I got the QN90A 75" last year and I'm very happy with it but I wish I had more than 1 HDMI 2.1 port. I wish I could snap my fingers and swap my 90A for the 90B.
The QN90B is a very good TV so far. Bright as hell. Blooming is so minimal that at times it comes pretty close to OLED. The black level is beautiful and deep black. Don't be fooled, this one really comes close to OLED! The sound of the TV itself is very good for a reasonably flat TV. Dolby Atmos is great. Convenient Home menu with clear place for your favorite apps. It all works intuitively and quite smoothly. The Tv comes with a very handy and light remote that charges itself with a solar cell or via usb c. So no more searching for batteries. The build quality is very good as we have come to expect from Samsung. Finally the central support is back.... A very heavy solid metal support. In short...here a very satisfied Samsung QE65QN90B user. 😉
hey, could you pls confirm that you can sync 2 bluetooth headphones with it? I just bought a sony a90k which is more expensive and doesn't have that. I'm considering to return it
This review proves to me that all those years people were saying Oled is bright enough , its fine, dont worry use a dark room its amazing etc... Now when we see how the brightness brings a new experience all these last fanboy comments are obsolete. I have a C8, C9 , A80J and sure dark levels are great, HDR is just not great. HDR needs brightness by definition so Oled is not great in HDR its great cause of black levels wich are constantly present outside and inside HDR.
@@alllivesmatter3561 I can say on HDR when they put flashlights in my face and things like that my C1 can definitely make me squint in a dark room. For sdr is gets bright enough to make my eyes water in the right scene. TV show today or way brighter than they've ever been and we've literally never had complaints until companies started trying to shove brightness onto us. I'll take screen uniformity, perfect blacks and most importantly no blooming, over brightness LCD's can't have perfect black and bright things next to each other which inherently makes it bad for HDR. Neither tech is perfect for HDR. They just do it differently in terms of strength and weakness
Okay, I just got this TV today and it's absolutely amazing! I spent a LONG time researching a screen that I could use as a great monitor for my new Mac mini, game on (console) and watch shows and movies etc. This TV has NOT let me down. I thought the 43" would be too large on my desk, but it's great. Smart TV functionality is really beautiful, my PS4 Pro looks INCREDIBLE on it, and most importantly, the brightness and clarity on my Mac mini rivals apple's iMac screens. I managed to grab this TV for £750 which is a steal. Highly highly recommend for anyone looking for something similar! Only issue I had was no AUX jack, but I managed to pick up a cheap bluetooth receiver for my analogue speakers and it works no issue.
I received my QN90B this week and I'm not saying this because I just bought it but WOW.....It is pretty impressive. I've been looking for areas to pick apart over the last few days I honestly can't find many but I will list them here. 1) Totally agree on the user interface. It's not horrible but it's certainly not the smoothest out there. Lots of room for improvement which I hope will be rectified in a firmware update. 2) The Smart Things App is a bit finicky. I was able to complete the professional calibration from my Iphone but there were several times with the app just would not connect. 3) This is not a knock on the TV but I have given up on the live stream thing. I really wanted to like RU-vid tv and I will say it is overall a decent alternative to cable but too often times especially while watching sports (baseball for now) it just LOOKS like a stream with fading resolution or motion blur or judder. To me it is just too annoying and a deal breaker. I am now returning to Comcast. To the Pros.....The picture is just fantastic. Bright, vibrant, amazing colors and I will says this....I am by no means an audio expert but I don't understand why so many reviewers suggest a sound bar. The sound quality is by far the best I have heard through an LED panel. Is it the true immersive theater experience? Certainly not but is much more than adequate for general tv watching. In my opinion you cannot go wrong with this TV. B You titled this video correctly. Nearly perfect Neo QLED 4K. That speaks volumes for this television.
@@tanka3347 Yes. The quality of the image is really good, but I also had to buy a soundbar, because the sound was not what I was expecting. The TV and the soundbar I bought do a great job, I’m pretty happy with my set :)
Well usually TV speakers are very very good nowadays and you can live without a soundbar just fine. I have done it in years and never complained because our ears actually get used to it. The problem is, as soon as you hear a better sound setup (with subwoofer for example), you can't go back. It's like gaming on 60 Hz or 120+ Hz or SSDs vs HDDs.
Man the Samsung looks so much better than that A90J. I had the A80J and bought a QN90a and ended up returning the Sony. The remote and UI is better on the Samsung IMO and the Picture in Picture is an awesome feature. Also the Sony had problems disconnecting from Wi-Fi frequently and I have no problems with the Samsung in the same spot. Great video as always B
I just picked up the 75” version of this tv for $2097 off “the av dudes”, free shipping, and no tax. I’d have been happy to pay that on Black Friday, so nice to see a deal like this in September.

