review on this tab.
Great review. Appreciate not having to listen to some obnoxious music or graphics. Your review is succinct and to the point! Well Done. Now my question. Will (or has) Samsung updated this to Android 14? Waiting to pull the trigger on this one. Thanks
I remember one of the early tab from samsung i have, galaxy tab 7.7. amoled, cellular, stereo speakers, can make call, expandable storage. Headphone jack.
Why they want to? that will kill their $1800 phones Samsung Fold series is 7.4 inch extremely expensive phones.. Making high-end mini tablet will hurt the Fold series It's like selling 8-inch screen for $120 (very low profit) while they can sell 7-inch screen for $1800 (super high profits 10x)
Got the A9+, and i could not ask for more. Use it to surf , Videos streaming & play Musik over BT-Strereo in my Garden, so i dont have to carry my laptop around. Battary holds up far longer than a usual work/Garden Day. The performance fits the needs of everyday use, at least for 85% of people i think. The display is bright enough in my opinion. The Cam is maybe not the greates on the Planet- who cares? Just invest 20 min. to get the adjustmens right, and for 190€ you cant go wrong.
What was it slow with? I actually found navigation to be pretty smooth as I showed in the video, web browsing is fine, and gaming is good for me too. The 60hz feels sluggish but I wouldn't classify it as painful. I would say the Tab A7 Lite is painfully slow like I showed in the gaming test getting 10 fps but I'm curious to hear your findings
Most room for improvement is in the display department though for sure. In its own bubble its fine but compared to nearly any other display on the market its lacking
maybe you could try removing unnecessary animations that usually made it slow/lagging. you enable this in setting>accessibility>vision enhancement>enable remove animation. the navigation and such would be kind off kindle-ish and sometimes you have to gamble if the loading icon is actually loading 😂. So far that works best for me
Great review. I think you can also mention Dolby Atoms, as it is a great feature. I got one 2 months ago as a portable device to use during my hour long commute everyday. I am an iOS user and have an iPad Pro 11”, and iPad Mini seems too expensive and overkill for my demand. At that time the market is flooded with basic WiFi version of A9 in 2nd hand market as they are used as gift for other products. I grip one in half price of my region (~$100), and I love it. The screen is bad in any means, but at lease it can do its job. The sounds is great with Dolby Atoms, no matter with it’s speakers or pairing with a Bluetooth headphone.4GB ram is a concern but not a big problem for me, at least right now. The only thing I regret is not getting a LTE version, but I managed to bough a 4G mobile router and somehow solved the problem.
Ipad mini 6 is the best small size tablet imo. If u got the money, go for it. But if u are on a budget, Galaxy tab A9 can work if it just for reading pdf
A9 should use 5G like A9+ instead of only 4G chipset, this is the only downside but in term of portability and functions, i think it beats A9+ hands down. The convenience of answering call without BT ear piece is already justified enough over the clunky A9+.
So I went to the phone store to pick an A9 last week. New in the box goes for $205 in my country for 128gb cellular version. Long story short, I picked up a second hand broken outer screen z fold 2 for $195 instead. Come on Samsung.
I bought one here in the UK when it was reduced. It does what i need it to do but the screen is poor quality. Low'ish resolution, not that bright & with poor viewing angles. I do however like the screen size & the overall size of the tablet. But yeah, the screen isn't great.
Did u manage to find one yet ? And if so, what tablet did u find. As I'm looking for a good affordable small ish tablet that I can play pokemon go, stream on 😮
This tablet's a binge-watching beast - huge, clear display for shows on the go. S Pen feels like a real pen for notes & sketches. Battery lasts forever! Only issue? Kinda slippery. Fixed that with a clear, grippy gadgetshieldz body & screen film tho! Feels secure, screen's protected, all without the bulk. #WorthTheUpgrade
I wish it had slightly more powerful hardware. These are tough times for those who want a small but powerful tablet. I don't understand why we have to buy a bigger one to get a stronger one.
