Just purchased my S95 65” and I’m shook! Black Friday sale 1799 and it’s absolutely beautiful. I have a bay window directly in front of my fireplace which is where i hang my tv’s, I do have blinds and curtains as well but I never even have to shut them because this tv delivers the brightness needed for my bright living room which is why I chose this one!
Ultimately you cant see the difference on your device though. Sure, they could tell you the winner but you wont be able to see correctly because the S95B has next gen color vibrancy and wide gamut
@@nuggyfresh6430 Post Samsung nerf S95B does not look as good anymore.. They got caught cheating with brightness and forced an update out - I have seen G2 and S95B and they both look great. Don't get fooled by Samsung marketing please. LGs top OLEDs still look insanely good and are cheaper. Samsung lacks Dolby Vision etc. Not everyone are going to pick the S95B over G2 that is for sure. Several videos about this already. G2 won in some due to better color accuracy and image was actually brighter.. Samsung has more punchy colors but less acurate, if it matters. For some it do.
Hey all, We just wanted to reach out and let you know that we've seen your feedback regarding build quality and it has generated some internal discussion within our display team. We're going to have another look at the build quality score and adjust it if need be. We're also going to further discuss this situation and try to determine if any adjustments need to be made when scoring TVs for build quality as well. Thanks for the feedback!

I love my Samsung S96B OLED 4K television and my stand doesn't wobble on my television stand. I prefer the center stand oppose to the legs on each end of a television forcing consumers to purchase a longer or special table. The only problem I have, after turning the television off, there is a popping sound. After doing some research, the popping or cracking noises you hear after you turn off your S95B Samsung 2022 OLED are caused by different parts inside the TV contracting as they cool. It is caused by the thermal expansion the metal chassis of the TV goes through during the warm-up phase. These sounds are normal, and happen in a variety of different environments.

@@JuanJimenez-oq2lk I have had my Samsung OLED S95B since April 2022 when it was first released. I haven't had any burn-in problems. However, I am 67 years old and I am not a gamer. I purchased this television only to watch movies, series, and sports.
I was so waiting for this kind of TV. Have it for two months now, and I am still being amazed how good this TV looks, especially HDR. And colors, after updates their are quite accurate but they pop in HDR like no other TV. Gaming is amazing as well. Love it, and highly recommend it.
I’m commenting on multiple S95B videos. I’ve seen enough of these videos to agree there is definitely a problem with bent panels, and I was sweating it as I picked up my S95B from Best Buy on Nov 10, 2022. I am happy to report that my panel does to have any visible bends or curves (whew). The sticker on the back indicates my panel was manufactured Oct 2022. I was prepared to return it immediately if the panel showed any problems in the shape.
Perfect use case for s95b is gaming, low light & HDR. Sounds like a bedroom tv > living room. 55 in bedroom, 77 WRGB in living room until we start seeing 77 QD, glossy displays
You can have light in your room and it staying pure black. It's just a matter of having the light BESIDE the TV, not shining into it. Then it's fine. It's only when light is strong and shine directly towards the screen.
Really hope so. I don’t like to be in a complete dark room all the time. And I could definitely tell the LG was blacker at Best Buy. Though Best Buy is obviously very bright. Still went with this TV but the blacks were disappointing. I just hope it’ll look blacker in my room.
What a masterpiece. It outclasses QLED and WOLED at the same time. I just bought a 85“ QN85A last year and I‘m quite happy with it. Although I ordered a LG 77“ C1 first. It was too reflective and not bright enough for my living room. But if I needed a new TV right now the S95B would be my first choice. I’ve seen it in real life next to other TVs and it is visibly much better.
Worst decisions I ever made buying this tv, bought the q9905 soundbar to go with it, the hdmi cable won’t find the tv, Samsung has been messing me around for months, I won’t be buying anything from Samsung again. They are a total nightmare.
