Awesome comparison and very in line with what I've been hearing from a picky nerdy friend of mine ;) Very curious about your final daily ( for him, it's the ultra, and fold becomes his at-home handheld entertainment machine, which he thinks is more handy than any iPads ).
I find it very interesting that a lot of RU-vidrs and influencers online point out that the s24 Ultras cameras are better but in my real life day-to-day since I have my s24 ultra for another 12 days before I have to send it back the Z fold 6 is taking better real life photos side by side then my s24 ultra.
Aside from RAW usage, I agree. I find the smaller sensors on the S24, S24+ and Fold 6 give better exposure in automatic mode. The S24 Ultra is king though when using Pro mode
Fold is a great editing and in Car tablet phone ...but price and minor upgrades to durabilty ratio is kinda bad...I have the fold 3 ..and last year it's main screen got fucked up by falling from lap had to get it repaired ..this year couple of days ago I dropped on my cars Gear console and now the inner screen is gone ,with WiFi and front camera also gone while trying the massage method of fixing the inner screen ..Will send it into repair....will also get a new s24ultra as my main daily and keep the fold 3 for the phablet needs on couch and in car 😅😅😅😅
I am still unsold on these expensive Fold devices as they are incredibly low-value, especially the Galaxy Fold, which is very compromised. So for £1800, I could get an S24U and a Tab S9+ and change and would have a far superior experience. Therefore, the price represents the major obstacle, and you must have disposable income, enjoy new technology, or be willing to compromise for expediency. The caveat is that the rivals offer much better value; for example, the Magic V2 was only £1200 on pre-order with free headphones on top and a reasonable trade-in deal further to that. A more expansive front display closer to where the candy bar market has settled on is both sensible and a better experience for most. N.B. In the US, Samsung is at war with Apple, so they offer better deals (rubbish in the UK). N.B.2. Thankfully, even after a week, the new Fold6 appeared on eBay at £600 off revealing its market equilibrium price, and if you are willing to risk eBay, you can get it for a sensible price.
Just upgraded from s24u and really digging the extra screen real estate and Samsung Easter eggs throughout software over ultra especially in multitasking dept
@@DrivebyKnight I would call those features, not Easter eggs. Those are just part of 6.1.1 that currently only the Fold and Flip have. The S line phones are getting 6.1 this month.
I was worried about the phone heating up but after 3 weeks and playing games like COD, I haven’t experienced it getting hot at all compared to the Pixels I’ve used
Your case issues are similar to what I went through with the Fold 3. Took me 4 tries before I settled on an armor case. Ordered the Samsung pen case when I upgraded to the Fold 6 and so far loving it for it's light weight and pen slot.
Great Job, Excellent review, your review is much more interesting and your opinion about the device is much more important to me if I know that you bought the device yourself with your own money. I also often change phones and also have to buy them with my own money, so I know the feeling of disappointment with some phones. For this reason, I consider your reviews to be one of the best. Based on your review, I decided to import the S24 Hong Kong variant, despite the fact that I live in the EU. Is it possible to download the application you created yourself and use for testing somewhere?
Thank you for being so honest with your review. I also have seen other youtubers totally praise the Fold 6 as if it were made of gold and has no issues/ cons. No phone is perfect of course we all know that, but you definitely presented what an everyday user will experience when using the phone to include the high price of the phone. Thank you and liked the science part behind it too. Very helpful review 😊
There was a bug on the website on launch day, and I got it for $599 USD with no trade-in. LOL. I still have my S23+ that I was using before this. I wasn't even going to buy it, but then it showed the $599 price with the trade-in box unselected, so I quickly bought it. 😂
I have checked several reviews of the Galaxy Fold 6 and must say I'm quite disappointed in the battery capacity when compared to cheaper phones like the Honor 200 Pro that's not a foldable but has a larger battery
I think Samsung are getting lazy. All the Chinese folds have much thinner phones with very little crease and fast charging. They also have better cameras and cost less. I'm not interested in a fold but if I were I'd be looking at the Chinese options because this Samsung is a brick. Whereas the Chinese ones are so thin that reviewer Ben Sinn could not tell the difference between the foldable and the iPhone in his back pockets. Whereas if this is in your bag pocket you'll definitely know it!
Yes, on paper it may look better. But in terms of brand quality and software support, you can't compare the two. It's like this: if an iPhone user were to switch to a foldable phone, they wouldn't be caught using some cheap Chinese burner foldable phone. Their choice would be Samsung.