I would love to see this at least get on par with samsungs latest A series phones. 120hz, 1080p, midrange processor. I'd imagine it costing twice as much at around $250 once discounted but I'd happily pay that to get better hardware
My only issue with the tab a9 is that my controllers all suffer from incorrect mapping, the right hand 'looky' stick does nothing and the LT / RT act for it instead making it lock into a spin and looking to the sky soon as you have touched them 🤣 I think this might be an Android 14 issue as the controllers are perfect on my old galaxy phone using android 9. other than that its a great little pad for the price tag, fast, plenty of storage and good battery life. camera results could be better but its not a David Bailey machine, just a pad. Thanks for your review. 👍
I have got to admit it i have mine about 3 months now and i'm not too happy with it. I'm the 70 years old and had samsung most of my adult life. The main thing for me is this is similar to windows in that every time i knew os comes out it requires more ram. Android sites and stuff recommend 8G for tablets these days. I'm visually impaired and can't use a cellphone this phone works great with the bigger keyboard and stuff. When i am on youtube for watching tv and stuff like that his locks up constantly and i have only got basic stuff on your. I did a factory reinstall without installing any samsung anything i passed on it and just install it mostly google. It's banana 2 weeks now and it's still locking up even though i put absolute and everything else and now android 15 is coming i'm wondering how that will work. These tablets need 8 gig minimum like you're giving to the plus. Also canada is selling this with the 8G so they're cutting us off for that phone. There's a couple reminder things that are the best but kind of disappointed in samsung not giving us tables with at least the minimal ram. I don't play games or nothing so i don't get it other than their saving every time they can
So, did you buy the 4 GB version and it's running slowly, or the 8 GB version and it's still slow? Thanks for your response because I'm considering whether to buy the 4 GB version, price diffenence is quite big.
@@gloczyslaw19 Pass on them both. Buy an Ipad 5 mini. You will never regret it. Great screen, fast, sure, low price now. Grab one. Dont sit there, do it.
What a disappointment it doesn't have a full HD resolution. It's like there's no good mid to mid-high range tablets between 8-9 inches anymore :( I was looking forward to replace my Lenovo Tab4 8 Plus.. but now I see I will have to wait for a bit longer until something better comes out on the market.
I think you're meant to stop charging at 85% to protect the battery, or that's what the newer Samsung phones advise 🤔 (and have an option for). I could get either the A9 or A9+ but for portability I'm thinking to get the A9... opens up more opportunities for working remotely, reading documents, still able to watch videos etc. without needing to lug around a bag. The A9 looks gorgeous in your review 👌
2 questions 1. Can i connect a gaming controller to this tablet and use the controller exclusivley to operate the device? For instance, like a playstation controller? 2. I think you already said in the video, but you can put a sim card in this tablet and use it like a phone, right? So if i wanted to, i could install WhatsApp and use it on my tablet? Thanks!
Is this tablet good enough for office works like using wps office , office suite and listing notes? If not please suggest some cheap decent tablet that's solely focus on productivity and nothing else
I would get the a9 plus for that because of the more generous screen space and resolution. with a portable keyboard it can work as a lightweight laptop.
Clicking the affiliate link takes me to Amazon. The unit shown is an International Version. 10% of revenues say United States is not recognized in the Region selection. Is this the same unit. Thanks
That's fine, I think I chose South Africa for my region and the device still works fine (and this includes the cellular use, my reception is fine on it)
@ShaneSymonds Your link to buy one of these A9's through Amazon says it's an International version. Will it work in the US where I live? Also, do you know if Amazon allows a return if I open the box & turn it on & if it will not let me set it up to be used in the US? Thanks :)
In the U.K. I called up to get a cheap and cheerful sim only plan for my daughter they said £5 per month or you can get it for free if you sign up to 48 month plan for £3.50 where you get this tablet for free so I went for this offer
You can go with the Galaxy tab active 5. It's almost the same size, and it has an S-pen. It is rugged but I think that's better, for maximum protection and all. I don't know about internal features but you can look it up and learn more about it.
Unfortunately the Tab Active 5 is expensive at $550. I've been tempted to review it but its so expensive that it would be hard to recommend to average users.
This is an international version... I'm guessing that you're from the US. Were you able to pick US as your region during setup? If not what region did you pick?
I got this just to read pdf files & manga, anything else on it gonna make it slow & laggy. 140$ For the price its perfect just dont run call of duty or games on it 😂
