Due to the corona epidemic, when locked inside four walls, it is time to browse through their old video archives. My cousin Sani's wonderful duet with Samuli Edelmann came to the fore at the Olympic Stadium's "Pure Life for a Child" concert in August 1995. The song became a hit that year. The song's best ranking was the first on the Finnish official list in week 37/1995
It was thus the first of the Clean Life for a Child concerts organized by the sponsors of the Children's Clinics, which brought together artists and thousands of spectators in August-September. The mascot of the event was a yellow teddy bear with a second paw in a bandage. This first Clean Life for a Child concerto was held in 1995, in the midst of a hurricane, with the recession unfolding towards the heyday and the Eurodisco rolling.
In connection with the concert, donations were collected to support the activities of the Children's Clinics' sponsors. For example, in 1998, tickets cost FIM 50-100, depending on the venue. However, this was mainly due to the increased popularity of the event, as in 1995, the first ticket to the concert cost only FIM 30.
