It’s pretty good on higher quality streaming content. I watched STAR WARS A NEW HOPE on DISNEY PLUS and it is in HDR and looked great. I also watched Original STAR TREK episodes on PARAMOUNT + and they are remastered in HDR10 I believe and again looked great. However my girlfriend was watching THE VIEW program through HULU tv and it was watchable but kind of grainy and no where as good as it used to look on my 10 year old Samsung UN65HU8550. That tv upscaled everything very good. I’m also having a little trouble finding a motion setting that I like in the motion clarity settings. When people make regular movements such as head turning or sudden movements on screen there is a weird blurr of their face. It may be just more noticeable because it’s a 77” tv vs the 65” I had before. I’ve also had a slight problem with the APPLE TV video settings. I have it set to 4K 60 hz HDR format with MATCH DYNAMIC RANGE and MATCH FRAME RATE turned on. The problem is when I watched STAR WARS and STAR TREK episodes I mentioned above it plays them in SDR instead of HDR for some reason so I have to turn MATCH DYNAMIC RANGE off for it to play them in their enhanced HDR format. I’m not sure if it’s an APP problem or APPLE TV problem but I don’t believe it’s the tv. BEST BUY has the LG C3 77” on sale for Fourth of July sale for $2000.00. I’m contemplating buying it and comparing and returning one I like the least. It’s a big tv and would be a slight hassle.
Yeah I know. It was only time I had to do the video and I didn’t want to try to open it with nobody there to help hold it up as we pulled the cardboard off. I didn’t want to risk damaging it.
