***EDIT: I mistakenly said that the Tab S7 FE did not have pressure sensitivity with the stylus. What I meant to say was that the Tab S7+ had greater sensitivity. However, both of these are incorrect. Both the Tab S7 FE and S7+ have the same 4,096 pressure sensitivity. The S Pen on the Tab S7+ does have a better response time though rated at 9ms, whereas the S7 FE latency is just under 30ms. Sorry for the confusion***

Doesnt matter at all. The only thing that matters with the S-Pen is 60hz vs 120hz. Everything else is nuts

It's amazing to me how aggressive samsung are with their discounts in the US. In my country there are no trade ins and even a second hand tab s7 plus is around 600 euros while a new one is about 1000. Edit: Which is why I don't really see a comparison when the tab s7 fe is half the price.

Same with malaysia. We have trade in but its not by smsung but from a 3rd party company that collabed with samsung lol. I tried to trade in my s6 lite for s7 fe and they offered me $143. What a cheapskate smh

If you can afford it, go with S7+. S7 FE, if you just want a big screen Tablet for streaming without breaking your bank. I assume you've bought 64GB model for that price? Here are some differences to consider. S7 FE 64GB has 4GB RAM S7 FE 128GB has 6GB RAM, so if I had to, I would at least get 128GB cause 4GB RAM is low as OS and stock apps will use approximately 3GB RAM. And between S7 FE 128GB (468) and S7+ 128GB (711) at least what I can buy them from Samsung directly with Perkopolis discount prior to any trade-in, price difference is approximately 240. This 240 dollars seem like a lot but the fact that S7+ has OLED 120Hz, better S-Pen, 4 Speakers and better processor actually make up for the difference. I've initially bought S7+ 256GB with 8GB RAM for my wife and was going to buy S7 FE 128GB but after experiencing S7+, I couldn't go back to S7 FE and ended up ordering another S7+ for myself.

Honestly, I think it would be best to grab a used or good priced new s7+ and enjoy it for the next few months, then use it for trade-in when the S8 lineup comes out. There's talk of some possible delays due to covid impacting Samsung employees, so it might still be few more months until we get the S8. But with it being right around the corner, I'm seeing the S7+ on sale new and open box very cheap on ebay and whatnot these days. Besides, the S8 might not really be that big of an upgrade, and you'll be all set with the S7+ if that turns out to be the case, then trade it in for the S9 when it gets released in like a year and a half. That's likely what I'll end up doing. Side note: I had the S7+ already and it's flippin' awesome. I only sold it because I mostly started using my Fold 3 as my tablet when I first got the Fold 3. But now I miss having the S7+, so I'm going to get another one. I really miss the second screen feature it has that the Fold 3 doesn't, lesson learned.

i think the delays is more due to the glpbal shortage of chips then due to Samsung employees getting covid. its affecting Apple too, they cut production for iPad mini 6 took the A15 chips and pass it to iPhone 13 instead. I like that the S7 FE, S7, S7+ has Dex built in, while Fold 3 has Dex but you need to conect it to an external monitor to enable it.. you cannot turn on Dex just with Fold 3 in open mode..

Im eyeing the s7 FE since I’m only looking to use the tablet for watching videos for the most part because of the large display. I don’t need a crazy fast chipset or expecting this to be a laptop replacement so I think the FE will be enough for my needs. I’m just a little annoyed that the 256gb version doesn’t seem to be available in Canada so I’m probably going to be forced to go with 128gb. Plenty of storage is preferred for me so I can be able to download all the movies and tv shows that I have on my hard drive to the tablet. Oh well,,, it is what it is.

Don't know where you're from but in Western Europe the S7+ costs around €800 for the wifi-version and €950-1100 for the Sim-card/LTE-version. Almost twice as much as the S7 FE yet i'd still go for the S7+ just because of it's market leading display, watching movies & videos is gonna be unmatched on the S7+.

@@excusemeforbeingsorry I’m from North America and honestly, the S7+ is still a good $600-700+ more dollars than the FE where I’m at. I won’t be using the tablet for anything that needs a lot of power and I’m not picky about the display tbh, I just want it big since it’s better for my eyes. It just makes sense for me to go for the cheaper model.

I think I’d better buy s7+ it support HDR 4K movies. Got s6 lite. A bit blurry and dark. I think I’m sensitive about oled screen. Good luck with your choice. Would be nice to have both. Using s6 lite Is read comics and watch movies. I think digital comics are not right aspect on s6 lite.

I have the S7 FE and it is great for everything i do on it. I play tablet games and stream movies, shows and RU-vid. Never have an issue.You also can get a keyboard case and get a USB-c to female USB adaptor and plug in a mouse and it will have a pointer and the mouse will work. Works just like a laptop.

Would have appreciated more talk about buying now vs waiting until we hear more about the S8. Do I pull the trigger on a S7 this black Friday, or wait it out? Thanks for the great work!

