Camera - Great Screen - Great UI - best for me Spen - GREAT and unique option for work or chatting or when you are Russian and always read or write English Battery life - not less then good - legitime 4,5/5. I wake up at 7:00 and go to bed at 23:00 and I rarely have to recharge it before go to bed. I'm using Snapdragon version from the begining of the year and continuing to thank God for this Christmas gift for me. I've bought phone used for 3 month in excellent condition. Unfortunately I used it for some time without screen protector and it now have one barely visible scratch. Overall - Great phone. If someone want really powerful and complete or perfect flagship but don't have money to buy most expensive recent year Ultra, S22 Ultra is a right and great choice for year or two definitely.
Love Everything about it, glad I switched from the iphone 12 pro, not to say it was a bad phone but the S22 Ultra is a beast and is unbelievable for productivity for work.
I got mine like six months ago, and all I can say is that this phone is still a beast. It will definitely last for a very long time, and it is great that you can find it for like half the price of S23 Ultra.
i still use my S22 Ultra 512GB varient since its launched and the battery health is still 100% and it lasts for a day which is more than enough for my usage. Im not a content creator so i dont really care about the video quality. But i take a lot of photos personally & Professionally. I use this phone a lot for emails & messages and sometimes YT videos. Its a value for the money if you're not a content creator.
I have an S22 Ultra, I am satisfied with it still and I have no money to spare for another upgrade so I am comfortable enough of both its pros and cons to have it for a long time until its actually necessary for an upgrade; also very happy that Sasmung finally unlocked Good Lock for my country (PH) I used to make ways to download and use it back then lol 😅
How about on screentime after at fully charge to %10 i just want to know because i want to buy this device, and there is so many things about battery life on RU-vid. they have (and i am still seeing thing like this) told the battery is awfull. battery is just gave them about just 4 hour or 4.5 hour whatbout yours?
I have had the S23U for 2 months, and now I own a S22U for 3 weeks. Honestly, aside the paper specs, there are only 3 things major, and 2 things I personally dont care for, that are different. So basically 5 things. The really huge differences are the 3: battery life, speaker quality and S-pen smoothness, which all 3 suffer on the S22U. 6 vs 10h SOT, distorted not much natural vs natural, lively, depth sound, and almost harsh to smooth stylus. The other 2 are gaming and photos. S23U is basically a better made s22u, but...if one has an s22u, the upgrade is pointless.
This phone gets a lot of hate from the midrange android users because of the power management of 8gen1 and it's battery life. But not gonna lie at the end of the day a flagship android device is a flagship device. And just like you said the pros outweighs the cons.
A lot of the issues are solved or improved since launch. Yes the s23 ultra is gonna be better and it does seem a little smoother, but not nearly enough to make me feel like I'm lacking with the s22u.
@@hobosnake1if you have s22u its not worth upgrading (no phone is worth upgrading yearly) but if youre making a purchase now and debating between the 2 now it makes no sense to buy the s22u
I upgraded to the S23 Ultra for free storage. I had 256 on the S22 Ultra but I was able to get 512 for free thru Samsung trade in. Also the speakers on the S22 Ultra weren't that loud and they'd distort. On the S23 Ultra their much louder and clearer. Your getting an extra speaker on bottom right plus the grill and 1 on top so the phone has 3 speakers.
I'm an architect. I love the fact I can load a full set of arch drawings in a PDF and take it with me on a site visit. There I can use the S Pen to take notes on the drawings and save it. I can also take pictures and insert them into the PDF. Once save I can put it in the cloud and let someone at the office download it and start making changes. If I'm out of state, this is incredibly productive. No lugging giant paper pages about, and I don't have to worry about hiking around with a tablet that I have to dedicate a hand to hold it. Phone fits in my pocket
Currently, I have the S23U, but before I had the S22U and I think the S22U body feels better in the hand, and bezels look thinner due yo the more rounded edge. Camara rings on the S23U look better, though.
hello can you help? i want to buy a second hand s22u because it is cheaper then s24u and s23u but i have doubts for the year of the model and how long it will last..is it worth to take s23u?
So pumped to get my s22 ultra delivered in a few days. Kinda getting sick of this screen on my pixel 6 pro. It sucks when viewing in the sun. Real bad. Now I see why this phone doesn't hold it's value at all compared to samsung flagships.
My 512g Black S22 Ultra is a beast in Sep. 2023. I dont even have a micro scratch on it! However, I'm OCD & I do keep it in a case & I rotate cheap ($10 3pk) TPU Screen Protectors every few months. I'm retired & this phone is still showing me what all it can do in Sept. 23! I get up at daylight, connect it to my Watch 5 Pro Titanium & a Bluetooth speaker in my boat, fish all day & put it on the charger at 9 or 10p. I'm looking to keep mine until a 24, 25 Ultra comes with a Flat Screen. If not, I'll just get my battery changed out for $80! A great phone. Never had a single issue with mine.
