My oven door sets too high when I put it back on and won’t close fully. I have tried multiple times placing the doo back on at 5 degrees per the manual. Is there a trick to getting it back on so that it is low enough to close?

My Samsung range door lock cycles open, but then returns to a middle position, not allowing the door to close. The motor is working, but seems to be 90 degrees out of synch with where it should be. I can manually cycle the locking mechanism with the child lock button, but after moving to the unlocked position, it keeps going and returns to a middle position that will not allow the door to close correctly. The unlocked and locked positions end up being practically the same position, about halfway between what they should be. (We did have a brief power outage the other day, if that might be related.)
What a pain. My oven has been completely unusable because of this bad design. They should have implemented a manual lock in the front of the oven and kept the self clean from engaging if the lock wasn't engaged. With the electric lock, if the locking mechanism is broken, they won't even allow the oven to be used as an oven. The door error locks out any other usage.
Samsung’s instruction for putting oven door back on simply don’t work! I watch the way you did it just once and was able to get it on instantly! After trying for an hour while flinging expletives!