Great review. Still I decided on the QN90A. Price difference for QN90A was $300 less than the 90B and the differences didn't justify it. Used that $300 for a sound bar & subwoofer for better sound.
The Q80B is the one to get. Half the price for an 85 inch and way more than half the performance. The QN 90b is an awesome awesome tv but I can’t believe how awesome the Q80B is side by side. The Q80B performs and has the features of a much more expensive unit. I’m blown away with how good these regular regular Qleds are they get sooo bright and vibrant and I’m impressed with how great the blacks look on this Q80B. Soooo much tv for the money and acts much more like a high grade tv than a mid grade
Please research this television’s remote control. Many people are complaining about the setup! A few have returned this tv due to the difficulties in setting it. It’s amazing none of the reviews I’ve come across covers this portion.

I picked up this qn90b 85" for a steal of a price of $800! Got it mounted above my fireplace and couldn't be Happier.. Brightness and black levels are incredible for a miniled. Pause on 6:45... I can see more details in thr background on QN90B and Oled is just black with no details of the building... Does the Oled have crushed blacks?
Very good video. Thank you very much. I just bought the QN90B in May 2023 because it was only 921€ for the 55 inch model. I was planning on buying the new QN90C in 1 year for a discount but when I looked up improvements between the 2 generations I thought why wait cause it wouldn't make that much of a difference in image quality. Why 55 inches you may ask. Well I feel like 65 inches would be better but at the same time I live in an apartment so I want to have a smaller TV just in case I move out into a smaller space one day and for easier transport. Also I feel like the bigger the screen the lesser pixel density you get. And I just love having a sharp picture.
Agreed on the lack of Dolby Vision, these Samsung TV's get way brighter and more vivid than Tv's with DV, it's kinda a joke that people rule these out when their OLED doesn't get bright enough in the first place.
@@Murphys_Law9 If you want to sit around in your pitch black room getting excited half your pixels are switched off then knock yourself out. But in real world enviroments, these provide a bright and vibrant image in even the brightest of rooms

why would you watch TV in a bright room? Also, brightness is overrated. watch a bluray disk on OLED in a moderate lit room, then come back to us. Also, Samsung is will only make mini LED or OLED going forward.

Is the DSE/banding worse or better or about same as QN90A? I’m thinking of going back to x95j just because banding is still there at least with x95j you could get mostly clean panel

Had my little heart set on the 42” c2 since the C1 has been such an amazing set but LG done messed causing a happy consumer to look elsewhere for an additional set. Still may wind up back at LG and buying a 48 C1 but seeing how some other panels stack up
I've just had my 2nd 77 a80j for about a week, and I have burn in from the GTA 5 hud (specically where the health and armor show at the bottom). I Love Sony's Processing and Look. I was playing GTA for 12 or more hours a day this week and pushed the brightness to over 45 and the contrast over 90 (47 & 93) for a few days while I had the advanced contrast enhancer set to max. I just noticed the burn in the other day on around 15% greyscale. A few hours ago I ran burn in test videos on youtube and I could see the bottom of the GTA Hud in peach and dark yellow and especially when the screen turned bright green and dark green. I am running pixel refresh now, There are those who say that OLED can't burn in., sadly this is not true. Don't believe Reddit. I don't think it's just long term image retention as it's been over 24hrs and I've run multiple burn in fix/stuck pixel vids, and they've done nothing. I love the TV, but I think I ruined it very quickly by maxing out the brightness while it was so new and playing GTA for at least 12 or more hrs a day this week with only small breaks. I have also played a few hrs of World of Tanks on xbox to see if playing another game with bright 4k HDR for a few hours would fix the GTA hud. It sadly did not. Being that it's been only a week I may call Sony. I don't think Costco will do anthing thing since I've had to fight them so hard over getting this second one.
@@micker9830 People are saying that OLED is nearly burn proof since the 2020 CX's or so. I have googled this many times, and watched many videos on this matter and internet claims that you'd have to put hundreds or thousands of hours (of normal use) to get true burn in. Mine is not going away. In a few mins I'll check and see if pixel refresh was able to fix anything.
Based on this review I ordered this tv (65") friday and will get it delivered thursday :) Have LG Oled now, but it is ruined by burn in so I want to try something different. Thank you for a great detailed review!