One major omission from a lot of reviews, is practical use. He she show the steps it takes to switch tv inputs. Something we’ve had for decades on a single button, is now like 4-5 clumsy steps to do……and in 2yrs in the ui is already laggy, so switching from hdmi 1 to hdmi 2 is a complete chore now
@@RTINGSdotcom no problem I was just waiting for you guys to do the official review. I don't consider oh it's the best TV I've ever seen a review. They make it sound like there are no other good TV's out there. New technology is exciting but I still respect the older technology as well.
That's the only conclusion that makes sense. From what I can tell, Polarizers cut down light output by at least 50%, so you can imagine what kind of effect that would have on brightness, color volume, and if not, what kind of effect it would have on power consumption, ABL, and panel life. Personally, I don't use my OLED in a room I can't control the light in, so this approach doesn't bother me.
I'm in the market for a new high end tv. Between the A80K, S95B, & C2, which one would be best for me? Here's what I look for the most 1. Gaming features 2. Picture quality 3. Great HDR & SDR color for Movies, TV, & streams 4. Great brightness ( just enough to make the hdr pop) 5. Able to edit Local dimming while VRR is on

I'm buying this 65 in TV today for 2099$ what a deal. Even if Sony is a little better at movies, which it certainly isn't for gaming, it's not 1900$ better
I agree. Best Buy allows 15 days to return, so I can test out the lighting conditions in my living room. I hope it does well, because the gaming modes and features are near perfect according to MANY reviewers.
@@joshspeed7794 this is the best gaming TV. With all the updates, I'm sure the panel is very similar in accuracy to the A95K but I'm not an accuracy snob, I dialed in the picture in Filmmaker mode and I'm in love. I'm on 1098 firmware and intend to stay offline. I love how bright this TV is
@@carbonm2 sounds good bro. I may pick one up from BB today and test it out. My old Samsung Qled spoiled me on peak brightness around 2000 nits or more. It's almost obnoxiously bright though and I do tend to dial it way back at night. I only have a couple shaded windows in my living room and I do use between 2-4 shaded floor lamps. I heard its better to have them on the side of the tv, but that is sometimes distracting. I'll just have to see how it goes.
The test we are all looking for is to compare G2/C2 vs qd oled S95B after several thousand hours of display and mesure the degradation on brightness and color gamut .....
I’ve owned this TV for a few days now and despite a couple of flaws (which you pointed out) I love it dearly. It’s capable of telly jaw dropping picture quality. However I bought it new with firmware 1302 right out the box and I’m very curious what it was like with the previous firmware 1211 that had peak highlights of 1500 nits compared to the 1000 nits peaks it has now. Would love to know why Samsung did that. It’s quite a drastic drop. Still. I’m sure they have their reasons. I’m happy regardless
@@rahb2096 brightness is everything if you’re watching the tv in a bright room and with the quality picture of the S95B plus the brightness it makes a difference, and for your information the S95B is accurate so don’t kid yourself into believing what certain reviewers say
I just received my second S95B, The first One had two dead pixels out of The box… they sent me a new One but this time The back of The stand does not touch The ground, I tried it on a table same problem, I tried it on The floor same problem… it’s very slightly incline to the left but I can see it when I’m face to The TV… and The TV is very right, not slightly inclined to The back like The first One did… did someone has this problem with The stand of The TV two ? I’m tired of issues with this TV… when it’s not pixels it’s materials… what it’s going to be next ? 😩 Sorry for my English I’m french
The price is very tempting on this TV now that it's on sale. Is Dolby Vision worth it? I'll be upgrading my old Sony x900e. I'm still undecided between this TV and the G2. I would love to get the A95k but it is out of my budget.
Technically speaking, DV and HDR10+ are nearly identical, the biggest issue is availability. But I wouldn’t let that impact your purchase decision. The S95B is a great TV and you’ll really enjoy it!
CNET still hasn't posted a review of the S95B for some strange reason. It looks as though the last time they mentioned the S95B was back in March or April when they first saw it at a show, and before it was available for purchase.
