How to improve battery life of your Gear S3 smart watch - In this video I'll quickly show you the top 10 tips and tricks to increase the battery life of your samsung gear S3 smart watch. I usually get around 2 days of battery life with max everything, I mean max brightness, bluetooth on, wifi on, location on and etc on my gear s3 classic. If you want to increase your battery life to 3 days, use the first 5 tips in this video! If you want to further increase your battery life (and battery performance) to 5 days or more, use all of the 10 tips in this video but be prepare to sacrifice some of the cool features of your smart watch!!

I did not expect these tips to make as dramatic a change as they did!! My watch was barely lasting 4.5 hours no joke. Today I did all the tips except the raise to wake one, and my watch is at 67% after a full days use. Thank you! This was very helpful!!!

Leaving it charging at l00% and draining battery to zero both shorten life They say keep it between 20 and 80 % I run everything to the max and it burns 40 % a day .Ij just charge mine for half hr or so in the evening most days seems to work welll .Never knew about this before and always charged my phone overnight and that wont last l2 hrs now btw

WTF. I can't get a single day out of mine. And it's basically just out of the box, with flipboard uninstalled, and Auto HR off. I go to sleep with it at maybe 75% battery, and wake up and the battery is dead. Every time. What is going on...

That's weird! Even without using any optimization (with max settings) you should be able to get 1.5 to 2 days of battery life! What kind of watch face do you use? Did you tried factory reset?

Wow that's a huge battery drain! It's definately not normal! Did you tried to close of all the background applications and use a stock watch face? what kind of applications you have on your watch? You can always try a factory reset to see if it was a software issue or not. If factory reset doesn't work, there is something wrong with your battery!

OK. So here are the problems I'm having. Please not that I already sent my watch into Samsung for repair (The motherboard and battery have been replaced). 1. The watch has poor battery life. I will get about 12-14 hours on a charge. I used to get days on a single charge. 2. The watch overheats on the cradel while charging. A message will come up that the watch needs to cool off before it can charge anymore. It will actually discharge on the cradle. How crazy is that! The only way I can charge the watch is to power the unit off or put it in low power mode. 3. I constantly have to re-pair the watch with my phone. Everytime I walk away from my phone, the watch will disconnect and will not fully connect until I pair the watch with the phone again. This is really annoying. My phone showes there's a bluetooth connection but not fully paired with the Samsung Gear App. I don't get any notifications or calls... Samsung. I don't want to keep mailing my watch to Texas. I'm pretty sure this is all a software issue that started with Tizen 3.0. Could you either replace my watch or send out another patch? I'm tired of this issue. I really like the watch but the bugs are getting out of hand...

I have everything set to off. Wifi, location, always on display, nfc, svoice and heart rate monitor and I barely get 2.5 days

It's a little bit weird. What kind of watch face do you use and what is the brightness level? I can easily get +3 days with always-on display and wifi on!

AshooYashar TV even more so noe since I wrote to you I've changed to a dark watch face that saves battery and I even put it on greyscale and I still barely push a full 3 days.

I increased my battery life by returning it.... it sucked.. 10.7% drainage per hour with no apps added..

Good tips, but why buy one of these if you are going to turn off everything that makes it different from a regular watch ? I own one, but it really was a gimmick watch as the coolest thing is that you can change watch faces and use it to make and receive phone calls. When the battery isn't working right, watch one of the videos on how to change the battery and see if that helps. The watch works fine, but the battery won't last long if you use it like your cell phone. Not the best purchase I ever made. But still fun. Don't expect too much with these. They aren't meant to replace your cell phone with all the apps and music player, GPS, etc. And don't waste your money on the stand alone version. This can't replace your cell phone.

+Starsky 83 Some of these tips doesnt effect your experience that much like turning off auto HR. You can still have most of the benefits while getting a better battery life
