I was shocked!!! My phone stopped charging today for no apparent reason, but I SQUEEZED It tightly a few times in that upper 3rd area of the connectors -- and it started charging!! 😍😍 THANK YOU!!! 💙💙💙💙
Wow, thanks a lot sir. I literally just pressed the area where the connector is, without opening the phone and it is now working. I went to 2 shops to fix it and they were asking me to wait for at least 3 to 4 days to make a diagnosis for 30 euros, so I said no. They were doubting it was an issue with the mother board and wanted to change it for 100 to 180 euros, but you were right. Be blessed.
Omg!! I've tried everything and it will randomly pick the usb charge whenever so randomly!! And now I pressed the phone in different areas and once I prese the middle of the screen boom!!! It start charging!!!
I can't thank you enought for this video, you saved me a lot of money and I did it myself! My phone was not charging anymore, and when I found your video I tried to put pressure on the back cover just over where this conector is placed, then my phone started to charge. But if I let go the pressure it stoped charging. Then I knew I had the same problem as the one in your video. Now my phone is charging again! Thank you so much!
Hello Soran. My Samsung S20 died today. I just watched your Samsung S20FE video. Then pressed the back of the unopeded case where the battery is connected. I HAVE PICTURE! 🙂 Thank you. PS. Love your videos! Keep up the good work!
I love your videos and I always look forward to seeing the next one while giving me more knowledge in the repair! I wish you Sorin and all your family a wonderful Christmas! From Quebec
Thanks so much. I fell backward and landed on my s20fe yesterday and now it would not charge with the cable but would charge wirelessly. Knowing this connection may have been the issue I pushed and gave it a few slaps where this connection is. Up and charging with the cord. At least now I do know what the issue is. Thanks again for your video. Have a great day.
YOU HAVE SAVED ME FROM SPENDING HUNDREDS ON FIXING MY PHONE, THANK YOU! My S20 wouldn't charge so I replaced the charge port and it still wouldn't work. Watched your video, unplugged and plugged back in the battery and it works perfectly. I think mine came loose from dropping and/ or hitting my phone many times. It has taken a beating over the years. Thanks again!
OK, OK, you did it!! I had tried everything "as you did" after watching your video- took it apart and paid "special attention to that end of the bus clip AND YES, that fixed it. So crazy??
thank you soo much!!! i was about to give up on my s20 fe i thought the logic board power circuit was damaged. turns out it was the mainboard flex cable not connected properly. great video thanks again!
I can't believe that! You are my hero mate haha. Suddenly my phone wasn't reacting to the charger. I had just 20% left and tomorrow I need my phone as a navi. I found your movie- I just slightly pressed my finger against the body in connector place (haven't got a time, tools snd skills butback of the phone its quite flexible) and it works know 😅. Looks like my phone somehow bend in my pocket during work. Thank you !
Been wireless slow charging for the past 2 days. Decided to crack it back open and issue was exactly the same as the video. So thanks for that. Did a screen change about a month ago and afterwards with phone in my pocket at the gym, the power connector shook loose. Now this. Apparently after the initial disconnecting of the ports, they become way easier to jostle loose. I expect that this won't be the last time. Unfortunately.
Honestly im shocked, mine stopped charging and went from 40 to 0 and has been randomly throwing up a moisture detection warning even though it's not been anywhere wet or even humid, pressed firmly on the back where the connector is and it just started charging, i hope it charges all the way and i hope its not something it does again but if all i had to do is press in that spot firmly i genuinely cannot thank you enough for this video. My s20fe is my favorite phone ive had and i was heartbroken when it stopped working so if this works thank you a million for saving me from having to get another phone
thank you sir, fortunately you are very helpful, my S20 FE charging problem is solved. I was very surprised, I have done many ways, starting from disassembling the Flex board USB Charger Port Connector, and all other ways, but it turns out that with just one push on the flexible cable, all the problems are resolved. thank you very much, your video is very useful and helpful. and again i very very appreciate that.
