Lets be honest, we reached the point where apps no longer needs powerfull hardware anymore. It is just a matter of miliseconds, thats it is not a real improvement at all. The thing is, we dont really use the phones with its whole potential , but more about user interface. In the end its all about battery life, not performance. What apps do we really need on smartphones for the average customer apart from games to justify expensive tech nowadays? This smartphone market became a bad joke to me.
Your right about the ui Interface and expensive tech, but what you said about the performance is important to some people. Let's say this, you were In a busy situation and your phone has a bad performance right?, you obviously can't use it In today's modern world wherein smartphones these days have been Evolving smarter and faster. Hope this relates to your problem.

@@Obernity_yy I think Snapdragon 835 is still enough for handling any apps for work. Snapdragon 855 in note 10+ is more than enough except if u are a hardcore gamer.
I mean we are getting more demanding games on mobile as the time passes and people are constantly searching for a small device that makes great photo's also it is worth mentioning that all these apps are getting heavier as the time passes so we might reach the point where our phone can't keep up anymore hench that is why they keep making new one's.
@@VisionaryTech it's not always about the total storage. I mean iphone has 1tb too. So that's not my problem or people's problem. The problem is swap storage for photos and videos for people that like to be able to work on their stuff across multiple devices. I rather have the option and not need it than to need the option and not have it. Why I still don't like they took the headphone jack. I use Bluetooth wireless buds. But if I come across some great wired headphones I won't be able to use them and I hate that.
I think the Note10+ was a great phone in since launching and now, slim, light weight, good video and sounds. They can balance both design, grip comfortable and performance. I have sold the S22Ultra from one big issue, the light haptic (vibration) feedback that wouldn't fount in smartphone.
Did just say galaxy note 10 is the most beautiful with that big centerd punch hole? I use to own one and that pig centerd punch just makes the phone so ugly compared to the smaller punch hole we have from the s20 series upwards.
Once you see the holes next to each other in person it's hard to unsee. I get it. But I like the slimmer figure of the note 10, s22u feels like a bloated version of it
There is a difference in speed and performance for s22 ultra and this is normal butttt after opening too much apps i found that both almost same and note 10 + has advantage in reopened back interface apps ... all apps still running 😍 note still is the best 👌
So practical performance-wise, it seems better to have 12GB of RAM over a faster processor. Because you can keep more things running background and ready to pull those apps up, whereas the newer phones are using "background sleep" to save battery, but then you have to reload apps into RAM to "wake them up".
That's only useful for small high maintenance apps like messengers. Which already start up instantly when closed. You'll never pass 6-8GB of RAM from normal usage.
You're right, there's no need to upgrade for a few years. We should do it (keep our phones) but not say it so loud. Otherwise that's why enterprises go for obsolescence, because they want us to buy them every year
I guess I didn't think the ram would make a huge difference. After having all those apps open the s22 shuts down running apps. If the camera on the note 10 is decent it would still be a great choice
Also keep in mind the 5G version leaves a lot to be desired, as depending on the carrier you either only get 5G UWB mmWave support (Verizon - only in select big cities, doesn't penetrate buildings well, and you have to be pretty much in line of sight + very close to an UWB tower. I have this version and live near a supported city [Indianapolis] and still haven't come across a signal yet. But it is the fastest 5g if you can find it, offering up to 4 GBPS in the best conditions) and all other USA carriers only had low band 5G support (either the same speed or barely higher than 4G LTE-A). Neither support the newer midband spectrum that is a bit of both and arguably the best spectrum for good range/ high speeds. Also I learned the hard way that Verizon named UWB for both mmWave (what the Verizon Note 10+ 5G actually supports) and midband (not supported), so the coverage maps on Verizon's website are horribly unreliable for actually finding 5G on this phone because the map does not differentiate between the two bands at all. Doing hard reset helped solved mine. After oneui 4 update, I had to hard reset it because I was having lags and performance issue. I backed up and reset everything then resort back up files. Now it's working perfectly fine
Great side by side as I have the glow note 10+ it's been my daily driver since it came out. The rainbow color it flows is amazing the expandable storage alone is the seller not to upgrade cheers to us note owners
I would upgrade from my note 10+ just for the optical zoom on the new s22 ultra. I don't really care about the performance, it's almost negligible at this point
Maybe the s22 ultra is faster and has better performance, but I'm happy with my note 10+ because I can increase memory. Not even a supposed 1tb version of the s22 ultra beats the note 10+
@@jasonmi1049 I believe he means micro SD card support that is no longer supported on S22. Another big advantage is Note 10 supports MST for Samsung Pay making it able to be used on practically any Credit Card terminal including older/cheaper ones that don't support paying from your phone (NFC) whereas they killed that feature in the s22. That makes it usable on any Swipable terminal by wirelessly "emulating per-se" a credit/debit card swipe, making you truly able to leave your card home safe and not have to worry about whether or not a merchant accepts Samsung Pay like the majority don't IME.