Any problems with the remote control and response speed? Mine was fully advertised and they sent me a new one...I'm not satisfied again, the response is too slow and when holding the button, for example. for increasing the tone or rewinding, it reacts every 2 seconds, while on the old TV it worked 20x better..
Got this Tv for $1530 Dollars 💵 On Amazon Prime Day a few days ago. We don't have light aiming directly to the TV. I belive these guys have this issue because they have a lot of lights in their facility.
Hey! Just to clarify, we don't test products in the room you see in this video. The area with the orange shelves is where we keep products between testing. We have specific rooms for testing which have lighting that is less bright than a room in a home with the sun coming through, even indirectly! We hope that clears some things up!
I was waiting for your review. After going to BestBuy to shop for QN90B, I was stunned by sheer difference in colour volume. Today i am going out to buy it. The biggest colour difference was an image of a gold ornament. The shine and richness of gold is only conveyed properly through QD OLED. In NEO QLED, it seems so washed out wihle S95B was real like.
I'm glad you mentioned that. I'm still deciding between QN90B or S95B for this Black Friday. It's basically for gaming in living room. Window is on the side, not right in front. A few days to go so I've got a few more videos and articles to check out to help me make up my mind. 😖
should I be worried to play games with static image on my Oled? For example I want to buy Cyberpunk for my PS5 but I am a little bit worried about burn-in risk on my LG C1. Thinking about Elden Ring also. What do you think? Thank you!
Generally speaking, constantly displaying the same static images can lead to an increased risk of burn-in but if you switch up your content, and take advantage of the burn-in prevention features, then you should be okay. It's really hard to say for sure though as user experience can vary. Sorry about that!
Seems weird if there is no option for audio pass-thru so it just sends DTS etc straight thru to a reciver (or a horrible soundbar).. There usually is..
Honestly, you can't go wrong either way as they're all excellent overall TVs. However, it might help to use our comparison tool to compare these TVs and see how they perform in the areas that are important to you! www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c1-oled-vs-lg-c2-oled/21421/31229?usage=1&threshold=0.10 Let us know if you have any specific questions about it though!
IMO the build quality is lacking with cheap plastic and a panel that can be easily flexed. The S95B is reminiscent of a Vizio in regards to build quality. Why the assumption that burn-in may be less likely than more likely compared to a WOLED panel? IMO the better question to ask for getting the S95B is the content you watch. If you watch a lot of high grade HDR content to take advantage of the great color volume - very limited with movies at this point - then get the S95B, otherwise get the C2/G2/A80K/2021 A90J for their better video processing.
It is not an assumption.. wavelength modulation allows for a higher percentage of the produced energy to reach the viewer. That higher efficiency increases the lifespan of the self emissive compound.
@@NexGenTek The S95B is not very good at rendering low bit rate content and has too much aliasing, undefeatable motion interpolation which has more artifacts than this year’s LG models and undefeatable edge enhancement. Great gradient banding, I’ll give it that. But overall not a TV to covet if you don’t watch mostly pristine content.
@@johnb4905 Did you not understand that it suppressed jaggies better than any other tv and really cleans up old content and if you decide to turn off motion interpolation or hell even turn it on medium there's no artifacts. Edge enhancement helps. Some movies, games, and shows all look like they have their own anti-aliasing going on. I love my old cartoons but if you can't find a good source to play them from like Disney+,HBO Max,RU-vid TV then you don't need these TV's. But the processing is top notch.
We can't really say without having our own data unfortunately. In theory, these newer OLED displays are supposed to do a better job at burn-in prevention, but honestly, you could have 10 different OLEDs from each brand and burn-in experience may vary. Sorry about that!
Really depends on the user. Some people may consider it more of a deal breaker than others. Technically speaking it isn’t wildly better than HDR 10+, but the biggest issue right now is available of HDR10+ content. But ya, it’s a subjective opinion unfortunarely so we can’t say for sure!