I've been considering a QD OLED but really don't like the lack of light in darker scenes. I'm older and my vision isn't as good as it used to be. More light is better for me. So glad to see this review, I have a 43" D8000 that's still going strong, but really starting to show it's age. I really wanted oled, but despite many improvements burn in is still an issue, yes better panels are coming but they're probably a few years away. Really looking forward to seeing what this panel can do, so yes I'm very excited it's the closest to oled I've seen 👍
Well got it, and all I can say is I'm blown away. Hdr is an interesting experience, and I can see how films and tv are geared up for it with their dark scenes that gave my older tv a hard time. But I love how it's all media centric, and no longer just a tv. I especially love the audio controls, and how I can tie in alexa along with my sony earbuds. But that panel, yeah very close to matching oled Samsung nailed it with this one for sure, I'm so glad I made the upgrade 👍
@@Huxley555 I ordered mine today. My current TV gets sooo dark when I watch some movie or series with hdr, and my eyes are not great, so I really had to get an upgrade on this matter. I hope this new TV is better than my old one (well it’s still ‘current one’ since I’ll only receive the new TV next tuesday 😅) sorry for my bad english!
Burn in really isn't that much of an issue anymore tbh. But that doesn't take away from the fact that the QN90B is amazing. I have both this and an LG C2 OLED, and both are amazing in different ways.

@@maximefernandez4311 smart calibrated it using professional mode with my S22 for my Qn95b, results are significantly good. Then I set it to Film maker mode and changed the brightness to slightly higher and set picture clarity setting to Auto. Best so far for me.
QN95B 55" will be my pick. For wall hanging and that one connect box feature. Just waiting for better prices. For daily use for simple kids channels to few movies on late evenings. Maybe i'll get a console one day too but it's not easy to get PS5 still more than a year after it's launch.
I think you nailed it when you said if you're just watching sports and news and cable. Mostly this TV is overkill.. If you're gaming and watching a lot of HDR then maybe worth paying for
Great Video as usual. It's too early to make a decision - Really interested in the Q90B Vs the Sony X95K - Typically sony's processing is better, so will be interesting to see how the 2 tv's compare and then throw in the Samsung S95B into the mix and it will be very interesting to see the results.
I'm going to wager a guess that this will still end up being the overall better buy. Particularly for those of us that game where it's already been stated that the X95K will disable local dimming in game mode with VRR enabled. And in terms of processing, I REALLY didn't expect Samsung to make the progress they did year over year. It's seeming like the 90B has Sony XR level processing. And that combined with a greater number of dimming zones means that I see the X95K having a very difficult time fully competing with this thing. And this is coming from somebody who previously had a Sony they loved and currently has a Samsung that let's just say they don't love so much lol.
@@stephenpatterson8056 That would be a shame if it turns out to be the case. Also i think the X95K is still just shipping with 2 Hdmi 2.1 ports which would be another negative compared to the Samsung. I'm guessing that the launch price will be also be a lot higher than Samsung. So i think you are right, and agree that the QN90B will be the much better buy this year or at least it will be more a case of the QN90B Vs S95B but i want a 75", so that rules out the S95B for me.

@@redshine06 The problem i guess is lack of support for Samsung's own version of Dolby Vision (HDR 10+) - Whilst more and more manufacturers are starting to support HDR10+ i think it might struggle to get traction until it's supported by Netflix.

