I think while almost everything is a minor upgrade, the battery alone makes it an upgrade you need even for $500. Like you said the battery for the flip 3 was so bad. I have to have it on battery saver all the time.

It can't be a Flossy review without getting to jam to White Shoes for a couple seconds...

I love that this phone uses same cases and has same feel as the 3. Major physical changes are just a way for the companies to make more money on cases and accessories. I got what I want with this one, which is a better battery for $200. I would have paid $500.

Good idea on the sound during flip open/close.. a sword coming out the case would be nice like in those movies. Chingg like a sharp sword coming out. Or a variety of sounds.

I just dumped all my apple stuff and minimalize my gadgets and electronics. I went with the flip 4 and love it. Apple fans hate when you say apple doesn't really innovated so I won't say it.

I jumped on the upgrade finally this week when Samsung is offering me 1K for my note 9 in perfect condition. They yes, gave me the upgrade to 256G and yea a free case too if u preordered. Should be here by Tuesday. Your video gives me comfort my choice was right cause no offense If ur rough a$$ ain’t break that flip then it’s gotta be sturdy cause you give it a real life test scenarios. Can’t wait to see it in real action on my day to day. Oh and not with the AI comment “we talking about practice?” 😂😂

Dex DOES require hardware. It needs USB 3.0 or better speeds over the USB port, and the Flip phones are just USB 2.0 speed :/ Wireless dex is still available, though, because that is actually mostly software.

I have the flip 3 and honestly don't think I need an upgrade; I enjoy my flip 3 despite the battery, but I know how to save my battery pretty well. The battery would be a nice thing but I'll honestly wait until samsung does a huge upgrade to the phone

Main thing I found was killing the battery on my flip 4 was 5g disabled it now instead of getting home with around 20% battery for the last week I've been at high 40s

Floss , my gripes - 6.7 " SCREEN , BATTERY BETTER BE MORE THAN 3700 screen collects lint like crazy , pre-installed protector is a magnet for it. Very hard to flip with one hand . Charging, charging , charging ,,,,, Telling me to open phone to view my app,,,,. Definitely not a good choice if you have flip open

I pre-ordered from T-Mobile and got my phone a week early. I couldn't bring myself to trade in the note 20 ultra for the Samsung deal. I use both phones. I use it when I go hiking or walk my dog because I don't like having to carry a big phone when I'm not using it and it's awkward trying to talk to someone on my watch if i dont have my earbuds. The z flip is more like an added on accessory for me then a dedicated phone. I need more battery life.

Are you gonna take a look at the Moto Razr?? Definitely have been admiring the foldabales and trying to decide between the Flip vs the Razr.. Whenever the hell it gets on this side...or if I should hold out for the S23 Ultra or even the Pixel 7. I did pre-order the Flip, but may be thinking about returning it. IM upgrading from a Note 9😳

Excellent Real Review

Just can't justify the Flips or Folds mainly because I live in a sandy area on the Texas Coast. I see the Flips marketed to the Kids & the Folds to the Business folks. My S22 Ultra & Note 10+ are just great for me. Especially since I wade & Kayak fish in Saltwater. Just can't do plastic display & pay double for 2 phones slammed together, basically

A bonus to this phone if you live in Europe , it gets you a Samsung phone with a. Snapdragon chip

omg the sound effect when it closes-opens ...yes please, genius man! I did upgrade from Samsung s10 plus to this phone, and for me its a major upgrade :) but agree fully, i paid 800eur for this phone, because i got a bonus for my old phone. My phone was in a very good condition, no scratch but they gave me 50 euros for it with 300 eur bonus. A case or buds would be nice for those that preordered....I do feel a bit scammed by samsung, although i'm super happy with the phone, i was promised to pay less (get a bigger price on my old phone, but they changed it), thought i would get something extra for preorder, didnt get shit. While the person next to me got for an old butten phone a brand new samsung s 22 - 125 euros bonus and ear buds for f-king freee!!! Im so sad :(

If you got the EARLY early deal to trade in the base Z Flip 3 for the Z Flip 4 for only $99, It was a no brainer. Bigger battery, faster charging, more ram, double the storage and subtle improvements in build quality. On top of that you were given enough credits to get a new watch and buds for basically pennies on the dollar, not to mention a free case.

Iphone designs haven't changed in 3 years so the flip 3 and flip 4 being the same size isn't that big of a problem

Once Samsung takes full advantage of that outer display, address the battery, improve the cameras and add Dex the Flip series will be a monster. But Samsung won't do it because of the Fold series, from a selling point they'd probably increase the price because it'll sway users away from the more expensive fold series. If they made those improvements they'd probably increase the price by $200-$300. But to actually interact with the entire phone while it's still closed with be very very very nice.

That's what I did with my s21 ultra I traded it for 1000 for the s22 ultra with the free memory upgrade package for 256 gigs for 199 I took that deal hard to pass up now I own the s22 ultra green galactus alpha omega Supreme !!!

I love the fact Flossy out here stressing $1000. Bro you’re selling us a $700 phone for $1000 and not giving us the $1000 red carpet. “Back in my day” $600 phone purchase meant I was getting at least something something to make me feel like it was worth it.

Thanks for a thorough review once again Flossy. I tried to wait for it before purchasing it, but I had to take advantage of the limited offer for a free phone with my trade in through my carrier. I switched from the Note20 Ultra, which I loved, but it's been proving to be too big to fit in the smaller women's purses on trend right now. Lol. The battery life is a disappointment. I already notice the difference today, day 2 of use for me. But I have chargers everywhere, so I can deal with it. And no charger included. That's bogus like you said. But I really like the flip feature and the ability to put it in a micro purse if I wanted to. Next purchase, a blingy case. I got a free, boring pink one. Not feeling it. Nice phone but completely agree, 1000 euro for this phone is TGH!!!. Samsung, google and apple are charging massive amounts for phones with nothing special in the box when u buy it. Also the fact samsung is still so behind fast charging is shocking

I don't know man, I think the trend goes more towards having your phone much longer than 2y. Especially if you look at google and their update policy, updaytes for 5y. Like Apple. I don't know any Apple user that upgrades their phone every 2y. Pixel users kinda the same nowadays. Not sure how it is with Samsung though, do they still have outdated Android versions when they release the device? And only 2y of updates? Or did they become more customer friendly now?