Sure, I like someone reinforcing my buying choice but with this video I got a lot more from it with you telling me what YOU DO WITH IT. Other "reviewers" nitpick this and that and just about every other phone that they handle and make me feel like a purchase was a bad move, whatever it was. Your video is upbeat and covers all the goodness of the phone and sure, I know it has some weaknesses but someone stand up and name me the perfect phone. There aint no such phone. Please keep 'em coming JUST LIKE THIS and continue to be the positive person you are.
Mine is better than the day it was released. It's had a case & tpu screen protectors on it straight out of the box. Never dropped & zero micro scratches. 512g is a beast & the camera did change me from using my DSLR. I won't be getting rid of this phone for years to come. Still last all day listening to music & Bluetooth connected to my Watch 5 Pro
I canceled Netflix because I got my Wife a 13 Pro & it was getting soo hot that it killed a 100% battery in a few minutes. She kept wrapping her iPhone up in a towel & putting it in the freezer. However, I watch Prime, Max, Hulu & Premium RU-vid on my 22 Ultra from about 5am to 10a & then I'll watch it on & off throughout the day on my Tab. This S22 Ultra has never gotten below 50% battery life. I've taken out while Saltwater fishing in my kayaks here in 100deg weather, paired to my Watch & my Bluetooth speaker all day long! (12hrs of fishing) I've figured out that it uses 10% or a little less of the battery per 1.5hrs of watching in 1080p & 1440p. I'm completely out of the Apple ecosystem & 100% in Samsung's ecosystem. So I have my Watch 5 Pro (lasts 4 days easy) paired to my 22 Ultra & my Tab S7 plus. This is in September 2023. I'll be keeping this phone for at least 3 to 4 more years. 🤟
I have the s22 Ultra ofr 14 months now and as of hardware its a real beast. i Love it. But the problem in in software (still on april patch) and chipset. I am from EU so I have the exynos version. No good lock, not regularly updated,... simply not fair from Sammsung so I will probably go for apple sadly (Samsung user since s2)
S22 ultra still amazing and powerfull until now 2023..i owned s22 ultta 512gb for almosr a year...after the one ui upgrade battery life improve a lot too
@RendonTech yeah that's why I didn't upgrade to s23 ultra I have 156 gigs storage for s22 ultra I wanted to upgrade by I'm just waiting for next year I can hold
144hz will be nice I suppose, but speaking as someone who has been pc gaming for years: 60 to 120hz is night and day. An amazing difference. 120hz to 144hz is extremely hard to tell the difference with. 144 to 240hz is another noticeable difference, yet not as noticeable as 60 to 144. There's diminishing returns. You should NOT be excited for 144hz as if it will be some big difference. What you're hoping to see is 240hz, but that won't happen for a while.
2nd day using it. BATTERY IS THE MAIN CON. On IDLE for the love of all that is good. I did the 85% battery saver thing. Slept on 85% woke up at 54% IDLE. STANDBY.
I really don't understand how is it a powerhouse. I got mine 4 days ago and I barely manage to get 5h of SOT. How long does it take for the battery to learn the usage mode?

My S22 Ultra is still performing excellently. No need to buy S24 Ultra because in the real daily usage only slight difference claims by the latest. In fact S22 Ultra still performs amazingly.❤
I recently bought S22 ultra. It’s indeed a beast but I am not satisfied with the battery life. Is it because it’s just a start and will the battery life improve over time?
It's gets better if you know how to manage the apps, I have the s22u 1tb at 3hrs1min sot with 67 percent left 7hrs total usage and this is normal usage everyday, I'm glad they improved the battery that only means we'll be able to get 2 or 3 more hours with manual optimization on future models
I bought my S22 Ultra when it came out! I'm thinking about upgrading but I'm not sure. I like the photos it takes very good! This is a great phone and I've had zero problems! 😊
So, I've got the LG Wing and I absolutely adore it! However, it has stopped charging and it's time for a new phone. My first instinct was the Z Fold 5 but it seems out of my price range (around $1,000). What would you suggest I get? I think I could either get an S22 Ultra, S23 (MAYBE S23+) or possibly a Z Flip 4 or 5. Please help! I'm using a Huawei P7 now and it sucks. Virtually no apps work on it. I'm watching RU-vid through Chrome!
This will sound dumb, but do yall think this could be a good tablet replacement? I dont need it as a phone, i lowkey just want something i can bring with me that is big enough to watch videos but small enough to put in pocket along my iphone mini. Would this battery last 7 hours with youtube/web browsing/netflix?
