I recently purchased the Samsung mx t70, I appreciate the sound quality over bass. But like you mentioned for $700 way over price. Ultimately what made me choose the mx t70 was the looks , it just look more high end looks nice in my living room
Thanks for the comment and watching, I appreciate it. The Samsungs are a nice looking speaker compared to many of the others and the sound quality is good. But I'm glad you agree they're a bit pricey.
LG ok75 consistently giving a very nice bass, I'm having goosebumps when he pump the bass🤣. Im your #1 fan rob. Speaker lover here🙋♂️. Hope to be greeted in your next battle for our ok75.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I don't think anything can stand up to the lg's in their price range. It's a shame the ok's have been discontinued.
The MX T70 is a great speaker. Definitely not for bass heads, it has quite accurate bass with no excessive colouring in the lower region. Sounds very hifi too, you actually get proper soundstage and imaging, something that most party speakers disregard. There is a speaker for everyone, and this is for the ones that are actually looking for sound quality besides bass. I was blown away by how it sounded in the store. Classy lookin little floorstander.
Yeah it's a nice unit but not worth the 700 dollar price tag. If you want sound quality you can do much better for 700 bucks, it is pretty though. 700 bucks for mono sound is way too much, 1400 for two speakers is way too much, when you can get a 7.2 surround system for less.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos yup... they are 350usd here. And the v90dw is around 620usd, which makes it a steal. God damn, why are the prices so jacked up over there? But then again, the bloody PB1000 is 1350usd here. Which makes it easy for me to choose. 2 x V90DW will shit on the PB1000. Lmao!
Wonderful Rob....great reviews...was planning to buy a good speaker...after hearing ur reviews looks like Ok75 is def choice....but little confused between ok75 and ok99....do help...i m from India ...will really appreciate your help......thanks man...
ok99 is bigger and louder. It's pretty awesome, but you want to go by how big of an area you'll be using it. Anything smaller than 20 ft. x 20 ft. the 75 will suffice. Bigger room or outside, you want the 99.
Hey The OL 100 is available in India too. It's a better speaker than the ok series. It has Meridian sound and anything lg makes with meridian sounds great. It's also a little more powerful than the ok99. Its 2000watts the ok75 is 1000watts and the 99 is 1800watts.
Hello sir, came back coz I finally decided to buy my speaker 😁 which one do you think is better? LG RN5 OR Samsung T70? We do not have OK75 in my country btw. Also, I am more on bass than treble.
Depends what you're looking for. The Samsung wins for volume, bass and features the LG wins it, styling has to go to the Samsung. Overall I like the LG for partying because of the lower price, features and strobes. Now, where are you located? The ok75 may not be available anymore.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Hi, thanks for your answer. I'm from Colombia, there're still some existences in sale of LG. Here in Colombia the price difference is not significant, only 26.23 dollars but as i appreciate in your videos LG Bass is better than Samsung and i'm more interested in that, i believe. It's gonna be my first speaker.
@@jesusgetial2665 You're welcome, excellent. There are new models available in S. America. I can't remember the Series Number. May be OL, ON or RO. Every region has there own series. The new series that are out have much better sound quality than the OK series. If you can find it buy it.
Rob do you think lg will make another speaker as good as the ok75. Is the rn7 as good or should I get the one above it if they make another one in the rn series
They make an ON9 available in S. America and I think Europe and India. But it doesn't have Mids on it. One of my viewers likes his ok75 better. As for will they make something like the 75 again, I don't know, but from what I understand the OL100 is available in some countries and that thing is better than the ok99.
@@jann8490 For 300 bucks it's really worth it. At the higher volumes it loses some of the bass but it so much more speaker than the 310 it's worth that price. The 310 probably goes lower and you can feel it more but it's only 30 or 40% as loud. So when the Samsung is at 50% volume you would barely hear the 310.
What do you mean it's getting heat? It's getting hot itself? If you feel heat coming out of the back where the grooves are it's normal. Normal as long as it's not burning hot. The speaker has an amplifier in it and will have a cooling fan, the grooves is where you should feel the warm air leaving the unit. If it feels very hot, something may be wrong.
