I never would have imagined being able to use a smart phone like this. Esp. with the ps controller some of the games you showed were nostalgic for me. Great video, almost enough to make me switch from iOS... 😉
@@Dannyblazer1985 Exynos 2100 was bad initially but now after many updates and patches, it is slightly less powerful than 888. In some areas, it even surpasses 888, it's just that 888 is still better optimised for most games and emulators than Ex2100.

samsung really needs to release a samsung dex laptop for its phones where oyu would have to connect the phone via usbc. and the "laptop" would function as screen, power bank, hub, keyboard, touchpad...
I was lucky enough to snag a used Samsung S20FE for £100. Which has a slower but still very capable Snapdragon 865 processor. I am currently using it as an android console, but I'm seriously considering testing it out with Netflix etc, and replacing my fire cube with it.

@TechStation365 for having tech in your name thats kind of sad that you dont understand that latency isnt contingent on a wireless connection. ALL emulation has latency and historically screen mirroring comes with latency. To answer my own question, dex has minimal audio and display latency because of the magic of modern display port and the system is snappy enough that emulation latency is at a minimum. 4k@60 with bluetooth controllers is servicable enough to play dreamcast fighting games. I hope this post helps someone who is asking the same question. Its no worse than emulation on a nvideia
There is, and no vrr support in retroarch either, also no native vrr on the phone screen. So to get ok ish results you need to disable vsync which is a graphical nightmare for platformers.