No it won't last that long other than that I'd say heck yeah it would be perfect as a tablet maybe look into the S23U or a battery bank that's what I have for mine
Almost upgraded to the s22 ultra past for the S22+ I'm not sure what I was thinking some news was the battery life was not the greatest screen fragile mostly i really believe I was missed out on reliable information i regret passing it up
I think for the price and tge features you get, it would best the best value right now. I just got mine the other day, just waiting to get a case and screen protector before dropping my sim card into it. I am currently paying $10/month for it on the bring it back program from my provider. For me since I upgrade every 2 years it just sense to get it at the price its at.
I was just blessed to get me one as it was sent to me. Got it in burgundy color, 512GB storage, nearly looks new to me, no scratches is noticeable anywhere at all, nor does it have any cracks anywhere. I've updated it to the software One UI 6.1, Region USA.
No point in upgrading from s22 ultra to s23 ultra because technically samsung 8gen2 is overclocked for galaxy compared to actual 8gen2 clock chipset, still s22 ultra performs well in 2023
Dropped my s22Ultra at work off of the top of a railcar/train with a Tech21 case and it effing survived. My sim card crapped the bed but everything was back to working with a new sim. Unbelievable. I was honestly impressed. For sure thought I was about to have to get a new phone after that 30 foot tumble and crash.
November will be a year since I bought it. No regrets except for the region "shit" when one wants to use the best part e.g Samsung Galaxy Friends which I cannot acess due to region shit...
as a s22 ultra user i disagree for pretty much everything you said except for the camera and storage space. I droped this phone once without a case and it got lots of have scratches on the screen.
Have a S22 Ultra, needed to get the screen replaced because it fell when i was in the gym and broke from the inside. They replaced the screen it's really a fantastic phone to be honest.
I was getting 8 to 10 hours screen on time every day with two days' usage. I even got 10 and a 1/2 hours a few times. I had the S22 Ultra for 8 months before upgrading to the S23. Ultra, and now I'm getting 10 to 12 hours. Screen on time with 2 to 3 days usage. 1 day, I actually got 12 and a 1/2 hours screen on time. So these batteries are fantastic.
Nope, I'd say don't buy 2nd hand for that price. Cause you can literally get a brand new s22 ultra for an extra 5 to 10k and that too with 1year official warranty.
To be honest, If it was me I would wait for one more month if I had to. The deal that you are talking about sounds a little over the top since samsung resale values are really low. In the end its up to you tho, if u don't mind spending that much for a used phone, then go right ahead.
The durability largely depends on which object the phone gets dropped & from how much height it falls. For example, if this S22 ultra, without having a case/protection, accidentally/willingly falls on uneven hard surface like asphalt, rocks or any other similar type of objects, it will break for sure like biscuits or wafers. May be you were lucky enough not to break or damage your phone at all. But we should know that glass is glass & glass-body is vulnerable to breaking/damaging (whatever victus or victus+, 2, 3, 4.... protection it may have) easily if it falls to the ground hard on any of its sensitive (such as the phone's curved sides) or weaker part. Everyone does not have the same history regarding breaking/damaging. I personally use my S22 ultra very carefully & with a case also.
True, it is a great phone but false on screen on time, I was getting 8 to 10 hours screen on time every day with two days usage. I even got 10 and a 1/2 hours screen on time, a few times.
@marian harris well, not with mine...my S22ultra gives barely 4 hours of screen time. I've done everything in the book to try and correct it. Nothing helps. Been that way with every samsung I've ever had and I've only ever used android for the last 14 years. I'm switching to iphone when the 15 pro max comes out.
@terry lafauci Well, I don't know what you've been doing with your phones over the years. But even my 5 year old S9+ still gets a full day with 5 and a 1/2 to 6 and a 1/2 hours screen on time. Some days even 7 to 7 and a 1/2 hours screen on time. But I usually run my screen at 50% brightness or less because I'm indoors most of the day and keep black wallpaper that helps, and I keep all of my 100-plus apps updated regularly. I also try to tap that optimizer button once a day to kill any background processes on not using. You may have some bad apps that you're installing that are draining your battery. I'd look into that because no phone today should get that kind of battery life. Also, since the last update, my S23 Ultra has been getting better battery life than any iPhone... I'm just saying.
@marian harris yeah, my buddy just got an S23 ultra and it's a beast with battery life. By that I mean, he get roughly 6 hours of screen time but even that would be welcomed. I had an S9+ also and almost all of the notes. Not one of them was an all day phone. I don't play games either, I text, browes the internet, a bit of social media like FB, Instagram and RU-vid. I don't download every app I see for that reason though. So idk, I just know the 15 pro max is rumored to have an increase in efficiency by almost 30%...if I hate everything about it, I know I'll love the battery life. Plus I'm just ready to try IOS.
@terry lafauci If he just got it, the battery life should get much better. That happened with mine, too. When I first got it, it was almost the same as the S22 Ultra, but after the update and about 2 weeks, the battery life was about 20% better. They say it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to learn your usage habits and adjust the battery accordingly. But I hope you enjoy your new phone. No matter which one you choose, because these things cost way too much to have a bad experience, good luck.
