Saki, you are the first RU-vidr with some in depth content about the new Samsung products, very useful and well done! The comments are so full of people complaining about the hardware and that the Chinese brands are so much better. I had the Oneplus for 10 months and I am leaving it for the Fold 6. The software experience is just so much better on the Fold as well as the ecosystem with the watch.
Went to Best Buy and had my Z Fold 4 and the new Z Fold 6 side by side. It's much slimmer and lighter, but outside of that, everything felt the same. Thought about it for a min and couldn't justify paying nearly $900 (including trading in my Fold 4) for this.
The issue is that when you do upgrade the trade in will be less, so I traded my ZF4 for ZF6. Every two years it's not bad I got it for about 800 total after taxes.
I`'ll already pre-ordered. Am upgrading from the Fold 4. Yes, the Honor might be thinner but this is the complete package. Also, Honor = Huawei and might fall under restrictions anytime. Too much risk for a pricey device. The sightly wider front display is a great compromise. You'll have a one-hand device on the front and a two-hand device when unfolded. What more do you want?
I'm coming from a Note 10+ to this fold. I'm in need of the multi-tasking abilities now. The One Plus Open was an option, but I'm a Samsung guy. Waiting for my preorder to arrive. Will refer back to your vid when I get it.
Just ordered my fold 6, upgrading from a 4. The 1000 credit, free storage bump and free 1 year protection is too good to pass up. Only cost 900 shipped
don't forget they still didn't equip Fold 6 with S24 Ultra camera on it, instead they put a weaker S24+. $1800 - $2000 phone but didn't have the best equipment. Madness.
because it was made for business . thats why samsung has lot of choices. you buy what you need in your career. why the hell busy business man would want an s24 ultra , just for the pen only and he aint use no camera at all which is unworthy of his purchase. also, with cheap camera it cost very expensive. imagine with s24 ultra camera and sensor. it would have cost even higher. s24 ultra as is , very costly as well, if they equipped with leica or zeiss camera and sensor. i dont think people could afford it. @@andresinaga9885
Vowed to never pay more than $300 for a cell phone 7 years ago. Getting $1027 for trading in on my 3 year old A53 5G towards this Fold 6, guess it's time to spend more than $300 once again after 7 years. It was a good budget run.
Can I ask how you received so much on your A53? I have the same phone currently and on the Samsung site, it doesn't even show up on the list when trading in your old phone.
Your reviews are the most detailed when it comes to Samsung devices 👍🏼. You have mentioned that the Z Fold 6 is dust resistant now, I was under the impression that only the Z Flip 6 has been upgraded for dust resistance not the Fold 6. Could you please confirm if this is the case. Cheers
It's insane how Samsung has managed to pack so much technology into such a small and affordable device. This can literally be your everything device. Your phone, your laptop, and your desktop (DeX). I'm not surprised Samsung is struggling to keep up with pre-order demand.
just 1 question. is the fingerprint sensor work as a n option to pull down notification pannel unlike the fold 5? that will be the only reason for me to upgrade from fold5. since there is no spen housing within the chasis and no other remarkable new feature.
Why do most reviews only compare it to Fold5 !! while usually people take 2 to 3 years to update their phones? so need to make a comparison with Fold 3 and Fold 4.
I pre-ordered the fold six, flip six and the watch ultra. Trading in fold five and watch five pro and flip 5.. I have an important question I've been having trouble getting answers for. I've been using the s penfold edition which is the larger s pen. I was told that will work on the fold 6 but I've ordered two different cases and they both only hold the smaller s pen. Can someone confirm that the larger fold addition s pen will work on the fold 6! Also if someone knows of a case that is fairly rugged and holds the s pen near the hinge, please post a link. @@harubrahmantya7261 The problem I'm having is finding a good case that holds the larger fold edition pen. The same exact case that I bought last year for the five held the bigger pen. The same exact case for the fold six only holds the smaller pen. Frustrating big time! I hate using that little pen lol. If you haven't used it before the bigger pen is pretty much the size of a normal pencil. Much easier to hold and use
using the Spen from samsung case - can this still be used to take photo with pen? - is there any difference from the pen with the case say V S22 ultra pen?

Im so tired of ai bull, lol. I know it's everywhere but it's annoying Samsung has gone balls deep in it. I would much rather have better cameras, s-pen housing and faster charging. Samsung tends to obsess about this stuff and then leave it behind for apple to pick up. Remember the 360 camera? I still have mine but can't use it because Samsung doesn't support it. My vr goggles are sitting on my closet, womp. Let's hope they loose steam on this and do what customers actually want. Yeah, I'm gonna sketch something and then ai it to a cartoon, wtf...😂
@brianmizway9324 not only that but also 7 years of software support. A lot of Chinese companies drop their phones after the first 2-4 years of support.
@@rhandee08 in terms of hardware, I’d trust a Samsung 6th generation over any imitation, full stop. And while you can download different skins, those skins aren’t going to provide timely updates to your device. That’s just me though 🤷
Esim doesn't have a slot, it's digital...Fold 6 has one physical sim card slot but you might see like an extra slot but it'll be covered up on the tray, it's basically a useless slot!
The fold 6 needed a bigger front screen, bigger battery , 45 to 65 w fast charging, the dark corning non reflective glass, s pen outer screen, it was alright but incremental and I might wait until fold 7 or fold 6 slim. The software is excellent but the hardware needs work . I might get the book 4 pro 360 laptop or tab s10 instead. Its true Honor is winning w Huawei, Xiaomi , One Plus and Vivo in hardware. Its strange because the s24 ultra and my s23 ultra have good hardware. For me I'd rather buy the pro 360 4 laptop since I need a new laptop after my surface book 2 died and even despite wanting a foldable I will wait for fold 6 slim or fold 7 ultra until I get sufficient hardware simultaneously However , I will say when j tested the inner screen w the s pen and used sketch to image that was a very cool innovative software feature and I hope my tab s8 and s23 ultra get it too

Congrats Samsung on releasing the z fold 4 for the 3rd year in a row. What a joke. Bought the vivo x fold 3 pro and it came with a case and charger. $500 less than zfold 6. Never going back to Samsung as they have now become Apple and no real competition in the US aside from Oneplus
Absolutely waste of money. Fold and flip phone internal screen gets cracks after 7 to 8 months. My phone and all my friends phones same issue. Very disappointed. Too pricey. When it is fold too small to use. When open it is too big to use on the go. Camera not that great. Will never buy the fold phone. Don't fall for paid promoters.
Saw it at Best buy, very ugly looking phone. Still too damn skinny and the price is outrageous. Nothing new about it except AI crap that I don't need. Way too many other folding devices that are wider and thinner and look much better. Fake Reviewers have to say it looks good and worth buying so they can keep getting demo units sent to them. Last year foldable with minor updates and no upgrades.
Gezzzzzzzzz 1,899k for a phone that will deprecate in a year is really an outrage. Is it time to start, boycotting Apple and Samsung until they lower their price.