I have a question what calibration device do you use to calibrate your TV’s? I want to calibrate my S95B for use with my PS5 and I want to get as close to 6500k as possible.
We use a dedicated calibration tool and software, but it can be quite costly for someone just looking to calibrate one display. Hardware Unboxed has a good video on how to calibrate a monitor here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f2nVNxx1IHo.html For the average user though, we'd recommend the Calibrate Color Checker Display Pro colorimeter, or the non-pro model if you don't mind the longer calibration time. Calibrite is the new brand name for X-Rite colorimeters. Hope this helps!
Which of the following would you recommend base on the deal and quality? Samsung QN65QN90B $1,462.49. Samsung QN65QN95B $1,797.00 and Samsung QN65S95B $1,693.60. Thanks
I checked Consumer Reports for you. Get the S95B if you want Oled or the QN90B if you want led. The S95B scored 86, the QN90B scored 84, and the QN95B scored 79 out of 100. The QN90B scored excellent for motion handling while the S95B scored very good. You'll get the rainbow effect on the QN90B though if you have a direct bright light hit the screen.
Similar to the comment below, it’ll definitely depend on your viewing environment. The S95B is the better overall TV, but it really isn’t a good fit for rooms with lots of light hitting the screen. So, if that looks like your viewing environment, then go for the QN90B!
Got the Samsung S95B and a rtx 2070 laptop, 2.1 hdmi cable. Colours look washed out as always on Full and rgb in nvidia settings. Other options dont do nothing. On the samsung options the signal imput when i click on it on the hdmi slot i got the pc in, the tv stops showing the signal completely and goes back to my laptop, where i have to unplug and plug back in the hdmi to make my tv recognize the input. Not being able to turn on the Input Signal on the specific hdmi slot(tried all 4) prevents me from turning on Game Mode on the s95B, which is needed for best latency and refresh rate and so on… very frustrated. If anyone knows what’s going on please, would like some help.
I’m just gonna get one that either has a decent payment plan for the credit card or whatever I can fine cheapest. Man I hope Hisense comes through this year
Hey Elliot, It uses the exact same panel as the S95B, so it has the same issue. There could be additional mitigation layers that we don't know about, though, we'll only know more when we get it.
@@lort6022 yeah I saw digital trends review say it's barely noticeable. And would only be annoying to those who look for it. No oled tv is perfect anyway...
Sometimes when watching tv/movies, the area of the screen that is black or dark has pixelation. Can someone here tell me if you experience this on mid range($1200-1500k) tvs too?
Hi, you might want to use premium higher end TVs to avoid the problems that cheap panels have. I would recommend Samsung's QD-OLED or an LG W-OLED tv to not have such pixelated effect.
We've actually seen various reports between users. On our end though, with the latest firmware, it's buggy and doesn't work consistently. The variable refresh rate feature works up to 144Hz, but often flashes constantly, and it's not really useable right now on our TV. Other owners seem to have better luck though, as there are some reports of it working properly for some people.
To be fair, we aren't necessarily saying it's the best, we're trying to answer whether or not it is with our video (the title is more of a question not a statement). As for the A95K though, we're going to buy and review with as soon as we can! :)
Sony is not the best that TV shootout was bais as hell. The Samsung once it gets calibrated its amazing and G2 also is a awesome. Way better value then the Sony now if you want bragging right go hand but, does not necessarily mean it's the best.

Both of these options are excellent overall TVs. The issues we ran into with the Samsung just means it's best suited for a dark room. The S95b has oversaturated colours like you said at 7:20. Even after the calibration the colours are not neutral so its not an good oled. Its all about the neutrality
Can you guys maybe do a comparison video of this TV with firmware update 1302 & the latest one 1302? The latest update made great significant changes in picture quality & brightness
@@RTINGSdotcom Your review is mostly invalid due to the changes in the panel with 1302. Anyone leaving their reviews up with this knowledge should put a disclaimer on the review that it is no longer up to date.
