We want both of them for the Mac (quick share and nearby share). Google isn't in partnership with Microsoft so why is nearby share only on Windows and not mac Bringing it to Mac will lead to further breakdown of the "walled garden" because you can "airdrop" to all devices regardless of OS

In my experience with Galaxy Book 2 and S23, for reasons unknown many times Quick share doesn't detect when I try to send files. It detects only when you manually open up Quick share app(even when all permissions like start application on boot etc) are granted. And even then, in many cases I have experienced failure to send files, even smaller sized ones like images,pdfs etc. Nearby share has worked more reliably in comparison.

Yes it's works through peer to peer wifi, you don't even need wifi or BT to be turned on for this..

Nearby Share is much more faster than Quick Share in transferring files from phone to non-Samsung laptops or vice versa. I think Microsoft and Samsung are not gelling well with each other. Microsoft and Samsung should also allow Samsung Notes to work in non-Samsung laptops. Samsung should also think of making their own web-browser for PC for seamless integration of documents from phone to pc.

Try this, search for latest intel BY driver on google, you will see the latest versions there. Download and install it and restart the computer

When I transferred 30 images/screenshots from Samsung phone to laptop , it took much time to prepare those files to be sent to my non-samsung laptop whereas Nearby Share was very quick to send those files to my laptop.

Google "Nearby Share" is now available (although in beat) on all Windows 10 and 11 devices. It works also over a wired link, Wi-Fi is not a requirement. It's also compatible with non Samsung Android Devices

works by creating peer to peer wifi, you don't even need wifi or BT to be turned on for this..

As soon as i watched this video i downloaded quickshare onto my laptop...problem was i can download it from MS store but on opening it, app says isn't compatible with this device...quiet disappointed after waiting for years for this to arrive but can't use it onto my Ryzen 7 5800H laptop...any fixes?

@@amin_asqa3990 i m trying using a .bat script that allows a bypass method pretending the pc to be an generic samsung laptop to make the program work...however problem is that my kaspersky always detect it as a threat and removes it ...that script isn't a threat tho its just spoofing the app to believe its samsung device which makes it under radar...i m running quickshare on my laptop the only thing is laptop to phone transfer is only option i can use as my phone isn't detecting the presence of my laptop however laptop can detect the presence of phone to transfer files seemlessly

@@ThePhoneFuelik but thing is before today even the GET option on MS Store was not present for my device..its today i discovered that i can genuinely install from store rather than 3rd party sites...i would recommend ppl who can't make use of quickshare to use samsung flow...the transfer speeds are quiet good just on PC set "connection method : Wifi or LAN " to transfer without need of turning off the wifi or hotspot as i use my phone to give hotspot for internet onto my laptop...this setting allows me to keep transfer ongoing as well as let me use internet on both laptop and phone...also for test i sent an entire 900mb video file and it took around 45s to transfer it so it's pretty good at transfering speeds

Stop whining, in the video it's clearly mentioned about the criteria, at least you got to know about this feature now being made available.. you gained some information.
