@Best Guy I honestly don't know what to do. I have KS8500. And it has a bad panel now. I'm offered to buy new Q90R at around 60% off! Still a lot of money. Or I can wait many months for a replacement panel, and then maybe buy LG OLED C9 when it arrives to my country (Sept).
@Best Guy What about the super low brightness, worse reflections, crushed black detail, Auto Backlight Limiter, HDR being weaker and less highlights and color pop, and most troubling: burn in and retentions!? (Basing on Rtings and HDTVTest
Triscuit H It’s not even that blue in person. Most cameras make the OLED’s look blue on video. Has some to do with adjusting to the ambient lighting and lack of backlighting on am OLED. Most reviewers will mention that it doesn’t look blue in person but they “failed” to mention it.
Rodrigo Freijanes hmm T.V are expected to last longer. A phone I want to last at least 2~3 years but television I want it to last 5+. A television we want to watch movies so its kinda more important visually. Television has a different role compared to a phone.
This commercial is crap. You will never experience this. Maybe that was image retention but not burn in. Starting with the 6 series OLED (from 2016) the pannels are greatly improved. The fact that Samsung makes a point of OLED burn when they themselves pushed OLED as a smartphone screen just shows how desperate they are to make people buy they subpar technology. Samsung could have focused on making OLED tv's themselves but they are too late in the game to come up with something as good as LG. Just like LG is late in the game of making smartphone OLED. They are good, but under Samsung. If yoy can't beat them, shit in them. :D There are still plenty of people that will buy QLED, and I agree they are goof TV's, but should sell for 60-70% of OLED price.
Definitely, OLED is so much better! In the video, it was a controlled environment to make QLED look better. We won’t fall into it. I rather believe my own eyes. As I stated above, OLED is so much better!!
Peppermint Patty that’s not even a big problem anymore, LG reduced the white subpixels which were getting burned in very easily, this test was on a C7 from 2017 (before the upgraded version), the C9 and CX will be very protected from burn in
Nope. OLED doesn’t burn. That’s biased reflex. OLEDs has a very bright image (although Samsung has cranked up that to the point it’s a Blue TV). QLED Is matte. Don’t believe this bullshit - BUUUUT, for Gaming I’d definitely go with QLED because it’s more comfortable. Everything and anything else in terms of media consumption I’d go OLED. That’s how I actually roll.
@@iker7853 Are you serious LOL?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!? Blue color is the worst. It's not good for eyes, It doesn't show accurate colors so you lose color, and it looks really bad. People even recommend warm 2 because It's close to real life (when only sun is coloring). It's natural. You need to get used to it so it looks bad at first but it's much better than blue. It also appears more bright so in dynamic mode it's mostly set to cool (blue) mode to make it more appealing. But you lose so much color accuracy. I use the standard mode because warm is too much. If people that didn't get used to warm comes to your house, it will look weird so use it at standard or maybe warm (warm 1, warm 2)
Oled (organic led) has individual diodes and no backlight. So of course if you play 12 hours straight of a videogame the portion of the screen that doesn't change and that had to be individually lit (the HUD) will have burned. But then again, we use OLED based Samsung AMOLED screens on our phones all the time (the only difference being when the diodes are lit as they are lit electronically) for greater amounts of time (myself, over 12 hours in this pandemic, lying ony bed) and we don't notice these burns, why? Because they disappear. They are not permanent. Unless you are using your TV for extended periods of time several times in the span of a few weeks. Otherwise you will notice them but after several years, like with any other TV.
@Aliver87 but in the night the black is black. I had a oled tv and it depends from the scene. There some dark scene that we have dark grey color and black color.
This video comparison it's a BS! The Oled panel it's much brighter than what they shows you in this video. They only showing it like that just to make their Qled look nicer. I'm a big fan of Samsung but this video doesn't reflect the truth.
I would go with oled. Each subpixel is powered by itself thus it can completely turn off, giving an almost infinite contrast, deep blacks, and rich whites. Nothing will ever beat Apples Xdr display and AMOLED phones though.
Need this test in 2020 , technology is improved so much . No screen burning issues right now work OLED technology. Can you compare now with 2020 models?
@@RU-vid_Police_Goku Oww someone doesn't know we were the richest before invasions and even after giving out so much to the world we still have a lot here, thanks to God. And don't worry, don't get jealous of us, bcoz we're gonna take over soon. See u in future. Making videos 'how to spray like Scout' what an ironical life do u live. Well idgaf.
OLED is in his infancy. In 8-10 years you can buy an OLED. i want to use it also as a frame for photos and paintings, burn-ins are there a no go. you buy a tv for round about 10 years and burn-in danger is too big for me. OLED has a little bit better black, QLED has a better white. If you see comparisons, you'll find that OLEDs have too much color saturation. People love the strong colors. But QLED's colors are closer to real life. Ask yourself at every picture comparison: How would it look in real?
OLED is organic and fades out over time, giving a weaker overall experience. It looks better, but also darker. QLED has no problems and is brighter, but picture quality and HDR is not as good as OLED. Both technologies is still great if you think about what tv's could deliver before the flat screen era.
So you use oled on your phone and brag about it but don't have enough yield result to mass produce oled tv and given a gimmick qled name to regular lcd tv and charging a bomb for it
you are wrong dude qled has all the merits of oled and ips screens it is burn proof and has deep and saturated colours like oled but still blacks are little more black on oled but i can compromise little dark black with the saturated colours and ability to net get burn

Great Job.... Compare a 2015 or 2016 OLED with a 2018QLED. Why? Because in the Beginner Stadium off OLEDs the Risk of Burn in is High, and the Second thing is that OLEDs from 2014/15/16 are not so bright like the OLEDs from 18/19. Also OLEDs from 18/19 don't have burn in after one 12hour Playtime. Do a Comparison between 2019 QLED and 2019 OLED and you will see. I have a 2018 LG OLED bought in January 2019 and I play also 6-12hour a day and there is no burn in Issues
Sony's 2019 OLED lineup didn't turn out to have burn in issues. But I don't think anyone gamed on it for 12 hours straight, that's crazy and doesn't represent real life usage!
Alot of things can cause the burn in issue. This isn't a fair comparison since we did not see a calibration if the two TVs shown in the video. One looked too blue the other looked warm. An improperly calibrated set can cause burn in on televisions. I've been to electronic stores that try to sell TVs and zoom in on a TV show to make it full screen because of the black bars of a lower resolution show. That can also cause image burn. Artificial processing like dynamic contrast, motion enhancement, basically anything that makes the TV get too hot or overwork itself can cause image burn. This is just marketing gimmicks.
All the comments are bashing Samsung and praising oled, I love it because it means people actually know what the better technology is, even Samsung is working on a QDOLED (quantum dot oled) so they know it's the future of tvs.
I have the Philips OLED 935 and it’s fantastic, way way better than QLED. And when you’re gaming for 12 hours straight, the OLED’s not the real problem.
I bought a plasma panasonic 8 years ago and the screen still like new and have an oled since 3 years ago and still like new. Used both for movies and videogames
