DOES a *SAMSUNG QN90D 43''* (2024) surpass the *SONY XR A90K 42''* (2022) ??? It will be used for regular daily use and mostly movies, netflix, and not gaming My old SONY TV was pretty good for over a decade and a half, since 2006-7, so the question is *newest SAMSUNG can compete a slightly older SONY in quality?*

Broke my lg from 2019 or earlier. Been on my samsung from pre 2014. Just bought this tv. I feel thr inprovment over the lg with only 6 backlight zone will be massive.

good video, just a favor could you try the following video "4K HDR Fireworks Sony Oled TV Demo" on RU-vid with the local attenuation on high and see the blooming that it presents a lot or a little, because mine presents a lot in this specific video and in subtitles in general.

How is the image quality and upscaling for below 4k gaming in game mode? I have a qn90b and the image is significantly blurrier in 420p, 720p and 1080p ( from sources that do not natively upscale to 4k) than my budget, bargain basement 1080p jvc in game mode. 4:3 aspect ratio is also not available on the qn90b in game mode.

I returned the qn90b because everything was overbrighted.. like a white fog.. couldnt stand it.. is this any better?

nice review, should I pick this up over the S90D? Both of them have the same price in my country, but I'm afraid of the OLED issues!

@ikai2 They're both amazing TVs. The S90D gives you better contrast, but the QN90D is brighter. If you do a lot of gaming where there's any kind of static logo on the screen for prolonged periods we'd say go with the QN90D. If you use it more for watching movies and shows, the S90D is a fantastic option.

@user-ge9ow6lw2c Probably not, unless you really like the updated OS and the 4K/144Hz support. The QN90B still has a fantastic picture and all 4 of the HDMI connections still support next gen gaming features, but only up to 4K/120Hz (which is still great for PS5 and X Box Series X).

Hi, Can i ask something: how bad is the ghosting on the screen? I have with for example the game destiny the motion tracker(a semi transluscent grey cirle in the hud) gets copied over the screen in a broken sence when turning or with moving backgrounds. It's very visible in like desert colored backgrounds like going to mars, and i can't seem to fix or lessen the effect..

@anil25147 There are different opinions on that. A VA panel is going to give you better contrast, but an ADS panel will have wider viewing angles.

@MSDOGS1976 It's not quite as bright, but it's still an amazing picture. If you already have a sound system then the Samsung would be a great choice if you're looking to save some money and still get a fantastic picture.

@zyzU400Kg No, the operating system on the TV should not interfere with your computer. If you set the TV to the input the computer is connected to it essentially becomes a monitor.

Historically in the UK, the 43" variants do not come with Wide Viewing Angle (WVA) which is a bummer. I read this year they included it?

@awaisqaisar6696 The 43" that will be available in the US market is going to have Wide Viewing Angle technology. Unfortunately we can't confirm the model for the UK market will be exactly the same. If we're able to find out we'll be sure to update this comment.

@lanjaiho377 We don't currently carry the QN95D so it's hard to say, but the QN90D has an incredible picture so it's hard to imagine the 95D could be significantly better.

@lu5ttheprotogen342 Probably not. The QN90D does have a better picture processor, however most of the other features stayed very similar. Also, the QN90C has an ATSC 3.0 tuner built in which is an advantage if you use an over the air antenna in an area with Next Gen TV service.

Hi I got qn90d but on Roku display it's said 60 Hz why is that and when watching sports picture is blurry. any suggestions please

@MrJhangir07 Here is a statement from Roku that explains the 60Hz "Current generation Roku streaming players are designed to output all content at a display refresh rate of 60fps. If you prefer, your Roku player can be configured to output the native format of each movie, video or TV show by enabling the auto-adjust display refresh rate setting, if available." As for the blurriness of sports, you may want to try changing around the motion settings to see if that makes a difference.

@philsalley3278 The QN90D has an updated processor, better contrast, better motion handling, and added 360 audio support. If those are features you value then yes, it would be worth the additional cost. That being said, the picture quality on the QN90C was fantastic, so if you can find it for a good price you can get that and a soundbar and you'll have a really good setup. Ive had oleds tvs now for the good part of about 7 -8 years. Ive gone through a few due to dead pixels. My current lg oled i have had for 4 years now has loads of dead pixels on the top edge of the screen. Im pretty much done with oled. Will this tv be the best alternative?

whoa, cloud gaming on this thing? So you dont even need a console? Could you just connect a controller through the USB port and play without a console, effectively making this a 2 in 1? Or no and thats why you had the xbox in the frame for that shot?

@peanutheadrules Lots of TVs coming out now offer cloud based gaming. You just need to connect a gaming control, which you can do through bluetooth if you want a wireless connection. There are fees that apply to the games, but you don't need a console to play.

@geroldgardner5538 All 2016 and later Samsung TVs support the Max app so it shouldn't be a problem. We know it's a new TV, but have you checked to see if the software needs to be updated?