@@jpuhak1 I would look at buying now then I’d you can get one for $400 or less. It’s a good tablet and then if you want the new one trade it in when the S8 comes out and I can almost guarantee you’ll get close to what you paid for it with Samsung trade in. Or sell it and use that to go towards the S8. The S8 you’ll be paying a lot more once it gets here. You may find that this one works well and meets your needs and don’t need a new tablet anyway.

Thanks for your video. I just broke the screen on my tab s6 and it's too expensive to replace it, especially since I live in Japan. I really loved my tab s6 because the CPU is good with SD 855 and I absolutely love the AMOLED display. The tab s6 is a 10.5 inch tablet. I really want an AMOLED display otherwise I would have already ordered the tab S7, but it doesn't have an AMOLED display so I'm reluctant. So, I have a few questions for you. First, do you really think the AMOLED display on the tab s7+ is that much better than the tab S7? Secondly, do you think the tab s7+ is too big, going from a 10.5 inch screen to a 12.4 inch screen? I'll be buying a new tablet in January, so should I wait till they announce the tab s8 so I can get the tab s7 or 7+ cheaper? Thanks in advance for your advice and keep up the good work on your channel. The reason I'm asking these questions is because they have Samsung phones in Japan but they don't sell the tablets so I can't compare them.

Got my S7 FE (64/4GB) for 404 CAD + Tax without trade in. I think it suits my needs of reading books/PDFs and watching videos. I wasn't looking for a laptop replacement and I'm not looking to use the giant tablet to click pictures. The S Pen is pretty good as well for annotating PDFs. Overall, It's a great catch I'd say.

Thanks for the video. I don't have the s7+, but the s7 fe is my fav tablet after the iPad mini 6. ( I have 12.9 pro iPad) The size of screen is great to watch movie and use as a second screen, the dex is neat. the spen writing is great!

Just a quick note about the s-pen. All the s-pen Stylus’ have pressure sensitivity. Actually the current Wacom EMR tech inside is pretty old that first appeared I think in the Samsung Galaxy note 4 or 5 where it had 4096 levels of pressure. Previous Wacom EMR had lower levels of pressure, was still great! It’s pretty common tech Wacom licenses out. I’m surprised why more companies don’t adopt it as it just hasn’t been matched since outside the Wacom pro tablets. Anyway for any artists on a budget, don’t worry the cheaper s-pen enabled tablets by Samsung have pressure sensitivity. I used to sketch on my tab s6 lite for a year and the pen was great (the screen ghosting wasn’t)

Prices are still ridiculous here in Australia. Best pricing I can get through the student store: Tab S7 FE 64gb / 4gb RAM - $640 AUD Tab S7 128gb - $840 AUD Tab S7+ 128gb - $940 AUD those are all discounted student prices, and that is 35% off for the Plus. I still can't decide. I basically want something to supplement my e-ink reader for tech books, PDFs and other documents with colour, plus for note taking in split screen. S7 FE I think should (?) be adequate here, but worried about it being too large & unwieldy to use (only around the house, but on lounge, etc). Other than that, the battery life seems okayish for it. Not sure how much the hardware will hinder 'multi tasking' (reading book + notes in split screen, maybe a few browser tabs open in the background) S7 kinda tempting for better performance and more comfortable size at 11 inches, but not sure how well it works for split screen reading & note taking.. But then with the S7+ being discounted, if I were to pay $840 for the normal S7, it's tempting to pay extra $100 to get the Plus. The blacks of super AMOLED could be useful when reading & note taking in dark mode with a black background. Regardless, pricing here is just silly and makes it difficult to decide

Well, you are right at some points, but I have to disagree that FE is for kids and for light use only, or not for productivIty. Get the 256gb model, it comes with 8gb Ram. I don't care much not having a fingerprint. You know I wouldn't give this to a kid for its big size. There are lot of kids tablets out there, like Amazon fire tablets, and you would not worry too much about breaking, they have kid proof case, and I believe it was on sale for under $50, so that. productivity is different for everyone. What you do for Work also depends on choosing a tablet. Thanks for the comparison tho.

I appreciate the hard work you put into making these videos. I have a Tab S7 and I have it back in the box. I find the screen does not appear too good when compared to my iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) or Pro 11 (2018). Thinking about getting the S7+ but they don’t have the mystic bronze to match my Note 20 Ultra. If I don’t like the S7 screen I know I’m definitely not going to like the screen on the S7fe. The S7+ is guaranteed to be the superior option.

In India im getting S7 FE (4GB Ram) for Rs 37000 (500 US Dollars) and S7 PLUS (6GB Ram) for Rs 53000 (710 Us Dollars). Should I save 200 Dollars and get FE. I am a law student, and am not going to use the tab for drawing/etc. But I do appreciate a good display!