These are on special at one of the leading online retailers where I live so I pulled the trigger and ordered the 43" version for use in my home office as a monitor. Looking forward to getting my hands on this TV in the next week. It's replacing a 3 year old Sony 43".
I am excited. I was originally going to get a OLED TV with that new brighter tech but this looks like a great compromise for the size and price. My TV is primariraly as my PC monitor. I'm modestly happy with my current Samsung 4K TV Q70R but it lacks HDMI 2.1 and I have a PS5, an Xbox Series X and a PC with an RTX 3080 that I have connected to my home theater. 4 HDMI 2.1 ports would be awesome because I'd love to use my 7.1 surround system to the fullest (I'd even upgrade to Atmos with height speakers if everything supports it).
They look like really good prospects, but it's always such a shame that manufacturers cut the tech from the smaller screen sizes, to the point where it basically becomes a step-down model. Sony are guilty of it, but this qn90b really misses out if you take the 50" model. - HDR 1500 vs HDR 2000 - Dolby Atmos Virtual vs Dolby Atmos - No anti-glare treatment below 55" !!! - Object Tracking Sound Lite vs OTS Plus The 43 and 50 have 144hz, but who is that really helping other than most ardent gamer, and still? I don't have room for a 55" TV (small Parisian apartments!), but am interested in getting something to battle the sun from my window. This qn90b will probably be better than anything else I can find, but the fact that it doesn't have the same anti-glare coating (I have no idea how good it actually is) as it's bigger brothers stings somewhat...
Dude, just buy the 55-inch if you can fit a 50 you can fit a 55-inch... Personal i think you could easily fit a 65in because these TV's are as Thin as a Cell Phone... I think you just cannot Afford it, So buy last years model it's actually better unless you are buying the QN95B that's the upgrade from last year's QN90A, the QN90B has less of everything the QN90A has... I have both and the LG C1 QN90A is only beat buy the QN95B an QN900B

I’m actually after a 48. I taped up 55 on the wall, and it’s massive. I don’t want the room to be dominated by a black square. Despite their new and lovely designs, they don’t look ‘good.’ The thickness is irrelevant - impressive as it is. It’s not a CRT, I’m not going to lose square footage. The more interesting part of your answer is about the 90a being better than the 90b. How so? The 95b is the upgrade to the 95a, the 90b is the upgrade to the 90a, unless I’ve really missed something. The 900b is too big so irrelevant for me / my original query. I’ve only started looking at these modes as fearful that the C1 won’t be bright enough for a room filled with natural light.
@@JackWhelan1988 yah, the cx, c1 & c2 even the G2 won't look good with natural light... Any, I know a lot about Samsung because I used to work in the marketing division at a company that was subcontracting for big companies and Samsung was one of them and they have a 2 year cycle with their TVs and occasionally it's a three-year cycle, but to give you an example the 2019 Q90R was a much better TV then the Q90T but the Q90T was more expensive and most of the RU-vid videos done by independent people will give you false information about those year's model because Samsung pays them and they will also give them future technology as well as the next year's model if they give praise for the current TV, even if the RU-vidr is saying it is not a "paid sponsorship" video by Samsung and this is my real opinion, only 10% of that is true because Samsung doesn't directly pay them for the video review it's done in more of a NDA and with that said, now you know that the videos are structured and you are not getting the actual Truth about the TV'S. Every other year Samsung will come out with a "parts bin" TV... last year was the there first Neo Qled Quantum Matrix "Mini LED" that TV was the best 90 series TV Samsung had ever made, and it was very expensive to make and a lot of videos from RU-vidrs Slammed the TV'S Review and they were paid by other manufacturers to do it, and in doing so it didn't sell as much as they wanted it was also priced much higher then any previous 90 series before it, it was more then the C1 OLED when it came out, Anyway, the QN90A has 792 dimming zones and 32xHDR that's 31,680 local dimming zones with FREESYNC PREMIUM PRO It's a botched Release from reviews.. Now you have the QN90B and it's just left over tech from the QN90A and it has only Half the dimming zones and is only 24xHDR Only has freesync premium Not Pro, And every model below 65in has much less then that, anything under 55in is HORRIBLE compared to The QN90A the QN90B is just Samsung trying to sell off their leftovers from last year, So this year, the updated version of the QN90A is The QN95B Not the QN90B... It is Confusing and frustrating but I am telling you the truth! Also this year, You can Buy Samsung new QD-OLED in 55in or 65in, 65in is 2,999 usd and it's around 1300 nits peak brightness but if your in natural light I'd stay with MINI-LED the QN90A in real world testing got over 1850 peak brightness, You can buy a QN90A for a Thousand dollars less in a 65in and wall mount it... I Have the LG C1, C2 and The QN90A And I tried the QN90B but it was terrible compared to my QN90A 65in... so I returned it, Soon I am going to get and try the QN95B and the Samsung's QD-OLED that comes out next month, Most likely I will keep the QN95B and sell my QN90A if it is a suitable upgrade, It has 1,334 local dimming zones at 48xHDR That's 64,032 mini led dimming zones and ther is a 64xHDR version making it 85,376 dimming zones and over 2 thousands nits peak brightness If price doesn't matter to you, Then buy the QN95B it's far better But if your looking to save money you can get QN90A for a Thousand dollars less in a 65in mount it on your wall and you would have your own movie theater in your room buddy It's far better than the QN90B... don't waste your money on that TV and Do Not buy anything under 55in because you will seriously regret it, in fact if I were you go with the 65in QN90A but that's just some insider info so take it or leave it, if you have the money buy the QN95B it's only 400 bucks more... oh and don't waste your money on 8k models because they are overpriced and useless right now anyway... If I were you I would buy and try out a few different models, if you pay bestbuy 100 bucks one time fee, they will deliver and install them on your wall or wherever you want them and also pick them up and switch them out if you want to try different models that is your best bet

