It has a 1080p display, which makes around 12-15% difference compared to QHD. The sensible choice to give a low resolution; otherwise, the SOT would be 1.5 hours less and get compared to the Pixel.

​@@andyH_England1080p Display is fine for such a slim looking device. Flip used to had below average battery life, but this time they seemed to have upgraded battery from 3700 to 4000 and included 8 Gen 3.

I saw a battery test where the creator used 50% outside and inside. It was still beaten comfortably by the iPhone. Though that was a more intensive test. For some reason, resolution PPI or the use of plastic the internal display is similar to the external in efficiency so I wouldn’t get your hopes up that it would be 13 hours, as it wouldn’t be. The test I saw barely got six hours.

I 👍 when close the screen is the same size as and other smartphone which work for me

Actually, surprisingly, there is not much difference. I assume the plastic inner display is more efficient than the normal outside panel. So despite being twice the size, there is little extra SOT.

​​@sebastiengauthier1148unusable? Are your hands gigantic? The z fold screen is the same width as the iPhone which has been sold for many years and no one complained about its size. I love the screen size of the fold. I can use it with one hand without needing ugly one handed mode.

Its still amazing but it was even better it was neck and neck with apple in battery in previous tests but now apple is miles ahead in battery ( inconsistently in models because some models have horrific battery of apple where as most s24 u has more or less same battery)

Do not forget that iphone display doesnt support 2K(QHD+) quality 🙃

I would sure hope so, it's a 5600mAh versus like 4441mAh battery capacity. If it doesn't win by like 3 hours then the Honor's optimization sucks.

@@MF2_ETaube well lots of variables, is your friend using cellular or wifi? Is your friend doing power intensive tasks? Where does he work, an old building with poor reception or open field? Are there a lot of people on that cell tower? Your friend might have a different experience

Lol Samsung barely works on battery. The s22 ultra s23 ultra and s24 ultra uses same 5000mah older battery technology while iPhone 16 will use stacked metal housing battery with A18 pro .

What about 4441mAh on Apple and 5000mAh on Samsung

The iPhone does not have HD plus it is much higher a resolution than that. But the S 24 ultra has a much larger battery to compensate and therefore it is unfair on the iPhone rather than Samsung so sadly that makes the Samsung even worse when we compare scientifically efficiency based on battery size and resolution, a quick calculation suggest if the iPhone increased to 5000 mah and a slightly high resolution to QDH it would score at least another hour. Also we are comparing the iPhone from last year rather than the upcoming iPhone 16 and with battery degradation.

The inner display has a very low PPI-resolution and therefore will perform similar to the outside display. The S24 ultra has 50% greater PPI than the Galaxy Fold 6 which makes a massive difference. If you take away that advantage then the Fold will be closer to the Pixel, then the S 24 ultra.
