So from what I've seen and heard they are just adding a better hinge faster chipset and the cameras from the s21 ultra. I have the zfold 4 and a camera upgrade would help me think about upgrading but I'll see how the final product comes out

Screw the fold series. My Fold 3 just reached 1yr 3 months and WIFI went dead. And worst, to replace the wifi module, they're required to change the entire main screen panel. And replacement basically cost 35% of an entire new phone. To make matter worst, there's no guarantee that replacement parts would last 3x longer than the original stock components. My Note 9 until now still works like a charm. P/s: if you are foolish enough to buy, I wish you good luck.

@@wayneberry3453 my xioami 12t pro hyper charge charges to full capacity in 18mins....and has had no heat issues...been using it now over a year without one issue. It comes with a 5000mah battery..

@Uche Attoh seen the damage "hyper" charge does? Seen how much faster they deplete? Where do they put the hinges and similar specs, in the 12t? 🤔 nah, xioami are ok. But, it's like saying. Can I have a fast car... that doesn't use much fuel... and cheaply made but reliable.

Been using my phone over year, phone gives me 8 hours of heavy use, 18 minutes to charge back to 100 percent and then another 8 hrs of heavy use...take it from me, it would be hard to switch to another phone without this feature...it is phenomenal....oh, one last thing, this phone is from cheaply made...i have used most high end brands and this is surely the best all rounder I have used...hope you get over your ego and take some real life experience feedback...

Fold 1 : a folding phone prototype for experiment; Fold 2 : water resistance added; Fold 3 : S Pen support added; Fold 4 : Change dimensions to follow Chinese folding phone; Fold 5 : Change hinge design to follow Chinese folding phone. Samsung was used to be a pioneer in folding phone. Now, with their slow pace of upgrade, they become the copy cat to Chinese phone. It is a sign of failure like Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson....Etc.

I actually don't mind if it doesn't have an S-pen considering I don't even use it ever on my s23 ultra or even my s22 ultra when I had it. It's just nice to have just in case you need to sign something and send it back but how often does that actually happen lol. I think the new hinge design will be a game changer for a lot of people. Just unsure if I'm okay with a folding phone just yet. The aspect ratio for screenshots and such is a turn off for me. When I had the z fold 4 I returned it because it wasn't as comfortable to type on the outer screen as I thought it was gonna be and I have small hands. I prefer the bigger size of the ultra or even the plus model. Also makes it easier to handle laying down.

Well you're right about that, I still like the phone that's not the problem, we went from the Not 20 ultra with an s-pen, to where we had to buy a S-pen to use on the new phone, the Galaxy Z fold 4 5G, I have the 3 and the 4, so I won't be buying one unless it does come with a built-in S-Pen I'll wait, since I have an international version of both, I can go and use custom roms and keep the phone just as fast, and getting rid of things I don't want on the phone, there's just endless things you can still do, intil they come out with one with a built-in s pen✌️in, so I'm keeping the phones I got until they come out with one, with a built-in S-Pen, end of story, they've got enough of my money.

I had the Fold3, Fold4, and Microsoft duo. The folds are nice but heavier and useless for productivity. They also do not last long without baby-ing them. The technical reason for the center crack is actually from temperature heat and cooling. It the unit is out in the sun, the thin flexible main screen will cook. As it cools down, it hardens. The fold screen is simply thin and easy to cook. Also, Samsung is just very stubborn to stick with with their very Narrow design. I had app compatability issues when using the Fold4 main screen, vertically, with two apps in split screen. They didn't adjust well to the narrow realistate. So I Had to use the unit HORIZONTALLY, in landscape format, as how this pixel fold will be! . .Also The Fold4 front outer screen was the same unusably narrow size for any type of texting. And the less bezels around edges, meant that any case used besides the factory one, was too thick, and so made it harder to press corners for outer screen keyboard. The issue is the Fold 4 OUTER screen, is having the same exact front screen as the Fold3, only with less bezels! This idea of less bezels backfires when you try to add any case, as the case edge will not have much any bezel area, and so the thickness of the case will prohibit screen touch of keyboard on the edges, making the Fold4 front screen, even more useless than the Fold3! . That is MY REAL WORLD experience. So I sold the Fold4 and "downgraded" to a Duo1 temporarily for only $260, to wait for THE PIXEL FOLD.. They making the screen format similar to a TV or laptop, in a more usable rectangular landscape view. From what I read, Google had their hardware ready to go for a December period, but put it off, to refine it, and they will be introducing software that Samsung doesn't have. They will be ready to beat Samsung to market with their Fold5. Samsung not making too much changes because of pressure to roll out as soon as possible, because "One plus" will be rolling out a rebranded Oppo fold at similar time. Then Microsoft will enevitably come last, but their Duo3 will probably be the most innovative model to fold both ways... So the bottom line with the Fold5 is, no camera upgrade, no "S" pen, no battery increases, and no major design changes = no real innovation or improvements. You getting the same phone just more thin. Water/dust proof, That cost them nothing they put some extra rubbers inside for less than one cent. Meanwhile, All the new phones will beat Fold5 camera, as any camera 50mp or less is simply not good enough.

Looks amazing if it looks as good as the Huawei Honor VS but I am still frustrated that they have taken away the external SD function in the sim tray. This does not take room like the SPen as the sim tray is already there and will probably be a dual sim which hardly anyone uses as they normally just have one mobile device.

Been using fold 3 and a year later after warranty no more, phone issues pop out!!! No audio and suddenly front n inner screen blackout!!! Utterly DISAPPOINTED!!!! My Huawei mate series still serves me well for 3 years with no issues❤

The fold 4 is the easier device to use. It's narrow. So you can easily one hand that phone.its also not as tall. So iPhone max and ultra 23 are taller and way wider which is harder to use on the go

@Shinobi the trade in is a sunk cost. I already had a paid off phone and traded it in for a $1200 discount plus the $300 or so in free stuff they give you which I resell. I've done the trade in pre order thing enough that the trade in has been a free phone for 4 generations. So yes, the fold 4 cost me $850 out of pocket minus the $250 I sold the pre-order gifts for. The fold 5 will also only cost me that much. I'm getting a flagship foldable for the same price as a mid tier galaxy s series lol gotta know how to be smart about it!

I will NEVER buy a fold from Samsung. My fold 3, one month after warranty, developed a thick black line down the middle of the main screen. It was nevered dropped, and 70% of use was on the front screen. Samsung didn't give a sh_t!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