Seeing as you seem to know your stuff, if you were in my position (50" is the max I can go, for small apartment reasons, and girlfriend reasons!), what would you buy? My room has natural light, but it's not like they're right behind me. At the moment, I've got an entry-level off-brand LED TV from 2016. Literally anything will be an upgrade! The only daytime viewing I do is some gaming, or sport. In the evenings (light much less of an issue) I'll watch films / series. As I said, money is not really an object (but at the same time, if there is $1000 to be saved, I don't want to be a fool). Unfortunately, that excellent BestBuy option isn't available to me in Europe, and there is no way the French would have an equivalent service!!! Thanks again so much for your time. I'm actually hyped for this as a 50" gaming display in the bedroom that gets bright during the day. Hoping for a software update to improve motion from what classy has said. Also, hope someone on youtube does a step y step on professional calibration on the phone app someday.
Same with me! I diddnt want oled because I have a big window in my bedroom and wanted the brightness this looks like the best option out there for LCD. I never have spent this much on a TV but I'm sure it will make the Xbox series X shine!
Unfortunately, this TV from Samsung costs about $1,000 more than I'm willing to pay for a 75" TV set. I need a TV that is 70" or 75" in size. But I'm not willing to pay these absurd prices charged by Samsung, Sony, and LG. It is a shame the Hisense U8H and TCL Series 6 had so many problems in 2022. Their prices were in the $1,500 ballpark. But they had too many "Processing" problems and glitches.
Thanks for the review. I'm looking at the QN90A 85 inch currently at $2300, but after your review maybe the 75 inch in the B model for about $500 more would be a better choice in the end.
Nice review. I am pretty sold on the QN90B. But I am waiting to see almost all TVs first. Need to see the X95K for example and the S95B QD-OLED. But for MiniLED/LCD the 90B is getting really close to OLED and has very few if any real issues.
Informative as usual. It would be good to see a review of Samsung Frame 2022 TV as compared to last years. With anti reflection, supposedly improved sound and whether picture quality is improved. Thanks