Currently rockin a black 1tb S22 Ultra. I like it, but it's getting to the point, where there is only so much left they can do to a smart phone, that would make people want to upgrade.
There will be no more note series. Now the note's replacement is the samsung galaxy S22 ULTRA. I have been a Samsung user since the first Galaxy S and even before smartphones, I had a lot of samsung galaxy S and Samsung galaxy note, finally I find that Samsung made a wise choice for users, this S22 ULTRA is particularly successful , and no longer need to buy an S series and a note series for me. I have the note 20 ultra and the S20 plus, and now the S22 ultra is I admit that having both in one is not so bad
Y a veces me ven y a veces no me ven. Por la falta de recepción de señal.
I have both phones and I find myself going to the Note 10 plus much more basically because of the 512 GB plus a 512 GB SD card that I have on it. I like the slim profile that the Note 10 has feels very premium and ahead of it's time. I need to replace the battery and the charging port
They look nearly identical, I don’t see a reason to upgrade for 90% of people at all unless you only want more zoom and a bit more processing power🤷♂️
2 year N10+ user here!!! 120hz, future proof, 4 year android updates, 5G, and a lot brighter screen for outside viewing is a reason to upgrade... Upgraded to the S22U 2 weeks ago and while the N10+ is still a beast its worth the upgrade.... Now a N20 not so much....

i think the note 10 + is still good until next year, notice the battery life of the s22 ultra drained faster than the note 10. higher processor tends to have faster battery drainage. this video helped me decide to buy a note 10 + 5g to replace my p40 pro
I actually jumped from the note 10+ to the s22 ultra, because I broke the Note. And I'm actually very surprised on how hard it is to feel I have a 3 generations newer phone. I kinda feel I wasted money, with such high prices these days for phones. Of course the general improvements are there, but the gap is so small these days. The biggest difference is the 120hz screen...once you get used to that, it's goodbye 60hz forever. I don't game on the phone, so I don't know about that, but for regular use the Note is still very very capable. The cameras, yes they are better on the s22 and you have that dedicated 10x zoom which is nice at times. But for most photos and social media posting, Note 10+ was absolutely fine. I actually don't recommend the upgrade if you have a well working Note 10+ and you're fine with it. Probably would have kept mine for another year if I hadn't broke the screen.
I feel like Samsung s9 is still my most favorite Samsung phone. There's just something about those thin bezels on top and bottom, which looks better than a hole in the display. Mizz the design.
The only reason the note 10 did better toward the end was because the note 10 has had numberous amounts of updates and software updates and the s22 ultra is a gen 1 chip absolutely NO updates but one just now
I went to buy the S22 Ultra and ended up getting the 22+ Plus instead. The ergonomics and overall look of the S22 Plus just seemed better to me. When I saw them side by side the flat screen just seemed better than the curved edge. Idk that's just me tho.
For whom how. I think that curved screen is the best screen. And as for me Ultra looks better. But I have Plus because it is cheaper. And it's great too!
When I bought my S22+ I was told that my model had the fastest nanoprocessor samsung has to offer to the public. I'm sure the same nanoprocessor is in the Ultra. Considering Note 10+ & S22 Ultra are both Samsung products. Well. S22 will have it in the bag all day
I'm still using Note10+ ... no plan to upgrade. maybe next ... S23 ultra.. I'm not gamer. I don't care performance or big megapixels... Note10+ is still the best 'daily driver'
What I am really confused about here is the RAM management between these two. Both have 12GB on board, but the S22 Ultra has RAM plus with up to 8GB of RAM that can be reallocated from internal storage essentially giving it 20GB of total RAM. I am assuming that Tech Wisely is using the out of box specs. This means the S22 Ultra is in Optimized Mode. Could this be the reason it did so terribly in the RAM management part? I saw the same test versus the Note 20 Ultra with the result except the S22 Ultra traded blows a little better against it. Mr Tech Wisely do you have any ideas why this test was so lop sided? What about a speed test with the S22 ultra in High or Maximum Mode.
It's not only about Ram. It's battery management. In normal use case, you're probably not using all those apps at the same time and it drains your battery by keeping them open. So that's the tradeoff which I feel is fair given the use case scenerios of average users
It's virtual memory and it's part of one Ui 4.1 which the Note 10 has a well. I'm still trying to figure how Samsung can justify leaving the Note 10 out of updates that it obviously can handle beyond what the S22 will be able from a aspect of RAM which for developing is the one factor that limits development more than any other. A program can run slower on a slower processor, but if RAM requirements for a program exceeds RAM now your playing with virtual memory versus real memory. This means that at end of the day the Note 10+ could theoretically run a larger / more complicated app than the S22 ultra. How is this phone not eligible to keep getting updates. Where's the incentive for people to invest in flagship level tech only to see artificial limits be put in place only to sell a faster chip that will not have the same longevity due to having less RAM for future development.
