Good work. It's an old video but it worth watching it. Because learning never ends. The strw6053 I know now how to make the connection by your expectations. Thanks a lot
Always seems to me that you don't leave enough time for the component legs to heat up when you solder something. Is there any chance of the solder not gripping the component leg further into the solder joint which you cannot see? Love your videos and the speech is better and more understandable than a lot of other vids. Can you also put a link into here where you explain how the PWM has a voltage even when the main capacitors are not charged? I know there is an initial circuit, I just cannot remember how that initial circuit works? Thank you.
From Africa (Zambia)I really follow your explanation Sir, but apart from the STRW6053, is there another STR type you can use to modify the led TV power supply
Great video quick question. Where do u order your STRW6053N ? I need a good supplier. I recieved some that were not working. Please let me know thanks Tevz
Is STRW6053N a 6pin or a 7pin Ic because in the video you keep on referring to pin7 which according to data sheet online and even from the video does not exist. Any way you are my teacher and master. I love your videos their educate me a lot. Thanks master.
Sir I watched lots of your videos, and as your are an expert in repairing TVs I was wondering if you an help me out, I Have a 50 inch Samsung Plasma TV which has a Vertical Black Lines Appeared on it some time ago, I just wanted to check if there are some loose connection on the board below the back of TV panel (X-board maybe) and cleaned it a little, but just another vertical line appeared which is not black but is a little noisy gray line ... can you help me what to do, and what is the source of problem ?!
why don't you use flux for your soldering ? it makes joint more clean and factory like shapes and also makes the bonds harder and makes soldering much easier
But for real, tevz what did you consider to take that ic you usually replace with.(6053n ) in the different repairs you make,. What is the trick behind that ic , otherwise you became my role model,
Hello Tevz, Good day sir, how are you doing? I have been doing this your modifications and so far it has been working for me until yesterday I had a sad experience on a 42" LG LED TV. I follow every step and the TV got the necessary voltages I powered on the TV without backlight it came on without problems because the LED strips had issues. After replacing the LEDs I turned on the TV it came on for about 2 minutes, then the STR exploded. So is it that the 42" is too much for the STR to handle or the component is not original? And I really love your video,. Please can you tell me what video editor software you use? And how do you add the voice over the video. For all I know, your video is one of the best in RU-vid. Lastly, I've seen your videos on memory IC flash. I have the RT809H programmer that I used in flashing. Removing the chip can some time destroy the board or the chip due to heat. So I prefer using through the VGA port for those board with VGA ports. So my problem is when dealing with EMMC chips. Can you make a video on how to read and write EMMC files, through HDMI? The full process including how to enable UART. It better and faster if you don't have EMMC pin out of that board. Thanks
The STR can handle up to 200 watts. Maybe you use a not original STR so it explodes, or check other components that may be causing the failure. I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro and the voiceover is the Windows narrator. not all EMMCs can be uploaded through HDMI or VGA.
@@tevzTVTevatronics Yeah so I thought, the STR may not be original, I don't think another component is faulty otherwise it wouldn't have come on. So I believe the STR is not original. As for the EMMC, the China board with Android firmware can do that. So I will like you to make any video showing how to read and write EMMC files through HDMI. Thanks for the information
Dear, pls advice for fault PSU as found a short circuit resistor that by seq. color coding: orange, white, gray, gold, violet seem must be 3900M Ohm as rarely in market, positin at hot circuit after bulk capacitor, my led tv brand: TIT TLD-29S63, thank a lot for reply
@tevzTVTevatronics my tv that I installed the STRW6053N was having periodically hiccups. I just need some time to see exactly what is happening there. I suspect another circuit is trying to switch on. Something like the secondary power supply for the led drive and this results in the standby power supply momentarily switching off. If that makes sense. Could also be the PFC circuit causing this. Not sure.
Pozdrawiam z Polski. Instead of a fuse, I use a resistor, not a resistor, but a 60-75W tungsten bulb. If there is a short circuit in the system, the bulb lights up, and if everything is OK, it doesn't. I think it's a better way than yours. Greetings from Poland.
Hello, I am Abdurrahman from Türkiye. Technical knowledge, your practice is great, but I don't like your workmanship, the design and eye appeal are almost non-existent.
He has great workmanship, he does not has enough time and he does not want more tool. Simple tool and still do anything you need, it’s great workmanship, his customer doesn’t need eye appeal.
