Thank you so much for making this. I have an S23+ and ill be downgrading to S24 due to size. This video helped me be less scared about the exynos variant :)
I agree with you, the Exynos portraits looks better. Keep up the good work buddy. The kinda quality content you are posting, I can see your channel grow pretty fast. Subscribed.
@JackHackett1 it is great while watching videos or normal social media usage expect more than 6 hours of battery life close to 6:30 ig While gaming there is a significant change only 3:30 to 4 hours max and exynos does heat up more while gaming than snapdragon
@JackHackett1 also keep in mind most of the time i only charge upto 80% for better battery life So for 100% expect 1 hour more on normal usage and 30 mins more for gaming
You can do the comparison once again. Yesterday Samsung released new update and S24 Ultra camera has drastically changed. It would be interesting to see the comparison after the first update 😊
Thanks for this. But it would be super interesting if you could do the same comparison with all phones updated with the latest firmware that was just released by Samsung!
I personnally think everyone of them has strenths and weaknesses. Sometimes the pictures looked better on the Exynos, sometimes it is worst. This processor is not as bad as people think. I have the S24 and I am quite happy with it.
@@ionutbagmuianu884 Dude, the exynos this year isn’t that bad. The people who make those comparisons always upgrade the snapdragon version to the highest software in order for the exynos on purpose to stay last. My dad owns the s24 and he doesn’t have overheating issues or battery issues; he’s upgraded from an exynos s22. He’s also quite a medium-high user, and he seems to like it.
Interesting and comprehensive comparison. Glad I found your, channel. Advised my sister who was looking at the S24 to pay the extra for the Ultra here in the UK rather than go with Exynos (upgrading from S22 Exynos).
i got the s24+ anyway, exynos dont bother me , it was only £1024 for 2 years with 100gb data and its a 512gb model with a free samsung watch , cant complain
@@yoda_maly No it's wrong colors. Look at 15:19. What is supposed to be white looks brown/reddish on exynos. And what looked saturated before is also wrong color (like 1:38). The whole picture is reddish/off on the telephone lens which is solely used for 8K recording which makes 8K in this case kinda like for the toilet. I have several 8K recordings on the exynos and often it looks like I'm recording at sunset while it wasn't. It is a constant red tint.
Its a missed bag but to my surprise I prefer exynos whenever a human subject is in place whether be it a video photo or portrait. Also I would have overall preferred exynos if it didn't mess up the contrast of coulds
I have watched all of your coverage of the S24 lineup. You are doing an exceptional job displaying a great variety of scenarios. Thank for your fantastic work! I have the S23 Ultra, and I'm not upgrading, but it's very cool to see the changes year to year.
I was dreaming of the Galaxy S24 with Exynos and I discover that it has worse results than the Snapdragon 😭 I'm Italian, not EnglishWho knows why there is this discrimination, perhaps because everyone buys the iPhone and Galaxy A series and only 0.1% of people buy the basic S series phone, I have never seen a person with the basic model in Italy AND I WILL BE THE ONLY PERSON IN ALL OF ITALY TO HAVE A GALAXY S BASE🤣
Love your content bro! 😊 Could you please do an internet coverage and speed test between S24 Snapdragon and Exynos because the Snapdragon has the new X75 modem from Qualcomm which is the first on any smartphone. Apple will include this next year. Modems are very important in terms of battery life as well.
I actually did tests and S24 Ultra always performs better. I just worry that this is due to the size of the phone so I was not sure if my data is accurate enough to make a video out of it.
@@techmo2020 That's interesting but do you mean S24 Snapdragon was slower than S24 Ultra? Also, I meant that you can test the regular S24 models without the Ultra for Internet coverage and speed... Because I saw your previous battery life video and I saw Exynos struggling to keep up 5G. It's symbol changed to a unfilled box which means it's actually using 4G on a 5G network while the Snapdragon version consistently kept 5G even though you were on the same network. Anyways, keep making these awesome videos 😎
@@drivegoogle864 S24 Ultra is faster and signal strength is better than S24 Base Exynos. For comparing S24 Snapdragon and Exynos it was a mixed bag, but problem is Snapdragon version is from Canada so it is playing handicapped in EU 😁 I'm trying to write an Android program to calculate everything in the background for signal strength. I will publish the result if I can find any meaningful pattern 😊 Thanks man, I appreciate it.
@@techmo2020It might be because of bands. You can enable all the bands. There's an article on XDA developers about how to enable all the bands on US/CA version in S23. I guess it would work for the S24 also. Might be helpful for your testing! I could've posted the link to the article but somehow RU-vid wasn't allowing. But you can easily find it by searching on Google 😊

Again Mo, good content! Thanks! Today Samsung released the February update for the S24 series. They fixed the display colour temperatures issue and they improved the camera quality as Samsung acknowledged before that there were some issues with the camera's. I noticed straight away a better sound quality while taking video's on the S24+ Exynos, especially in loud environments. I haven't tested other features of the camera yet. Curious to find out if Samsung fixed most of the Exynos camera quality issues, as the Snapdragon variant has the same camera's. Could you give that a go?