Samsung S22 is a real beast. In my opinion samsung was going little bit behind in camera from Apple but after this beast the game is changed very much Samsung really did a great job especially in the camera segment. I checked many comparison reviews and S22 camera results are amazing and it was beating Apple. And I believe this Ram issue will be solved as soon as possible by samsung with some new software updates.
Even tho Note 10 is pretty much as capable, people don't realize that the fact that s22 ultra has a bigger battery, 100 times better camera, 120hz refresh rate better screen! Makes it infinitely superior. I know the majority of plp that can't afford the latest and greatest will never admit this! But if you don't care about what i mentioned before ( which for me is a must) the Note 10 is a no Brainer
Or it could just be that none of that justifies upgrading from a Note 10 plus to a S22 Ultra. The battery life on the S22 Ultra still sucks. The 120hz refresh rate is overrated and uses more battery. The screen on the S22 Ultra is not better its just slightly brighter, only slightly. And the camera on the Note Plus is still good. I'm actually thinking about returning my S22 Ultra while I'm still in my return window and waiting to see what the Z Fold 4 will bring. Or just waiting for the S23 Ultra.
@@Shaolinmonk781 you have every right to not want to upgrade but saying S22 Ultra don't justify the upgrade from Note 10+ is simply not the logical assumption. Just your unique opinion. No tech savvy person who understands the bullet points and the technology in a phone can claim that. S21 Ultra to S22 Ultra maybe.. I don't believe you own S22 Ultra and say 120Hz the screen and its camera are overrated. It simply walks all over my previously owned S20 Ultra let alone Note 10 +. Or it is that you don't know what to look for and understand the differences and you are satisfied with Note 10 + camera in which case I understand but you can't say there aren't major differences because there are. In terms of dynamic range, macro, 108Mp quality raw and crop it can achieve, telephoto abilities, ISO handling, video etc.. If you just take everyday morning photos even a 200usd phone can achieve amazing results. As far as battery autonomy, you'll have known by now that AI needs at least two weeks to learn your usage patterns and start making your autonomy miles better. Calling a 6.8inch phone with 120Hz adaptive rate camera and 8hrs SoT bad at battery is nowhere near a logical assumption. Once someone starts using 120Hz he can't go back to steady 60Hz.. Also go out in the sun and watch how bright one becomes over the other. Just watch. Inside you'll never be able to tell the difference. It's 1750nits.. Simple as that. Now if you want a foldable phone that fits a completely different category. I'd have had a foldable from the first iteration but it simply has mediocre battery life (for a foldable which is supposed to work as a tablet as well not just a phone and have the ability to carry a bigger battery) and especially poor camera for such an expensive phone. If they have given me the camera of S22 Ultra I'd have stepped into it w/o any hesitation. But as it stands it's just for someone whose priority is to have a phone and a tablet w/o caring about the rest. S22 Ultra is the finest refinenment of a 3yr cycle in the 108Mp sensor, it has an amazing telephoto periscope zoom lens and next year we will probably see the new 200Mp isocell HP1 in S23. Which on paper will look amazing but as the first iteration of a new sensor it will most probably be plagued with many issues just like S20 Ultra did until it managed to come to the state of what it became with the second or third iteration (or after many many camera updates of S20 Ultra sensor from its launch). Mind you that these are the results from day 1 camera in S22 Ultra, the camera will undoubtely become so much better. Just wait and see. ;)

And no I don't believe you have a Note 20 Ultra when you say the 120hz on the S22 walks all over it. There is no difference between the 120hz on the Note 20 Ultra vs the S22 Ultra except on the Note 20 Ultra the 120hz was capped at only 1080p resolution. Again its overrated and its my opinion. You know like its your opinion that its not overrated. I'm not saying 120hz is not better than 60hz because of course that would not be true, it is. I'm just saying the 120hz alone would not be enough for me to keep my S22 Ultra over my Note 10 Plus. I keep 120hz enabled all the time on my S22 Ultra, but these phones are already fast and smooth with just 60hz. Now in gaming on TV's and PC's that's where 120hz and more higher refresh rates shine the most. I honestly just don't feel the S22 upgrade was worth it for me. I wonder why software wise the S22 Ultra has to reopen the apps from scratch the 2nd time? Why the Note10+ has them still open in the background. That's a very good question..... this is a software issue not hardware. Samsung changed something.
Boa ideia!
And just so you guys know S22 Ultra pest three different processing settings reason why it's closing things is because it's set to optimize it keeps what it thinks is the most important table top and knows it's fast enough to open the larger ones that also save battery without inconvenience but you can set that differently and it will blow on it out the water and you can add up to 18 gigs of RAM what's the thing called Ram plus which turns on when processing is a se too fast or fastest
The s22 Ultras display has a refreshrate between 1 and 120hz, which means, it can be twice as fast, or 60x times slower. Also faster refreshrate does nothing with performance (maybe using 0.02% of the SOC instead of 0.01%).
