To have fair test the number of charge/discharge cycles for batteries of each should be comparable. This means S22 and S23 should be not be used since purchase.
And even than is not the same, because the battery will degrade in time, what we can noticed here is similar performance as brand new device with a new battery
One year in, S22 was running the battery down and getting hot like no other phone I've owned. I had a new battery installed... no difference. Might trade in for S24 or look elsewhere.
Problem is that this is tested on Wi Fi but most people use phone MOBILE. That is where S23 outshines S24 because of much moe efficient modem with Snaprdagon. Samsung modem makes phone overheat/crash in intense use cases like 5G video call or making 4k 60 video on 5G for long period of time.
You are right 👍 snapdragon is much more power efficient and more powerful in long-term usage I have both phone s23 and s24 and I can definitely say s24 is downgrade of s23.exynos is worst processor for extreme summer 🌞.
If this is actually the case in real-world usage, then I’m pretty impressed because I’m only getting around 7 hours of screen-on time with my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Excellent Test. Congratulations. It would be interesting to see the results of this same test, however, done under mobile coverage. With WiFi, phones last longer and longer. I think that these Samsung are all the American versions, which are equipped with Snapdragon processors. S24 = Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 ; S23 = Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 ; S22 = Snapdragon 8 Gen 1; Because the S24 sold in Italy with an Exynos 2400 processor has worse performance than the old S23. The battery lasts less and the processor heats up more.
the game may have automatically switched to power-saving mode at 10% and because the S24 performance is so great it can be hard to notice that it's throttling if the game is simple and not very demanding then you may not see any difference at all
depends on battery if there are new or used , for example samsunf s22 have 2 years since is produced so even of never ised its battery would lost 5-10% battery . Aslo samsung have 2 chips snapdragon and exorys
Maybe age could also be a factor, so the S22 has been in use for 2 years and the S24 has only been used for a few months,,, So the battery health is also different

Wow I remember the S22 being far worse. I've had the three, and I felt the S22 was borderline unusable for me... I'm a very light user, using the phone mainly just for calls and messages (go figure), and the S22 would too often not last the day, which historically for me, no other phone I've had has failed to do (well, maybe the Pixel 4 as well). My current S24 SDg3 has managed to stretch for almost two days at times!
Actually setting 120hz better than 60hz because in 60hz adaptive refresh rate it goes off in the other hand 120hz adaptive refresh rate on so it goes from 24 to 120hz so its typically better and theres some others things may effect like dark theme always on display processing speed u should set it to optimised and using 5g may effect

at min 4:46 there is a jump of almost 10 min in the counter, that is very strange because it still lasts about an hour longer with very little percentage

Recording video that's a black screen and stationary is not a true reflection of battery life. OS not being used on the cameras and the screens are effectively 'off' if the recording is just black
Do you think recording still using a camera even without producing colors is not effectively your wrong because the draining is not about the black or anything else is about the quality video and fps 30 or 60 fps the more quality and fps the more draining is not about colors
Is called processing If a game is intensive with high graphics lets say unreal engine 5 if the game is capable or running full fps 60 or 90 or etc even showing black screen that is a different between the same engine 5 running and showing the graphics not black screen you can compare also using black themes or wallpaper background or lockscreen and actuality it works because is not showing colors meaning less energy efficiency like a TV vivd vs natural if people use the Samsung or any other phone showing settings like color displays well is like most TV are efficiency when they are set to natural mode in this way the draining process is not strong like vivid mode so also while pushing vivid mode plus 120 herz fluid your Taking a hit also while charging the device with screen on bring more money on the bill because phones acts like TV except the phones are useful to travel everywhere
@@Epsilion77 I don't know why you felt compelled to write an essay which is irrelevant to what I said. Two components of the phone required battery use. These are: displaying of non black imagery on screen which requires lighting up pixels. Screen is one of the most battery hungry components in a phone. The second is optical image stabilisation which is only required when the phone is held horizontally and moving. Neither of those were happening so the test is not a true reflection.... Hope you enjoyed this explanation since you're a fan of essays
@wr3099 you may be right I may be wrong is not essay is experiences over years having devices since 2006 first samsung s1 s2 and up amoled is a saver lcd displays are worse in that scenario recording for me means nothing while not showing so why this devices suffer even being record in a black background point imagine recording using pixels like recording in a light instead of night photos so I will give you the point you seems you know what means pixelated or anything else is not essay as you says is a point that is adding Blessings and peace

You should've tell us wich processor the s24 is using. After a lot of searchs, I've found that s24 with exynos 2400 has a better performance compared to the old Snapdragon 8 gen 2 but a worst energy control, so it spends the battery faster and by the performance presented it appears that you used the s24 snapdragon 8 gen 3. The video was pretty good, but in a next video you'd could specify the devices processors.

Had all 3 of them....the s22 did like 2.5h sot. Total shit. The s24 wasnt bad but the king remains the s23. Snapdragon forever. Never buy an android without it dont listen to youtubers

@@Galaxy.Windows yeah but It would have been much better if the s24 was released with 8 gen 3. S23 ultra has 8 gen 2 and s23 has 8 gen 2 too. If the S24 had come with 8 gen 3, it would have widened the gap with the S23, but now there is not much difference between them.
Base model S 24 has the same battery life as the pixel 8 pro and S23 ultra and iPhone 14 pro max which is 8 hours now that improvement sleep on this smartphone 😨😰🤯
Je vais avoir demain le s24 es je suis bien rassuré pour lotonomi de la batterie 🔋 car je passe beaucoup de temps sur mon tél vu que je fait énormément de vidéo tiktok sa sera beaucoup mieux merci pour lanalise