I was hoping a mini LED model of the Frame would have been introduced this year, but I suppose that would have been extortionately priced! Looking forward to your coming reviews.
This TV looks like a winner but I always wait to see what else is out there. No FOMO here. Then I wait for the Value Electronics shoot out and make a decision with my new knowledge.
Thanks for the review. My biggest problem with LG and their OLED technology, is tge fact that they refuse to stand by it when it comes to warranty. Expecting a customer to pay thousands for a TV, and tell them that burn in is "non existent" and not a problem, when we know it is a problem at times, but then refuse to stand by their product if it does happen, is unacceptable in my book. If the really is that rare, then they should have absolutely no problem standing by their televisions if this does in fact take place. I own both LG and Samsung Tvs, and I can honestly say that my Samsung Tv's have been more solid than my LG Tv's, I've had to replace Wi-Fi modules and motherboards in my LG TVs, which really irritated the hell out of me. At the end of the day though, I really feel like the quality on both technologies is so good, at this point, people are getting into the weeds and knit picking little things that realistically will never affect the average consumer. It's like somebody who doesn't race cars or go to the track, arguing about why one sports car supposedly "better", because it can go a fraction a second faster from 0-60, even though this person will never utilize that capability in any way or matter. Because of this mentality, many reviews and videos turned into nothing more than fanboy info commercials fortheir favorite loyalty brand, rather than being honest and direct about the technology and the capabilities between them.
I agreed with you, some reviewers do like some brands over another. Has to be honest, forget about the nits etc and say which one is better for colour, brightness, sound etc, some brands are known for certain issues and strengths.
i recommend get the qn85b. the qn85a(last year model) already did great at blooming and deep blacks plus its an ips so viewing angle is wider than any VA panel. or get the sony x90k or x95k for its superior upscaling and processor better than Samsung and lg combined
@@johnathankim6721 they both have the same picture quality but qn90a is a little bit better in dark scene since its a va panel but the qn85a holds up for IPS panel. it also look like OLED black linus tech made a video about qn85a and they were surprised how closed it look like an oled

The HDR sounds amazing on this TV. I am addicted to oled (specifically Sony) for years now but I do wish I could fully embrace it someday. Blooming and haloing is a tough thing for me. Thanks for the review B!

I think overall QLED might be better since its great for BOTH dark and bright room (less in dark room but still really good and getting better) where OLED is definitely not good for bright rooms, this makes the QLED better overall and the QD OLED will be the best in a few years but then comes the micro LED. With MICRO LED and QD OLED this will make OLED left behind unless they can come up with something fast.
@@dylanhumphrey2479 except they will all burn in because that’s just the way oled works it literally degrades the pixels every time you turn the tv on… doesn’t matter if it’s a new or old model it’s inevitable and happens usually within 3-4 years where as an led most times last 10+
Does it blow up colors in game mode with local dimming set to HIGH just like the QN90A? The QN90A was the worst TV I have ever had. Glad I exchanged it for a X95J and I couldn't be happier. Only Sony TVs for me from now on
Looks like you’re really impressed with this tv which is great. What the sound quality is like compared to your A90J since the QN90B now got Dolby Atomos from the internal speaker?. I heard that the HDR is awesome even without Dolby Vision.
Looks good but that DSE is a deal-breaker. Obviously pot luck but your sample looks like an instant send back for replacement job as it's not acceptable at that price-point.
Yes absolutely, SCAMsung just doesn’t care at this point and it’s just sick, company’s need to make there own panels and stop getting Chinese panels LOLOL that’s when it ALL started

I watch a lot of movies at night in a dark environment. Because the QN90B is brighter, will I have any issue? I'm thinking of buying the QE50Q80B, but I find the QE50Q80B better in features
This years QN90B it for sure is a setup in the right direction.im glad there doing full 4k120 cdmi now .however these tv are much more expensive then OLED is today and to me thats crazy since this technology is not new new its old LED itself is old QDLED is just a step up not that its bad for anything i would buy this tv for the very low price of under 1500 bucks for say a 65 inch.
I'm about to buy her, I got the Q99R and it's nothing but suffering! ZERO native picture quality, very compressed and blooming all the time. I really hope that this one will be better.
@@micker9830 Well it's great for 120hz gaming which is supported on XBSX and PS5. I think Samsung should have included at least 2 of these ports on previous models...then this wouldn't be such a big deal.
@@martindominguez1518 I love it! I think it was worth the $3000 in my opinion. It’s a lot better than my old lg led tv. Every tv has its “issues” but this tv is fast and the picture quality is great.
Hello, do not be tired. What do you do to clean the TV panel? I use a microfiber cloth and I do not spray because I am afraid that the spray contains amniocenter or alcohol and will damage the screen. You start cleaning
This looks awesome but im digging that s95b i think these qleds are too bright for certain rooms. I have a basement where i mainly watch tv. I think qd oled is much in my opinion
I'm watching this on my Q90B 85 inch. The only thing I don't like is the operating system aka the home screen interface. I much prefer the 2019 version whatever that was.
I love the video but would like to see the comparison to the C2 and Sony x95k to see if they are better than the qn90a since. It is only $3k right now.
