How is battery life?

@@jarule8065 Battery life was fantastic, but the capacity seems to be on a more rapid decline than expected. I used to only have to charge it when I went to bed at night and there was generally still roughly 30% battery by then. I'm now below 15% by 4PM most often. It's not that I'm using it any more than I was before. I I've only had the phone for 3 months! Other than that, I'm still very pleased with it overall.

Thank you for the support! Yes, ThatOne Guy is correct with face unlock. I find it faster than the fingerprint scanner.

Still needs more battery, 10,000mah would be a much needed upgrade (Maybe then I can actually get a whole day out if it)

Thanks! UFS 3.0 is heavily debated since benchmarks prove either UFS 3.0 is there and not being used, or it’s not there at all. Samsung doesn’t mention it anywhere (I looked for weeks online lol), but people claim that Samsung reps told them it has UFS 3.0. The S10 5G was kind of hidden because the OnePlus 7 Pro was the first with UFS 3.0 and the Galaxy Fold was supposed to be the first, but the S10 5G came out and no one talked about it. Sad how major of a phone the S10 5G is, but was overshadowed by the Note10 Plus 5G. That’s why I did the review in this format lol. But performance wise, I saw a small drop when compared to the Note10 Plus which for sure has UFS 3.0. Not a huge drop, but noticeable. Wish I had an S10 to compare when I had the S10 5G and Note10 Plus.

Thanks for the feedback! I like the Note 10 Plus (working on the review right now) because of the memory card slot, but I miss using the S10 5G, even though 5G is no where near me. Hard to say which is my favorite, but I'm leaning towards the S10 5G (but the Note 10 Plus does have UFS 3.0 like the OnePlus 7 Pro, so it's technically a faster phone when compared to the S10 5G). It has more cameras and all the other features the Note10+ has. The S10 5G and Note10+ 5G cost the same, the 4G LTE Note10+ costs a little less. I'd recommend spending the extra ~$200 for the S10 5G.

@@ps3aciv Too late. LOL I bought the T-mobile Note 10 plus 4g lite back in October. My last phone was the Samsung Galaxy 9 +. Great phone

Note 10+ is better, but I like the S10 5G more because of the design. Missing the SD card kind of sucks, but 256gb is good built in memory

@@RealWorldReview Yeah. That's one thing that attracts me to the S10 5G. It's design. Personally, the S-Pen isn't really my cup of tea. As far as performance goes between the two, are they the same?

I like the size on the S10 5G, but the FE is a better option

@@4Lukewarm Just cause you don't notice it does not mean is not there, it is. Samsung will find a way and that's when I'm going to upgrade.

I barely got 2 days. Battery life isn't the best, but you should be able to get at least a full day with a 100% charged battery

@@RealWorldReview not sure how you do that, I unplug at 8am, and by lunch time my phone is dead (turning off 5G adds maybe 2 more hours to the total runtime) The only phone I have ever been able to get more than a day out of was the ulefone power 5 (which I could reliably get 72hrs between charges) The phone has already been replaced by my carrier as a proposed solution to the battery life problem, but it's not the phone, its the fact that the battery is too small for the job, 4500mah is insufficient for a phone with such power hungry components, it should be at least 10,000mah

I have got Samsung galaxy s10 5g and same problem. Battery life is not very good. I bought it from EE shop. One charge i can use nealy 7-8! hours continuously.

@@travishetaraka2023 Yes I would. The performance is still smooth. There is only one major update and that's Android 12 according to the Samsung website. The camera takes nice clean photos. Its a great deal.

This was the sprint version, so maybe that’s why. But it should be working on yours if anything (assuming it’s the unlocked version)

The only downside is UFS 2.1 otherwise it beats Note 10+ in every possible way.

@Codeluxx no its not, the highest is ip69. check the official samsung page about the ip68 and there you will se all the phones and just in the bottom with a * is the saying that the S10 5G has ip69 rating

No, it does not. They removed it

You can use a heart monitoring app that uses a camera and flash to light up your finger, but this may not be as accurate nor it has oxygen levels reading as older Samsung (though that feature is not on the level of a medical device).

aidensky 🤦🏽‍♂️ lol ok guy, pop up cameras are a pure gimmick, after a year a 2 of wear and tear ur pop up selfie camera will be useless, the pinnacle of design is removing unnecessary moving parts making the product sleek and more reliable, good design is not adding worthless moving parts just to be flashy