@@bustercherry8734 In fact the G2 measured 46% brighter than the C2 ... which is massive ! @@RTINGSdotcom I will for sure! I wanted to ask, when you reviewed the QN90A (I know it was a while ago), did you find the DSE to be more like vertical lines down the tv? I find the DsE on mine is not like random darker spots, it’s faint lines down the entire screen. I only see it in light images or sports when the screen pans so it’s not terrible but distracting. Almost looks like the sections where the panels were joined together. Weird!
@@scottmoreau5630 It's more about higher pixel count, and more dimming zones, than 8k content, plus the quality control seems to be better on their flagship tvs(like 8k).
Color fringing appears in non-texts as well. It is most obvious on edges of objects that has solid colors such as 2D games and window borders. I have returned my Alienware and that was that. QD-OLED will remain as a garbage tech for PC monitor until they switch to a better subpixel layout. For PC monitors: JOLED >>>>>>>> WOLED >>> QD-OLED.
It only shows on text. Not sure about the qd monitor but I use the S95B for my 3090 and there's no better displaying absolutely amazing and I'm a pixel peeper.
You can connect a sounbar to this TV so you shouldn't have any issues with the Sonos Arc. Is there something specific you're worried about when you're asking whether or not it supports it?
Early October I purchased a QD OLED S95B 55in from Samsung Canada. After a month of tweaking and calibration, I still faced motion issues watching LIVE CONTENT. FPS drop from 60FPS to 30 every 1-2 min, it jerks and looks like I'm watching a 24p movie. Called for support and I was appointed a technician. Saw what I was talking about and mentioned that it is what it is. Maybe a firmware update can help, but Samsung releases 1-2 per year a firmware update. Technician mentioned that it is by design. I have an A95K based on the same panel and it does not have any motion issues like the S95B. Called back support & request Full refund as I'm not satisfied. Support Agent had a very bad approach and kept pushing back and rely on Samsung politics. Did not have any empathy nor he tried to understand my experience and kept reading the Technician note and shoving Samsung's politics in my face. Very Bad customer service on top of a bad S95B TV. Do not buy this TV and keep away from Samsung in General, as once you buy a product, you're not satisfied in a few days then your stuck with a junk product. Bad $2500 investment.

It showing Samsung is the better tv overall for sports movies hdr etc is that correct? Why is Sony like a £1000 more if the picture isn’t as good as the cheaper Samsung? Thanks
Thing is with Dolby Vision, in order to get the full experience, you need 12-bit color which nobody makes a TV with a 12-bit panel. So basically, HDR10 and 10+ are going to look damn near the exact same.
While it’s true that 12 bit will allow for more color gradient it’s not what makes Dolby vision/ HDR 10+ different than just regular version of HDR 10 Don’t spread misinformation my guy
No you don't haha, Dolby Vision works just fine with 10 bit. It is dynamic metadata, HDR10 is static. Dolby Vision is pretty much HIGH-END HDR where HDR10 is basic HDR and Samsung only supports this, because HDR10+ is dead and buried, which is Samsungs answer to DV. Sad but true.
@@lort6022 Samsung dynamic tone mapping makes HDR10 like HDR10+ and looks so much better than DV also HDR10+ is going to be everywhere it is now on Apple TV, Paramount+,Amazon Video,Hulu, etc

Should you buy this TV the answer should be No, SD content looks not that great. Tizen OS is terrible. Build quality isnt what you are suppose to get for that kinda money. There’s no way I heard that right. He did not just say the build quality was great. Common Rtings ….it’s a known fact that a hight number of panels are bent right out of the box. That’s not indicative of high built quality.
Is it true that the last firmware update took away over half the TVs brightness? I'm also wondering if the latest firmware was used for your testing? It's been said that the TV stands at 300nits after last update. I'm wanting to buy it,but I'm holding off till more information comes out on this.
