I hate the term "relevant" since when is an actor not relevant? They're doing roles then theyre relevant to whoever wants to go watch their work, just because you don't find them relevant doesn't mean they aren't its a rather meaningless phrase, what you mean is he's back in the spotlight and youre noticing him that doesn't mean he hasn't been relevant, he's still been working, just cos its not Hollywood blockbusters isn't a gauge of "relevance"

I think why it may seem that Keaton is under appreciated is because his career kind of feel into obscurity after Batman Returns. He kept busy but none of the films he appeared in did enough to keep his name in the public consciousness. Fortunately, he's getting noticed again.

Sam has done so many films lately where he is just cashing in (Barely Lethal, Kite, XXX, Cell so on) but he has those little diamonds like Django, Hateful Eight, The Banker, Kingsman somewhat Nick Fury (but that role has definitely been catered toward Sam) where he plays legitimate characters.

Both actors have great range. Both done comedy, drama, suspense, many genres. More detail explanation on why Michael is on a "different level" than Samuel would be appreciated. Keep in mind, I am a fan of BOTH, so I see them both at same level.

I love Keaton but you gotta watch Unbreakable and more earlier Sam roles, he gets typecasted as himself and alot of the times his characters don’t get a lot outside of “screaming black dude” but when he does he kills that shit. Unbreakable is probably his most out of type and he KILLS that shit.

I mean I have to think even as a celebrity at Keaton’s level, Jackson is probably intimidating to be around for almost anyone I imagine. Hell I can imagine Jackson having a similar/the same effect even without game. I don’t think he seems in personable or rude or awkward-he’s funny, smart and a really insightful about his art form. But he does have a passionate intensity that can intimidate anyone, especially if the person. On top of that, his level of talent and body of work is legendary. Also a lot of people just have peculiar quirks with eye contact, for any given way reason, distraction, vulnerability etc Idk just tonight I’d put it out there. The idea of sitting damn with Sam Jackson is surreal. On one hand, I’d be artistically overjoyed and in awe, thinking for example of how exemplary his delivery the Ezekiel /vengance monologue is, and probably fangirling over his artistic ability -but at the same time I’d be looking at the man who could deliver that monologue with such absolutely terrifying conviction. It’s to his credit he can so deeply tap into such intense rage, power and presence as an actor. He’s clearly pulling from something raw and real, that’s why he’s so beloved and legendary. Again to be clear I don’t think Jackson is some unhinged rageaholic, I think he seems down to earth and thoughtful. But he definitely has a deep and profound understanding on. I mean it was as a long time ago but I’m pretty sure this still the same Samuel jackso. Who kidnapped and took a hostage or two in the 70s (i believe as a black panther? Maybe not but it was an act of socio political civil rights activism/motivation . Lol so I’m js. I digress like hell but still but js

Keaton's always been one of those frantic, nervous energy sorta fellas, perhaps it comes from social anxiety or something similar. Surprising, the number of popular performers who suffer from such ailments.
