Hi Everyone,
Today we're posting a video of us repairing a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 with the hopes of advertising our repair services. Also at this time, January 31st 2012, there seems to be no YT videos of a Galaxy Tablet 10.1 so we thought it'd be cool to be the first to share one online.

If you're wondering why we used the cutting board on top of the anti-static mat, it was due to the heat gun. If we had used the heat gun directly on the tablet and anti-static mat, it would have melted the mat.

This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. ru-vid.comUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it

For those trying to figure this out on your own. You should know you're going to need a tri-wing bit to unscrew the screws near the docking port, if you do not do this you will risk breaking your case.

Nice Video, but be careful. Does not work that easy with the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) (P600). The digitizer is glued on the whole surface of the LCD.

Man.. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I managed to repair my screen on this model of Samsung Galaxy using this video, and I have no experience in such works at all. To the guy below, i bought the screen digitizer of the ebay for 75$, I think now you can find it for 60$. The unglueing of the screen from the LCD is the far the hardest and most delicate part! Thanks again! My tables is as good as new now!

This demonstration is not valid for the Note 10.1 - 2014 version (P600). The 2014 version digitizer is glued not only on the edges but, on the whole surface of the LCD. Amazingly, some have claimed success in separating the digitizer from the LCD and cleaned off the glue without cracking it. But, chances are you will need to lay out a little more cash for the complete LCD/digitizer unit.

VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED: THIS IS A 10 YEAR OLD VIDEO. Newer screens are glued to the digitizer. They are NOT separable and you will destroy the LCD trying to do this. Do not buy digitizers for late model tablets.

I found that you have to make sure you have the correct REV number on the flex cable of the digitizer. I have seen REV 00. 01, 02, 03 and 04. Some are compatible and some are not.

Flickering is a common trouble. Just the display connector needs to be connected correctly. It happens it releases sometimes. I do it once or twice a year.

The antistatic strap should be attached to the actual device. The principle at play is electrostatic discharge which is when two objects have different electrical potential and an "equalizing" spark jumps between them causing damage to electrical components😉.

It doesn't work with Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 sm-607t. Digitizer is stick with LCD very strongly, almost impossible to remove.

Just took in a cracked samsung tablet screen to be replaced and it's now dimmer and the contrast is way too high? Darks are way too dark. Makes watching video near impossible Any idea what could have caused this? Is it the new screen, or is it a loose connection that the tech overlooked? The cracked screen was a lot brighter and crisp and clean compared to the replacement.

Sorry salvador. This video was made a year ago and not many youtubers check the coments on there older videos. But you could take your tablet to radioshack I think they do repair to electronics like the tablet

I fell in the water with my new 10.2...I had to act fast and dry the most I could and remove the battery connections. Then I voided my warranty....now after I completely dryed all the components have problem with the sensitivity of the digitiser because there is dryed particules of that water in between it and the LCD...I have alcohol isopropil 99.5 % ....thinking about submerging the tablet (without battery) and rinse 3 or 4 times ....could it work?:the 10.2 is different to take apart...

Oh man, that still looks like a lot of work to me, I might stuff it up. But the guy at the shop wants to charge me $250. I might as well buy a new one. I'll see if I can be brave to risk fixing it myself.

I live in the USA and I bought my SGT10.1 when I was in Jordan, for a problem that took place I mistakenly pulled out the P4 screen cable/ connector" and now whenever I try to connect it it shows no display or the screen won't lit unless I exert some kind of pressure on the cable... I don't know what to do.... can you help me out?