Thanks a lot for sharing. Just had this issue with my S20, and at least for me, the issue was intermittent, and came back even after I tighten the connector over and over. The root cause is bent connector. To fix it- you can either use a jumper or some glue. For me, just a little glue (B-7000) solved the problem.
Thank you so much I didn't even have to take off the back I just pressed there on the back a few times and on that spot and around and now it's charging again again thank you so much
Unfortunately it will come back, you need to put a wire between the top and bottom fpc connector to make constant contact. These phones are bending over time and the connector on the motherboard is becoming larger and not making contact. We do lot of A70/A71 with this kind of issues here.
Hi do have any permanent solution for Nokia 6.1 plus not charging due to loose type C connector? I changed whole board-connector but problem is back after several months.
How do you know how much amp or volts to inject into a phone or laptop motherboard or such? How is it you determine that? If you can explain or make a video on it I would absolutely love to learn more ! Thank you hats off to the amazing work you do!
A piece of kaptopn tape on the connector may help to prevent the problem coming back. Seem to remember this issue with other models with this cable being dislodged
Thank you so much for clear and detail video i follow tutorial and found out my phone the connector pin had broken from high dropping is it possible to change just connector in motherboard to a new one? Thanks in advance.
Buna seara. O seara buna !
Samsung has this Problem on many other models. The Problem will come back, because the connector has no proper connection to the FPC. A jumper wire from plus to plus is the solution
Thank you! I had this same issue. Just shitty build quality from Samsung. I had eliminated this cable as the issue since I thought I was LCD only and that part was working fine.
I have a S20 FE with this exact issue, I did open it in the past, unplug the battery connector and put it back. Charging works again, I am pretty sure they have a hardware defect or a design issue in this charging unit and that from time to time it needs a hw reset. Too sad you cant do it like in old days where batteries were fully amovible...
For everyone where just reconnecting it doesnt fix the problem: In my case i just put like a 1mm thick stack of tape over the left half and used the plastik wireless charging housing to basically push the connector like in the video
Had exactly the same problem once with the ZTE Axon 9 Pro I couldn't figure it out . I think its from the assembly line of the phones on the factory. It's an easy repair but unfortunately it destroys the little water resistance it has.
thanks for the video. before I open my s20 fe one question. my charge cables with led lighs on them, it turns off the led on the cable when I plug them in and won't charge. wireless charging still works. think your method will probably work for me? If so I order tools and open it right away. if the light going out indicates a real port problem then maybe I should take it to repair center?. thanks for your help with my question.
I pressed on the spot with the connector through the case and no change. no charge and the light on all my charge cables stay off. I just ask because i don't want to open it if it just will need to go for service later.
all samsung A series have the same problem. the connector get slightly lose so I squeeze the connector a little and run a jumper wire from main board to charging board to make sure the customer will not coming back again
For my S20FE it worked even better! it was not charging, nothing happened, but while I was just watching this video - it started to charge! Like a charm! Magic video, lol! Thanks, anyways!
Sir, please answer me please. I dropped my S20 FE on the stairs then the screen showed something like the old TV colours when there's no broadcasting, then next day it went completely black. I tried to connect my phone to a TV using an USB / HDMI Hub. Then I could only see the lockscreen on my TV along with the digital clock. However, using a mouse, I couldn't unlock or access the phone. I've tried wireless charging and normal USB - C charging, I've also tried calling my mobile from another phone, everything is working perfectly fine, except the screen. Can the phone be fixed please? Is this IC issue? I've very important data on the phone, can this be backed / cloned to another Harddisk or mobile phone? Thank you Sir
Its actually a very common problem with the new samsung phones all A series from after 2019 have it it happenes after hard drop the connector cracks it may charge now but it will come back.A true fix is to change the connector on the MB
Its a known thing with several Samsungs that the flatcable over the battery is a problem, they are too long and push themself out with vibration or whatever.
