Thanks for listening my friend! I came to you because i have just replaced the screen on a friend's Samsung J3 (2016) and immediately had the screen flickering/vertical lines issue. I obviously thought I have a faulty screen until I looked into it and it would seem that this is a well known issue with the J series of phones. So I then wanted to know whether I can fix this issue because I really didn't want to spend yet more money on another screen. And that is what led me to discover your channel! So i am guessing that the issue is some kind of short? And you are spreading that grease (?) over the chipset in order to isolate it? In my case if I put pressure on the chipset on the other side, the side without the ribbon cable, it will settle the flicker down until its gone, however if I take the pressure away, the flicker returns. What on earth is going on here? And do you think some replacement screens are simply faulty? perhaps I should just buy another one? Or would that be pointless as the actual mother board is actually the component that is at fault? Thanks in advance for any help you pass my way (-:

Flickering because of fol damage or tightly pressed display surface only the to reasons for Flickering display. Once damaged display internal Filaments never joint or repair.. so stop making fake videos on Display flickering ok.

possible solution; put brightness to maximum for 1 month and when you can't use maximum brightness then turn the brightness to minimum and put it back on as soon as you can. Puting the brightness in the middle that is when screen display is doing the most work because it has to give the brightness you requested and usually after some years the phone starts to have flickering problem because of it. Puting the brightness to maximim the screen display will get the back the balance it needs and will stop flicker.