I have the iPad 7th gen which is still a great tablet but I couldn't pass up the 12.4" great big display of the S7 FE. I got the 64 GB version and bought a 128 GB micro SD card. I simply couldn't justify the very steep price tag of the iPad pro 12.9." The S7 FE is a great bargain for what you get. I'm very happy with it!

I would like to purchase Samsung S7+ tablet. Currently, in the Samsung website, only 128GB ROM is available. I wanted to ask you, if 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM is a decent one. My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.

Here in NZ the price is currently $730 for the S7 FE and $1500 for the S7+ Wifi Only 128gb edition. Those are both discounted prices on a count of Christmas sales as well. Big oof.

HELP-- Hey-- I am stuck in analysis paralysis here between the FE and the + because I want the larger screen. Currently thinking of using this for organization at work like writing note-taking/to-do list via the stylus (to replace a notebook and a monthly daily planner) Maybe doing some presentations, watching movies, RU-vid or check email, basic stuff like that. What's your call on that? The most business task I could think of would be marking up PDFs of marketing layouts. At that point do I need the expensive model or would the FE work?

Must be a great tablet 🤟 I want one but I'm under a budget & the FE addition is cheap on Samsung w/ my Note 10+ trade in but I'd rather get the S7+ over the 8+, etc..

I really wanted s7. I don't like big tablets. Wish Samsung would make high end 8 inch tablets. BUT...... I went with the FE.... got it so cheap. If I had the budget though.... I would of went with S7 or Plus for sure. But I only use tabs for movies.

Really thank you. I am buying one of them but I can't trade in anything. But on Amazon the Samsung tab s7 fe is 429$ the Samsung tab s7 plus is 699$. I can pay the extra price but is it worth it? That's what's blowing my mind. I use my tablet for regular tab things. Nothing fancy but I will be using dex also for work. What is crazy also is you can get the Samsung tab s7 plus 256 with 8 gigs of ram for 730$ pay extra 30$ and get more storage more ram. But then it will be a 300$ difference between it and the fe 🤣😅. Should I save the money for more useful stuff or should I go all the way? 🤔 Black Friday is a crazy time for consumers.

I would say go ahead and try the FE from Amazon. I think DeX will work ok for you especially with the not so intensive work you're doing on your tablet. Amazon has extended returns until January 31st right now. I would say save the $300 and try it out and if it works, keep it. If it doesn't work, return it risk-free and without restocking fee and then buy the S7+ after you determine if you actually need it for not. That is what I would do.

@@TechOdyssey Same for me, I got s7 fe for 600 plus euro, no discounts for it in latvia it seems. The price for s7 plus was about 150 to 200 euro more and it was sold out in shops, no longer available so i got s7 fe instead and so far no problem. I have also been using it for my work in dex as a computer with its keyboard and microsoft mouse and no problem i would say, it runs pretty well even with multiple apps or sites open at the same time. My samsung smartphone and s7 fe are the only devices i have and thats good enough. I was interested in buying samsung galaxy book computer first but the thing is that in latvia samsung computers are no longer being sold in shops, only samsung tablets and smartphones

I paid 280 for the s7fe 4/64gb but I'm leaning towards trading it in for the s8+ for 329 more. Should I do that or keep the tab s8+?

Is it still worth getting the s7 tab now (December 2021)? I went to Samsung store and they say it's phased out wtf, I can still find them online though.. I love the s7 tab but considering it's more than a year old makes me think twice. I hope you can help me decide between this or the iPad air 64gb..

It all depends what s7 you are getting if you are thinking getting 6gb or 8gb ram then I recommend it.If you are getting the 4gb ram I wont recommend it, this is to low in ram and won’t handle new apps which may cause lag. If you have the money wait until s8 comes out ,but if you have a budget get the s7 with a higher storage in it. Do not recommend getting the 64gb since the ram is not enough to handle future apps. Hope that helps.

No, the S7 is a smaller size. S7+ and the FE would use the same size cover.

While watching this video, I decided to check out the Samsung page again, even though I checked it yesterday. Lo and behold, I was able to get the S7+ for $350 after trade-in (S6 Lite, they gave me $350 for it, the most I've ever seen on their site for the S6), plus a free pair of Buds 2. I've been waffling between the S7+ and FE, but thanks to your video, the decision was easy. Thanks!

Can you have a review about TFT displays and AMOLED displays. Which one will last longer, and which one is more worth it for the price. Because based on my researches, AMOLED displays are nice displays, but they don't last much longer like TFT displays. Thank you! I appreciate it!!

A little research shows the Tab S7 out classes the MI Pad 5 in many ways. I'm guessing what draws people to the Tab S7 line wouldn't point them towards the MI Pad 5. Probably a great tablet but I'm not sure this comment is entirely relevant to the discussion.
