I can’t believe I missed one! I thought I had all of your books but I missed Samurai War Stories. I’ve been slowly swimming through the vast ocean of information you’ve published!! Fantastic collection of studies!! Thanks for all your research and hard work!
I bought the Viking martial arts book years ago, really enjoyed it! I was surprised to say the least when you mentioned it... I had completely forgotten you wrote it!
The just got my order of the truth path of the ninja and the secret traditions of Shinobi today. Can’t wait to start reading them. Thanks for saving me money and time. I see a lot of other books out there that tends to add there own sauce on it and only give you a brief part of the actually origins. Thank you and love from the Bronx NY.
I enjoyed them all so far. I will order the whole collection in time. It's just great knowledge and wisdom and of course a treasure for my library. My favorite is still the Shoninki. I read it twice. 👍🔥🙏
I got the the bansenshukai -the shoninki ( great books) and modern ninjawar fare... great amazing books... I had no clue u had a comic book that looks awsome... thanks for the video I was contemplating which one will be next.. I also follow your Facebook and the combination of your RU-vid videos the Facebook group and the books is so cool.. your doing great work.. cheers
Got the Shoniki and loved and also the Audiobook version of the How to be a Modern Samurai which is great I'm taken the advise at the beginning to review each chapter again after listening the whole way through to take notes and put the points into action also love that came with a PDF of the illustrations 😁 - I don't train Japanese Martial arts, but I am a Martial arts nerd and believe that what ever your path you should study as many warrior cultures as you can and also what martial artist does see themselves what ever there art as Samurai or better yet a Ninja. I'll will definitely be purchasing more of your work and also love your content everyone of the is great footnote to your work 🙏
Awesome! Hope someday someone does a job like yours here in Brazil. Lots of ancient knolege and martial arts that could use a compiling aproach like yours.
I read 5 books so far, I love them all. I currently am trying to wrap my head around and digest the bansenshukai. I give you my supreme thanks. The modern samurai is my next read (or ninja skills).
Stellar line-up. To date I have to say the Shoninki (True Path) and IGA/Koka are my favs (followed by Secret Traditions and Lost Samurai). Finally reading The Book of Ninja (Bansenshukai).
Dear God, man. I'd need to get second bookshelf if I'd want to get all your books. XD But this will be very handy in the future. The ones that I'm interested in are (almost all of them, but in particular) the "Old Japan" & "The dark side of Japan". Then I'll probably move onto "The book of Samurai" and if I'm hungry for more "The book of Ninja". Great handy little summary you made here.
To me you are the most accessible author I've ever seen. That's pretty cool. I just ordered 6 of your books (after reading into some kindle versions) and I'm hoping you can get around to make the rest of the samurai books in the line over time. I have one question though (that is before reading the books), are there scrolls on assassins? Because if the Ninja didn't do it, somebody had to, right?
I have the shinobi hiden, book of samurai 1 + 2 and the art of war. My next birthday present will be the shoninki. Call me crazy, but the book of samurai 2 was one of the coolest books i have ever read so far. I am really looking forward to a translation of the !complete! gunpo jiyoshu one day, Antony?
I´d did start from In Search of the Ninja: The Historical Truth of Ninjutsu, Cummins, Antony, and tried to translate to Portuguese, now when I've been done will start correctly...
Hi Anthony thank you for sharing all your books are awesome! :-) I wanted to ask you or comment if you can make books on Natori Ryu curriculum like textbooks of A Sort or how to. Thank you
Some Natori stuff is in others like modern samurai but there are plans to do that but I need to sell more Natori books before I can convince the publisher
@@AntonyCummins , hello Antony, I could only find (and purchase) today your book "Ninja Skills" in the Apple iBooks store. Are there plans for getting the rest of your books on iBooks? Edit: I found other books on iBooks, totally purchased 7 books. (Book of samurai 1 and 2, Samurai War stories, The lost Samurai school, Ninja skills, Book of Ninja and the secret traditions of the shinobi)
Love this channel and all your research. Bought all three books from Amazon recently. Also, and I know Kuji Kiri was not something developed by Ninja, but do you know of an informative book that goes into all 9 symbols? Mahalo nui loa!
I'm intrigued by your pre-ninja book "Conversations With An Assassin: Reflections on Modern Society" -- it sounds pretty metal. Any idea where I can get it, and any chance that you'll do more books like that in the future?
Antony, would you consider doing a study volume on the complete works of Musashi like you did with Art of War? These books are a lifetime study in themselves and your commentary would be very valuable.
Hello brother, I wanted to ask you if you know any book of illustrations of ninjutsu or aikido but illustrations as old as if they were from the edo period if you know any I will thank you