LG OK75 sounds boomy to much low end it don't sound musicaly. Samsung have perfect clear mid and high range with tight bass what gives better vibe. anywaay if you want compare speakers they should stand in the same place in the room because of acoustics. LG stand more in corner that's why the low end seems to be louder
Thanks for the comment. The speakers are exactly the same distance from the corners and the camera stays in the same location for each speaker, I just rotate it. The Lg has MUCH better bass and it has an on board EQ, to adjust the highs, mids and lows. For comparison sake I had both speakers on standard with the bass boost on. The LG has way more boom, but you can adjust that down and turn the mids and highs up if you prefer it that way. I wish the LG was as stylish as the Samsung, but otherwise it's a better speaker for almost 300 bucks less. Trust me I was shocked I thought the Samsung was gonna destroy the LG, but it just didn't. Samsung needs to put a better woofer in their system. I can't find the frequency response on it but the LG goes way lower. So far I haven't found a better speaker for the price. The only speaker I love just as much is the UE Hyperboom, it's sounds amazing, but it's the same price as the lg and probably only has 1/3rd the volume. Check out my OK75 and OK99 in depth feature review to see all the features the lg has. It's a shame lg has discontinued the ok's as they are the best speakers I've tested.
The Samsung has maybe a little better sound quality, maybe 10% better so not much. They're probably about the same loudness, but Sony has much more powerful bass. If it were me I would buy another Sony. You get more for your money, including tons of features and way cool lighting.
I just got t70 and I love the sound while watching movies but I am disapointed in the bass. I wonder if the outputs will let me hook a 12 in woofer I have ?????
@@AbsoluteFidelity Yep I did all that, tested every level. The bass just stinks on it over 60% volume. Not anywhere low enough and it rolls off at higher volumes. Still a nice speaker for lower volumes but I would never pay over 450 for it.
Oh the Samsung is way louder, but they're two very different kinds of speaker. The JBL has better bass, it'll go way lower. Plus it's highly portable with a battery, wheels and a handle. The Samsung is more a set it and forget speaker and it has nice style for the living room. It's a nice speaker, but not worth the 700 dollar retail, don't spend more than 550 on it. The JBL I would say it's an okay price for the sound and the battery life, but try to find it on sale, I'd say 450 is a fair price for the jbl, but the 500 dollar retail is not far off.
Thanks for the question. It's great, several of my friends have bought them since hearing mine. If you really wanna blast it look at the OK99, that thing is insane! Check it out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5lLrR91kkDw.html
Well, if you really wanna be blown away from the face of this Earth, get the lg ok99. it is way louder and it has a bigger woofer so it is more rigid and has way more bass. imagine if you could pair two of them together
One thing for sure... Lg xboom is way better than others Features- wow.... Tons of features as compared to others Price - reasonable (compare to others its affordable) Build quality - awsome Looks - nc(n tht rgb lights wow) Sound - not so good bt its nc ....once u adjust equilizer its vry much pretty Bass - in my opinion best in class and also compare to high end speakers. And one thing... I love ur videos.... Thnks
Thank you sir, I appreciate the compliment. I totally agree with you, lg has done a spectacular job on their speakers. Pretty much every category I've tested lg is close to the top.
Hey thanks for the review. I can get here Samsung MX-T70 for 360 USD and JBL Partybox 1000 for 900 USD. Which one do you recomend me? I want a speaker for some home partys and karoake in my yard. Thanks!!
You sure it's not your speakers? It sounds great on my pc speakers. If not I guess you'll have to try and take my word for it. I am very honest with my viewers and always try to be informative as I can. In my opinion the Samsung is overpriced for what you get. Again that's my opinion, I like Samsung but they should have put a better woofer in the system for the price.
But if you want to go with just bass then might as well buy a Dj speaker for me Samsung wins overall performance way more clear than LG just my opinion
Yeah it had better clarity than the ok75 but let me down on the bass and price. LG's new RN series will wreck it though, I put the small rn5 up against the PB 300 and it matched it for clarity and beat it up on bass. Check out the video, it's my most recent up load. I'm excited to get the rn7 next. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l2NvDtMsmt8.html&t=
Robs reviews and demos like I said if you base your review on just bass and not clarity then why don’t you just get a Dj speaker and call it a day. To me it’s worth it because of the balanced clarity and base plus it very simple and elegant in the box it comes in. Maybe you are right on the price alil but I can see any one pick this up easy for a 560$ 600$ easy
Can you pair the MX-T70 with a Samsung TV via Bluethoot? My intention is to watch RU-vid karaoke and be able to sing, so both the music and voice get mixed on the speaker
