With so many reviewers concentrating on 'the latest and greatest' you are a breath of fresh air in concentrating on cameras from earlier years. The only problem you may encounter is sourcing good examples to review. As well as the NX Mini with the 9mm Prime, and 9-27mm Zoom, I have a Pentax Q with the kit 02 Zoom, a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-R1, and a Konica Minolta Dimage A2. I look forward to future reviews.

Can’t wait to see your views of the Pentax Q ILC system. The range of lenses with built-in leaf shutter and ND are fab. Manual physical controls are great too. More fun IMO than the NX Mini which I also have.
Thank you for bribging up this camera even in 2020. The camera is worthy of others attention given its compact, practical and fun to use. I actually own 9mm and the 17mm and they are both spectacular in their own means. 9mm is compact and act like lens cap, while 17mm is sharp edge to edge wide opens. Instead of using one body, I now own 2x nx minis so i dont need to switch lens but carry at all. Sadly, the 9-27 is built poorly and was broke long ago.
@@jamesbann3577 try to see if the lens and focus and operate at wide and tele ends. Rotate the zoom barrel at all focal length to make sure it is working properly. when purchased, it would be better to just leave the lens extended instead of collapsed as frequent deploy and collapse the lens is known to wear its flimsy rubbon cable, causing it to rapture.

The recent popularity of these as collector cameras kinda ruins these for me. The appeal for me isn't the quality of what it can do - its the novelty and the current going prices are too much given the more functional alternatives. I already have a RX100 4 - that has a sharper lens, wider zoom range, faster aperture (even against the NX mini's prime lenses) and it has a viewfinder to boot.
So glad I found your channel but I'm also sad you're driving up prices and awareness on some cameras I've been wanting to buy... for the right price . Great content though 👌
This is a small channel, I don't believed it so. But Mattias Burling's channel, I love his reviews, but his reviews of "cheap" cameras increases the price in the used market. Pentax q was one example of that.
Hi I really liked your video. I am trying to use my samsung nx mini to transfer images into my iphone. when I connect to the cameras wifi and then open the camera app, it tells me that im not connected to a samsung camera network. do you happen to havge a solution to this?
Hi I can give you a walkthrough of how I do it. I am using the app "Samsung smart camera app" on android 10 (but should work on iOS too). I start the camera, push the wifi button and select "select files on smartphone" on the camera. Then I connect to the wifi of the camera on my smartphone. When then opening the app I can choose which files to copy. Hope that helps...Cheers, Andi
Hi! Try a firmware update. It is quite easy and well documented on the samsung website. All the others are just not quite so compact and handy...imho. Good luck!
I bought it from the same camera, I bought a 32gb micro sd card to shoot longer video, but when I press the video button, it shows 30 minutes. Do you have any information on how to extend it?
Hi Ersan! I'm afraid there is nothing you can do. For legal/fiscal reasons the recording time of digital cameras was nutered in the EU since 2007. Manufacturers had to set the max. video rec time to 30 min. otherwise those cameras would have had to be declared as camcorders (+4.9% taxation). So you can record several blocks of 29: 59 min. HD Video after another until your card is full. There are some modern cameras today that allow more but at the time of the Samsung NX Mini 29:59 was the rule. Cheers Andi

Hi! When making tech videos you maybe want something with a mic port and a little more direct control. If you have a small budget I'd suggest the Lumix GH2 oder even the original Canon EOS M. Both have 24P 1080p capability and both have mic jacks.
If you measure "prefer" in times used then the winner is the Pentax Q S1. It also has imho the better and more versatile lenses. In terms of form factor and connectivity the NX mini wins though. IQ is on par I suppose.
@@quirkycams4965 Thank you for your answer. And what do you think in terms of image and video quality and portability (a strong point in both). When I compare photo samples on Flickr the nx seems to be better for me, but I don’t know if it’s only perception.
@@sergiomeluk in terms of portability the NX is more compact especially with the 9mm prime. The NX also has higher resolution so IQ can look a bit crisper but both are fine for online distribution of pics. Video: the NX wins hands down.