Hey, i was planning to import the s24 because of snapdragon but currently i am hesitating because of the camera, because i think exynos has better results. Do you think after the update the snapdragon results are better ? I can't find any comparisons on youtube, so I trust your assesment. Thank you @@techmo2020
Thank you very much for your videos. They are very good. I would like to know if the US version normally receives updates and security patches in Europe.
Well i have the exynos version and I myself am surprised how good human subjects look in pictures.. In fact I even prefer this to the pixel 8 I have...
It's crazy how each of them has different qualities even using basically the same camera lens! So true that photo processing really depends on CPU side itself
This is a small strategy of Samsung. In order to give its EXYONS more advantages, different adjustments have been made to the camera software version. Camera hardware is the same, software is the major factor that determines the imaging style of photos.
Thanks for this video; You can't argue that the Ultra takes the best in all scenarios except portrait and surprisingly the selfie camera is the best on the S24 Exynos. I do however, prefer the HDR/contrast of some of the Exynos photos when not zoomed. I think if you really care about photos/videos you have to get the Ultra. I hope Samsung eventually puts the same flagship camera setup on all of their flagship phone sizes (base and +, not just Ultra).
Thank you so much for this and the other s24 related videos. As an European citizen that mostly uses Samsung products I am really disappointed about the exynos/snapdragon situation. I am about to buy a new phone and your videos helped me a lot with my decision. Sadly I will have to pay a bit more if I really want that snapdragon processor. Though at least I can get one in the ultra and not worry about another truth hidden behind Samsungs curtains. Keep up with those informational videos. You seem like a sympathetic and down to earth guy. We need more people like you! ❤
@@casuarius6576 I decided to upgrade to exynos 2400 6 months after the s24 launched to see if it improves after updates, if it improves battery life and temperature I will consider it, previously I I used to use samsung phones with exynos so I know how bad it is, the things that disappoint me are always the temperature and battery. One of my bad experiences with the Note 10 plus was that even when I didn't do anything, I just left the device in my pocket and it used up 23% of the battery in nearly 9 hours. The temperature when used in the summer was really hot.
Would please do another comparison video of these phone cameras using only Pro mode? Then the original capability of these cameras (without computational photograpghy algorithm) can be seen.
Tbh it seems like a mixed bag. In many cases the Exynos did well but in others, terribly. It seems it's maybe not as bad as we thought except when it comes to battery life and CPU throttling.
Daft question but to confirm.... Which is the one in the UK currently please, will it be the US one as on our UK websites its saying the Processor is the "Qualcomm SM8650-AC Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4 nm)"
@techmo2020 okay thank you. What a pity, I have an S24 ultra that has an incredible battery life, but I like the format of the S24 more, what a mistake from Samsung!
IMPORTANT: When you have a Global Exynus and record 8K video, the colors are basically off throughout the video like you see it in the right picture at 14:50. A shame!
I have the S24 Exynos, since the beginning of your benches: the photos are catastrophic, the performance also with heat. Which I don't have on my side at all. Your unit is defective.
Why no one talks abt poor camera quality and banana blur on samsung flagship series? I bought s24 and immediately claimed for warranty within 2dy after noticing the banana blur. Samsung replaced my s24 with new unit, but still not quite satisfy with the picture quality. My 5yr old xiaomi note 8 pro even gives me sharper image 😢
The S24 US/Canada has the worst result ☹ *(This proves that Samsung made tailored camera algorithm for the US version, due to many "influencers/media creators" are from the US. thus, that explains the more vibrant tone)*
So just as it always were with the S20, S21 and S22. The Exynos models crush the blacks and smear all the detail in the shots due to its overly aggressive denoising. The only saving grace this time around is that video looks better on the global model.
Exynos was bit darker, samsung still was lazy in tweaking their own chipset. Cannot they have comparison of the two chipset by themselves and then once it's on par with the superior one only then sell it with the same price. In my country the s24 512gb exynos was around $900usd + $100 (20% Tax). If we buy it on grey/gray market (Hongkong/China Variant SD 8 Gen 3) it only cost around $800 much cheaper than exynos that came with freebies(Case and Power Brick).
I really hate the washed-out and oversharpened image on the global S24's camera (especially on the selfie camera). It really reminds me of the old S20 FE's image processing...
Conclusion: Considering the price differences between S24/Ultra. Base S24 with snapdragon is a clear all-rounder with better performance and battery life so clearly it's more value for money.
Before I buy s23fe I watch on RU-vid but now its camera not good enough that I want . Just buy iphone justttt. Have 1 iphone with 1 quality. But samsung in each version its camera is different. The other matter is when you upgrade iPhone there is no change in camera.but android always you must be worried about it.
